Our elderly mother at the age of 89 years old started getting calls from "Nick" and he sold her perhaps 15 gold coins at different intervals. My brother and I became suspicious, and I approached my mother about him. She snapped at me and said he was reputable even though he was selling her uncirculated 1 oz gold coins about 2 1/2 times the value over spot value. She told me he that he calls her all the time, and he is "her friend". He tells her about his personal life and how he is going through a traumatic divorce. He calls her all hours of the day; btw, why is a young Italian man so interested in calling an 89-year-old woman all the time? She then went on to tell that he said that President Trump was going to bring back the gold standard and this would devalue the dollar to almost nothing. Do you get the picture here? He was going to drain her banking accounts of hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy his phony overpriced coins. And I read a review of a man that said that is what this pawn shop did to his Dad and drained his inheritance of $250,000. I looked up the reviews of Premier Coin Galleries (I found on the internet who this guy was affiliated with) and the BBB and other reviews came flooding on my search. This company is located in NYC and has a title of Pawn Shops and the guy who keeps calling my mother with an area code of Oklahoma (405) is actually living in NYC. My younger brother who is much gruffer broke the news to our Mom and she accepted his advice. AVOID PREMIER COIN GALLERIES! While checking my credit card statement online, by chance I noticed a charge of $16,000.00 from Premier Coin Galleries. The only previous interaction I had with this company was months prior when I made a small order for a few coins. I had no idea whatsoever why this company had placed a charge my card since I had not authorized any purchase. Quicky, I contacted the company and after many accusations that I had indeed approved of an order valued at $16,000.00 of Half Dollars coins, it was finally discovered that the company had made a mistake. and the order was for someone else. I asked for an immediate refund to my credit card but was informed that the order had already been shipped to me the day of my initial telephone call. I was told that my money would ONLY be refunded once I received the coins and returned the order back to Premier Coin Galleries. That process was the only option which they offered. The shipment from East Islip, NY to my home in Texas took 2 weeks during which time over the Christmas Holidays my credit card was past the maximum limit! I needed to move funds from other accounts to my credit card company to cover that overage which was totally the fault of this company. Once I received and refused the order, my account was reimbursed. During the 2 week period of the resolution of their mistake, I made at least 10 telephone calls with the salesman, "Ed S...k", who made the mistake and finally the General Sales manager, "Bob De .....". Both of these individuals assured me that they would "make it up to me" for their mistake. It has been now a month and I have not received any type of gift. I do understand how mistakes can happen but the onus of repairing this mishap completely fell on my shoulders. Premier Coin Galleries had the use of $16,000.00 of my money for over 2 weeks and this does not ever consider the hassles I went through to correct their error. This company ripped off my dad. They charged him twice for the same transaction (one of which had an underscore before the IDENTICAL line item). When my dad disputed the charge with his credit card company they showed the UPS signature for the original transaction. He died the following month and I had no choice but to pay the nearly $6K from his estate since I was not in the correct frame of mind to pursue it at the time. BEWARE!! I got a cold call from Frank Duci with Premeir Coin Galleries three years ago saying he had (500) 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars for "50% less their value." My invoice was for $27,000. At the time I was a caretaker for my husband and vulnerable. Now that he has passed I was going through stuff and decided to see if they had gone up in value since spot silver was up. I paid $55.00 each. When I did my research, I found that they weren't even worth $40 each. And I had an offer to buy them at $35 apiece. I also purchased other silver metals with the same disappointment in the value of what he told me they were worth. Premeir Coin galleries is unwilling to work with me and refusing to take accountability for the miss representation of their coins. I am highly disappointed and I encourage anyone to NOT do business with this company. I will have to get a lawyer to get compensation for taking advantage of a senior elderly person. This place has swindled my elderly uncle into buying a boatload of worthless coins many times. They sold him what they said were mint coins that were clearly worn and in bad shape. When we assessed their value online, he was overcharged 50%-70%. He has spent approximately $50,000 on these worthless coins. My sister called the business and whomever she spoke to was very rude and abusive to her. He said she was just trying to keep my uncle's inheritance to herself. How disgusting. I've read many other accounts of elderly people who have been swindled by this business. This is elder abuse and they need to be shut down. read more

This company tries to SCAM the elderly. They called my mother over 30 times today untill she answered minute after minute. They started out with a Morgan dollar for $1000 and she kept refusing untill they got down to $350 then she gave in because they wouldn't take no for a answer. I am selling his coins on eBay and they are going for about half of what he paid (prices NOT dependent upon bullion prices). Not as bad as some other coin biz on the net, but you are far better off to BUY elsewhere. They may pay better because they charge so much! High pressure sales on an elderly, feeble 90-year-old man who just lost his wife is elder abuse. Do a Google search for better prices! They are always higher then eBay or Amazon for the same thing! They're now in East Islip, but it is the same website. One of the Premier salesmen called me up out of the blue. He said they bought a large collection of Morgan dollars. He implied they were graded MS65. He said he would send me 10 that I would be extremely happy with. I made him tell me what dates and mint marks he had available and chose 10. When I got them they were ungraded, and they were not the 10 that I had specified. I priced the same uncirculated coins on ebay and Premier had charged me about 70% more than what I could have bought them on ebay for. I sent the coins back and I did get a full refund, except the $20 it cost me to mail them. I would not buy from them again. read more
