    Rooftop view

Rooftop bar, not common around these parts. When the weather is nice, can't be beat. Get a Pimms pitcher for 4, £40. Sirloin steak sammich is £15.50 and is an actual steak, not steak shavings. Limited beer selection, mostly a cocktail bar.

Breakfast buffet was nice, I liked the choice of scrambled eggs or sunny-side up eggs and there were many options available. I did feel the bagel options were a little stale, and the crumpet I had instead was about the same. Using the hotel's valet parking made things easier for us, very quick to get the car whenever we needed it. We also came back later after we had already checked out and they let us into the gym area to change our clothes in the shower area. Much appreciated!

Fantastic hotel!…read more Lobby: beautiful, multi-level with a large restaurant and bar area. There is plenty of lounging area. Rooms: For Europe, in general, these rooms are massive. The bed was a queen (not 2 twins pushed together). Very comfortable. There was a nice desk area with a large mirror for comfortable makeup application for my wife. Bathroom: Sizeable, nice shower. Parking: There is a small place that fits 3 cars in a single lane off the road for unloading bags. Parking is valet only. There is a lot of foot & vehicle traffic in this area, making it difficult to back out. Service: Very kind staff that is eager to help, whether you're at the bar, breakfast, check-in, or concierge desk. Breakfast: 7 to 10. Not your standard breakfast... There is so much well-prepared food that it is worth the stop.

The rooms are small and I had to share a bed with my mom while traveling (already a humbling experience as a grown man!) They didn't have availability for 2 separate beds during Summer Solstice weekend but I wasn't willing to get a separate room. However, the delicious English breakfast that came with the room was spot on and the breakfast tea got me hooked! My family spent a few hours just chilling in the bar area since it offers the most comfortable group-sized seating, although the outdoor patio is also a nice place to lounge around...or even in the sun room. Pros: cute, old hotel with charm and located right across from Jesus Green. The service was decent and the maid-service was very accommodating. Delicious full English breakfast option! Parking lot. Cons: No lifts/elevators for older people to walk up. Also, the wifi here is quite spotty and I had to sit in odd corners of my room to get a decent signal. There was kind of a lack of available outlets to charge my phone and stuff. I think the price for the room would be better if discounted by 20-30% and I think doing an AirBNB might be a better option the next time I visit Cambridge...but next time I'm in a bind for a room, I wouldn't mind staying here again.

My room had a new small flat screen TV although it was mounted against the side wall and not in front of the bed. There are no Irons and ironing boards in the room which for me being a business traveler was most inconvenient. Apart from those two issues the Arundel was comfortable and very well located.

This was freezing, no matter what time of day I tried and I was here for three nights. They can say all they want about "sustainability" but this is about being cheap. And I can run the shower. I was in Scotland with a shower just like it and the Scots gave me hot water. And they promised me 5 pounds if I didn't get my room cleaned. They didn't clean and they never gave me my voucher. But the big thing is the water. I would have paid more to stay some where else for a decent shower.

First hotel that we stayed in for our UK trip and I have to say after being around the entire area…read moreof UK this one is pretty alright. Yes Ibis is known to be a pretty small and very tight hotel. There also is no front desk, they have places for you to sit at but you aren't allowed to eat any food that is bought outside! While I was there I saw a group of 20 people trying to use the level one facility where breakfast is served, but they had bought 8 large pizzas. Overall this place is suppose to be budget friendly which you can see a lot of different types of people here. Location wise it's pretty convenient and close to the train station. But I have honestly never been in a room this tiny before. If you paid for breakfast it's pretty much the same thing daily which is a traditional English breakfast filled with eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, fruit salad, sausages, and some cheese. But I would say skip it and just go outside to a coffee shop. It's not worth the amount that you have to pay.
