I wasn't going to review this but it just didn't sit right with me. Was visiting a friend last night and when I went to go through the gate the security lady was extremely rude. I have never felt like so much of an inconvenience. Then when we were going for a walk for her to show me around, I saw the same lady get verbally aggressive to a woman in her car. I had planned on getting a membership and now, I'm disgusted and don't think I'll be returning or trying to join. Nasty workers make a bad environment. Good luck. read more

This is a really nice RV park. It is gated, sites are nice sizes and there are lots of amenities here. One of the biggest, of course, is the swimming pool. Many activities are offered for guests. We stayed here on Passport America so the price was right too. Even though our plans were only to be in town a couple days on our way south, we still enjoyed the park. We would return if in the area. People were also very nice. read more

So check it out we drove from Ls Vegas up to Mt. Charleston and then down and around and in to Parhump. We did nit have a place to stay and we can meet across the Preferred RV Resort. At first it wasn't much to look at but the guy working the front gate was nice and our neighbor was KOOL. It turned out the neighbor who lived at the RV park also worked across the street as a cook. We ended up eating dinner at the restaurant he worked at and the food was good. No plans to ever go back to the this pet of the world but if we do I would stay at this RV pro again. DO NOT STAY AT THIS RV PARK!!!!! We wish we could provide a positive review on this RV park but unfortunately, we can't. When we arrived, we were told that the Park model accommodations that we reserved 3-weeks in advance would not be honored. The first reason we were given is that they simply overbooked the Park models. In addition, they could not provide an answer as to why they continued taking reservations when all the Park models were reserved. The next explanation was that the person that took the reservation was new and booked it as an RV hook up (which is 1/2 the cost of a Park model), but they charged us the Park model price of $149 so that was a lie. Finally, the real reason for bumping us was that "members" get priority so my reservation was given to a member. There is nothing on the Preferred RV website stating that "members" have higher priority and there is a chance your reservation will be cancelled. On top of all this, we were never notified about this cancellation, we found out when we arrived to check in. Apparently, they had written our phone number incorrectly and took no initiative to try and figure this out. They did have our email address but failed to contact us that way. Their only solution was to direct us to the Nugget Casino (across the street) saying that they talked to the front desk and rooms were available. They didn't take the next step and reserve a room for us which would have been the right thing to do. If you have a reservation with this organization, you should call the office and verify that they will honor it. If this is how they handle this type of situation, it is a terrible business model. If you can find a different place, go there, this one has poor management and apparently they don't care about customers that are not "members". read more

We stayed here for a month and paid for the monthly fee. Everyone here was friendly and welcoming. There are big trees all around the resort which shaded the area nicely. It was needed because it was HOT outside! The swimming pool is an indoor/outdoor pool. It was nice and clean. They do have pretty strict rules but I didn't mind, it kept me at peace not having to worry about someone jumping in the pool on top of my little ones. Laundry facilities are on site next to the pool making it convenient to wash clothes if needed. They have a playground, green grass and a gazebo with beautiful, large koi fish swimming in the pond. It's a nice place to stay and in the middle of town. read more

Preferred RV Resort is really nice and is loaded with amenities for you to explore. BUT this place is really difficult to enjoy if you don't sign your soul off to their membership program. On multiple occasions, my family, camping in one of their spots, has been excluded from public games like Bingo and harrased multiple times by a night security guard for being awake outside past quiet hours but I guess it's actually a curfew. This resort is really more a gated community. Nonmembers are cast to the side and are made an afterthought and the volunteers which are comprised of members make it a harder time for any newcomers to enjoy the amenities that everyone pays for. There is a complete lack of inclusivity of anyone who isn't an old retiree. read more

If I could give more stars, I would. I underestimate this place. The grounds were well kept and clean. Staff very friendly. We reserved 2 cabins and I had no idea what to expect. Each cabin has large private bedroom, bathroom w/shower that included amenities, like fluffy towels, soap shampoo & conditioner. Full kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave. They supply plates, cups, bowls, cookware, utensils. Everything you need to cook. Relax in the living room on the couch that turns into bed. By the pool, they have a gas BBQ area for a nice outdoor gathering. Though we didn't participate, they have crafts, water aerobics, and breakfast (i think for a donation) We've been visiting family in Pahrump for 17yrs. I wish we knew about this place earlier. But know for sure, we'll be back. read more

I really appreciate the staff; they were kind the sites were well maintained. We would definitely like to come back some time. The only problem that I had was the blatant disrespct of some of the people who stayed there with political flags. If we could give this park a "six" on the scale from one to five we would! The secure entrance is manned; the employees are competent and friendly and the park's look is beautiful. Most of the sites we observed were drive through. We had w/e/s (30 and 50 amp) and ran three a/c's (with the Tiffin energy management system) and still had readings of 120 volts on our meter. We had a leaking water faucet and notified the front office. In 30 minutes two employees came to assess the situation and told me that the maintenance person would need to repair it. He soon showed up and was friendly, competent and constantly kept us abreast of his progress. He had to get some parts but when he finished--everything looked as good or better than the original job. He brought a hose to hook us up to water while he repaired the faucets. OK--on to the public areas--the bathhouses were immaculate and the shower areas were larger than most with four hooks strategically placed and a bench to put your sundries on. The hot tub was indoors (between the pool and the bath rooms) and simply beautifully tiled with sconce lights. After the hot tub you enter the pool area. Firstly, there is a shaded area with pillow back chairs and also circular tables and chairs under three fans. The pool is unique for an RV park--it is large with steps going across the entire entry ways. The pool is enclosed by movable enclosures. When we were there--two of the sections on each side provided sun screening but left the middle open for those sun worshipers. Today was 103 degrees so being out in the sun was not advisable. The pool temperature was at least 85 degrees if not warmer. All in all--this rv park is a must visit for anyone in the Pahrump, NV area. Walmart is less than a mile away and Home Depot is a few miles from the park. The post office is less than a mile away and don't forget the price of fuel is much cheaper here than in both California and Las Vegas -- per Gas Buddy. read more

With a gate at the entrance, people that check who's coming and going. I planned on staying 1, but added on a second night. I will be back for sure. read more

On our way to Death Valley we stopped in Pahrump and decided to stay overnight before continuing our trip. Having never been to or through Pahrump we had no idea where we would stay but saw Preferred RV set behind a casino. We thought the daily rate was reasonable so we checked in for the night. It was evident that there are many long term residents here but the park is well maintained and so are the RVs and campsites. No "junkyard dogs here". Most impressive are the grounds and cactus garden. The best part was that we received a warm welcome from other campers even though we were only staying a night. We played bingo(and won!) and enjoyed friendly conversation. Almost made us want to stay another day but I was antsy to move on. There is a dog walk area but it is on the outside of the park and in pretty bad shape. Weedy and rutted. We took our dogs there only once. That was enough to know they wouldn't be walking there again. read more

Love this place. Stayed here over a year ago when I went to Frontsight. Returned on our way back from Idaho this month. Finding mature pine trees, concrete pads, asphalt roads, covered pool, spa, pool tables and activities such as woodworking, bingo, stained glass works an hour out of Vegas is great. Had breakfast in the club house consisting of bacon, eggs, taters, juice, coffee and homemade raisin toast for $3.50 and met some of the other guests. We stayed in one of their park models this time and it was very clean and serviceable for 2/3 the cost of a good hotel. This park has memberships available for a very reasonable price that would allow stays for 35 days at $3.50 per. There are stores, casinos, and fuel right outside the park yet the park is quiet with no roadside noise. read more

The young man who checked me in offered me a discount on the nightly rate if I reviewed the park on line. He didn't care if it was a 1 star or 5 star rating he said just an honest review. I've never reviewed anything on line but said I would. So here is my honest review, The young man who checked me in was very nice. I think his name was Jesse. The RV park is very clean with a very nice pool. The spa was out of order tho I would have loved to use it. We had a very good omlet breakfast at the clubhouse. There seems to be alot of activities in the park every day. The RV spaces were very spacious with plenty of room for our rig and tow vehicle. The wireless Wi-Fi worked great on my phone and laptop. We were just passing thru Pahrump from Death Valley to Vegas but if we ever get back to Pahrump we would definitely stay at this park again. read more

We rented a cabin here for 10 days. It's an amazing value! For $65/night you get a full kitchen, one bedroom, WiFi, cable, pull out couch, picnic table, and access to all the amenities! There's a pool (roof can be closed), laundry facilities (quarters only. $1.25 to wash, $1.00 to dry), pool table & spa (14+), koi pond, playground, horse shoe, shuffleboard, gym, and a small cactus garden. The staff was friendly and helpful with all questions and requests. They are very strict on the rules though! Things are a little outdated here, but it's not sad bad. The location is excellent! It's quiet, lots of trees, yet right off Hwy 160. The cabins do not offer any kind of cleaning, laundry/towel, or trash service. read more

The park is beautiful, the people are friendly, and it's within easy walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, casinos, and a first-class library. We've been here about three weeks & will be here for another couple of months. Love the place. Staffed gate house 24hrs coming & going & always so kind & helpful! The spaces are pretty roomy but would prefer concrete pads but the gravel pads work ok but you do have a concrete patio with a picnic table. Trees at almost every sight!! Lots of coordinated activities & a year round pool with a retractable covering!! Spa & mens & women's locker rooms. Huge Clubhouse with a separate game room, full kitchen, two pool tables, library with all kinds of books! Business office with area for meetings & a nice mail room. Great laundry facilities & you can buy propane twice a week here!Also have a wood shop & craft area & an exercise room. Koi pond with a gazebo to sit at with your favorite glass of wine. Just minutes to grocery stores & only about 50 miles to Las Vegas!! Death Valley, Hoover Dam & Lake Mead are just a couple of hours away! Great monthly rate that includes utilities!! We broke down, our first full day in Death Valley with our fifth wheel...on Easter weekend...Sheer panic. After we composed ourselves, we worked on a game plan and Preferred RV resort was the park that saved us. Although almost booked, they accommodated us for the 6 days it took to fix the truck in Las Vegas. Jason, Patricia, & Sherry made it feel like it wasn't an imposition and we were more than happy with the site. Nice pool, friendly people, and well kept grounds topped it off. This is my 3rd time coming here. And my first 2 visits were outstanding!! Love the place a peaceful relaxing getaway. But this time I was in happy ... the cabin I was in for 2 nights smelled of cigarettes extremely bad. It was horrible. I ended up leaving early.. did not stay for the second day, I left at 9am on my first morning. I will return but really hope it will not have the cigarette smell!! read more

If you have a family with kids do not stay here. They advertise daily activities, pool table and a heated pool. All of this is a lie. We were told that the activities are 18 and older, no jumping in the pool, can't use the spa, can't use the pool table, can't be in the clubhouse, and no fire pits. We roasted our s'mores on our grill. Worst camping experience that we have ever had with our family. We had several seniors give us dirty looks when we entered the pool. We were told that we couldn't use the pool during their water aerobics session (in such a rude way). Would never recommend to families. Not a family RV resort! First, we were yelled at for pulling into the driveway; rather then parking at the curb. Then, we were yelled at for parking forward instead of backing into a spot. The last straw, was when our neighbor yelled at us for our dog barking for all of 5 minutes! The icing on the cake, no bonfires are not are allowed in the park. Stayed in one of the cabins on the grounds. Was very impressed! It was like staying in a luxury suite in a hotel. Included was a comfy mattress, microwave, kitchen area with a full-sized stove/oven and a full-sized refrigerator as well. There was also a living-room area with a couch and a Lazy-boy-style easy chair. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were clean. Would definitely stay here again. read more

The park was clean however the lady that checked us in was "so" rude. I guess you are suppose to park outside the RV park and walk in to register. There is a sign but we didn't see it because there was an RV parked out on the street. He was not parked close to the entrance so I was not sure what he was doing, so we pulled in. The lady in the booth comes out "What do you want?" I said "well I called and you said you had openings" She says loud and disgusted "Ok pull in and park on the gravel by the wall." So we did that. When I came in to register she was not happy with where we parked and made that clear, but proceeded to make our reservation. Then another RV pulled in just as we had done...he probably didn't see the sign either and the lady says "O Look Another Idiot!" What?!?! I couldn't believe my ears, she had the nerve to call me and my husband idiots to our face. I would of left but we were tired by this point. But that was unacceptable. We have a Good Sam's card but couldn't find it right away so she said "that's to bad I can't wait because I have other people waiting." So we didn't get the discount. I also did not like no pets are aloud in the grassy areas. My puppy is not used to using the potty on rock so she waited to go in the RV...thank you! I was there 2/14/2016. We wanted to visit Death Valley before our return trip across the US to the east coast and this rv park was a perfect location for a day trip. The staff was friendly and I attended the stained glass class one morning. It was informative and fun! The grounds are well kept and everyone we encountered was friendly. The pool and hot tub were very clean, as were the restrooms and showers. We received a Passport America discount and would definitely return here if in the area. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because it can be dusty from all of the gravel. This did not affect our trip but some may not like gravel sites with a cement pad. read more

We just stayed here for a week as a Resorts of Distinction member and we loved it. We actually took our side-by-side to ride throughout the desert and it was amazing, we rode right out the gate to open range where we encountered wild horses everywhere and donkeys roaming the landscape. We had a pull through spot which was a little tight with two slides on both sides but clean and well rocked with a concrete picnic area with a table. Hook-ups were aligned perfectly and take a heated hose if you go in winter or disconnect at night because the hose froze the first night we were there. My brother and his family joined us and rented a cabin where we found it to be very clean and every amenity was available with bedding linens and towels. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, pans, etc. Although, it was winter, the pool enclosure was not installed the last week of 2015 but the jacuzzi was great. The showers and restrooms were clean but the hot spa was not working. The grounds were perfect with a cactus garden, fish pond, playgrounds, and BBQ area. We were kind of bummed we could not light a fire in a fire pit outside to enjoy the full camping experience but seeing how the grounds were immaculate so that compensated for our lack of campfire. There is a gazebo BBQ area with enough seating for both of our families. Although, we did not participate in any activities we did note that they were available. My greatest experience at the park was the staff, from booking the reservation, checking in and out, questions answered by the entrance gate lady (who was my favorite person by the way) to the office, to even the maintenance and grounds keeper. We even had a host come by and give us a packet for our Death Valley experience and he gave us the best advice. I would recommend this park to anyone who just wants to get away and relax, it was so worth it, we will be back. One more thing, we were given a coupon booklet to the surrounding casino's and we took advantage of all that they had to offer one evening. Great Place to Stay. read more
