This review is for the first-time, hesitant -to-purchase-from-a-breeder (or…read morestranger)-because-of-all-the-bad-stories-you've-heard-about-others'-experiences. We were such people originally, and that's why I need to share our review about Bobcat Frenchies here. We were determined to only do adoption and not go through a breeder originally, and knew we wanted a French bulldog. Long story short, through a lot of research, we determined it was far better for us to be assured of the Frenchie's health and well-being and a sound genetic makeup, because when you adopt (as wonderful as this is ), you don't know what you are getting in its health or disposition. We also wanted a puppy we could mold and train to fit our family and lifestyle from the get-go. So off we went to research breeders. That was a long journey - so many scams and questionable "breeders" out there. We ended up on the AKC Marketplace Website (highly recommend) and found Bobcat Frenchies. They had distinguishing "award" and marks in various categories and were up front about everything. We did our due diligence and also called the AKC and emailed them to find out if there were any issues associated with this breeder (which there were not). We also called the vet they used (hey, we were really , really cautious and did our due diligence). Everything checked out. I share this to save the reader time from going through all we did. Bobcat Frenchies is not only legit - but they have the utmost integrity in breeding and professionalism. There is a deposit required, a contract provided spelling out what they provide, etc. And we got to meet our pup and talk to the breeder personally, (virtually) etc. We knew when we first saw our puppy she was meant to be ours. Bobcat Frenchies delivered her personally to us with all the paperwork , including her shot summary from her vet, a bag of puppy food, and more. Fast forward to 2 months into ownership of our baby girl, and we could not be more happy. She is loving, soooo well-adjusted (and if you see the way Bobcat Frenchies provides a loving, safe and beautiful home for the mama and puppies with their own family, you will understand why their pups are so extra fabulous). Our pup is healthy, hilarious, active, super alert and taking to her puppy training classes like a duck to water... I am writing this because reputable breeders who are registered with the AKC and do business properly and have a deep love of Frenchies should be the ones to get the business. And if anyone out there is new like we were to the world of using a breeder and a bit 'gun shy' with all the scams out there, there are amazing ones out there- and I will just save you a ton of time and research and tell you to look no further -go with Bobcat Frenchies.

Miko tore his ACL in his back left leg. I booked the appointment over a month ago because they are…read morebooked out. so before Even arriving they got Mikos name wrong on his profile. They also require a $100 deposit. I called back a few days later because I made an appointment at a different animal rehabilitation center for Miko that had much sooner availability. They told me that a refund was out of the question in a very stern way. When me and Miko walked in the building on the inside, it looked clean and quiet. I appreciated the fact that there was no wait once we got there. Me and Miko get put into a room and the vet had either the flu or a cold. And to be honest really shouldn't have been working. the young woman who was helping her was much less sweet to Miko than the other assistants were at the other rehabilitation center. The entire time he was there I don't think the assistant gave him one pet. I found that extremely weird but she did have a professional attitude. while we were there, they called my vet to get access to Miko's pet records. they were starting to review them as I was in the room, which I also felt just wasn't up to par. I think that they should've reviewed his records prior to us arriving that way I didn't have to sit there while they shifted through old records. Most of what I was being told, I had already talked about with the other physical rehab center, which I had already mentioned to them, and so they told me majority of my appointment would be red light therapy and some exercise. That wasn't really the case. I will say that it was relieving and gave me peace of mind to know that They didn't find anything out of the ordinary when evaluating him. when the assistant did do the red light therapy she seemed like she was in a rush, not kind, not warm not affectionate just doing her job. Miko was clearly feeling a little shy and she really didn't have much sympathy for it. anyways I'm glad I went but I have no intention of coming back. Please consider before going here that everything that they are going to tell you, including exercises can be done at home. This is really only worth it if you don't have the bandwidth or ability to do very simple exercises with your dog at home. The only actual benefit or difference That is here is the red light therapy and the underwater treadmill. Even the written report for Miko was a pretty generic.

Dragon was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy, and after 1+ year of consistent rehab, we were told there wasn't much more the vet could do. Our vet referred us to Connie and AquaDog Canine Swim Therapy. Connie saw Dragon 1-2x/week for the last 6 months of his life. He loved swimming so much and looked forward to his sessions in the pool with Connie. We worked on keeping him as healthy and fit as possible given his condition, and Connie's sessions definitely helped. Connie is extremely knowledgeable and gave us plenty of advice and recommendations. She is very responsive to text and really does love your dogs as her own. Highly recommend if you are in need of additional physical therapy for your dog.

More key points I learned: (6) 50-60°F Cold compresses for 2 minutes, then (5) 105°F hot for 2 minutes. Start with cold & end with cold. This gets the blood moving in & out of the area. Warmth is inflammatory, that's why you need to start & end with cold. I bought a bunch of microwavable heat/cold pads. I would put the hot pads in a pot of hot water while using the cold pads to heat them back up. Make sure the urine stays clean looking (bladder emptied 2 or 3 times a day & antibiotics if an infection develops), the skin & genitals get cleaned & dried well to or not get a skin infection. Females - don't cross-contaminate by bringing feces bacteria to the genitals. Infection = sepsis Products I found helpful: cat waterless shampoo, A+D diaper rash ointment & skin protectant (vet recommended because no toxic zinc in it) , & Honey Pot anti-itch wipes.

One of the things I wanted to know was what Mimi would like to eat in her last days. Mimi had a hankering for peas and no one knew this except the family and her. Faith looked at me and said, "Mimi would like some peas." She also requested chicken, but never ended up eating anything. Faith also gave Mimi a pet massage as she intuitively knew where Mimi needed to be massaged. Afterward, Mimi got up and ran outside - something she hadn't done for weeks! It was like she got a new bout of energy. That lasted for about a day. Other things Faith mentioned were very touching and helped me grieve. Like how Mimi was hanging on because she knows how much I care for her and that her neighbor cat friends knew she was ill. Humorous anecdotes too like how the "other lady" (my mom) would always fuss over her whenever she visited - very true! Of course we all share a bond with our furry friends and can speak our own language with them. However having a gifted person like Faith who can bridge the gap between humans and animals with such clarity only solidifies that bond. On another note, I'm still saddened as I type this review. Mimi joined the angels two days ago - she went downhill very quickly. Pets are like family - they love you unconditionally.
