I went to another jeweler for a second opinion and i am embarrassed to report that I had forgotten that the watch was wound by motion and since I had not worn it for years I need to simply put put it on for a while! The other issue was an overhaul that they did do on my watch $400+ and then it started eating batteries every 18 months or so. (The previous battery lasted 6 years+). When I asked them about it they said that that 18 months was normal for that watch. I took it to another watch repair place and they said it didn't appear to have been overhauled and that for $180 they would do it. I paid again and now the battery has 3 years on it no problem.

Marco, a sales man came over and took the watch out for me as well as a similar one that had been confusing me as which to pick. Marco had me wear the watch and he put it on as well which was great since he was well dressed and I could see how it would look in formal clothing. I asked the price which was a bit more than I hoped for but Mr Maddaloni came over and realizing I was serious offered a better price that made us both happy. I have to say that this was an extremely pleasant experience, Marco set up the watch , called TAG to activate the warranty and went over the proper care of the watch. I will certainly be returning in the future , the professionalism alone was enough to make the sale a happy one for me.

It was going to be an expensive repair, which I had not anticipated. He made a suggestion to take all the diamonds out and scrap the rest of the necklace, which has significant gold weight, so I did just that! I picked out a diamond eternity band that I've had my eye at Argyle for about two years and with the high price of gold, I got the new ring in trade plus cash too! I went back again today, after he took out all the diamonds, and he spent nearly an hour with me to make 2 perfectly matching stacking diamond eternity bands to go on either side of the ring that I purchased the day before.
