As I don't live in Vegas, the general quality of taxi services in Las Vegas doesn't personally affect my daily life. However, I felt a strong obligation to report this incident to your headquarters. I gain nothing from doing this, but I am taking time out of my busy schedule because I believe this behavior is unacceptable. Incident Details: * Route: Flamingo Hotel to Gold Coast Hotel * Estimated Fare (Rideshare): Approximately $12-$14 on Lyft. At the Uber pickup area, I encountered a taxi. The driver was an Indian woman wearing a long dress and a hijab. Since the taxi was right there and the driver ask me where I go to, I asked for the fare to the Gold Coast Hotel. After making a quick phone call to someone, she initially quoted me $20. When I declined, she consulted further with the person on the phone and changed the price to $12. Since this matched the rideshare price and the car was already there, I decided to take it. She assured me she would run the meter. As I got in, she seemed visibly--almost overly--excited to have secured a passenger. Issues During the Trip: * Intentional Detour: I had checked Google Maps several times and knew the route was essentially a straight line. However, as soon as we started, she took a completely different direction. * Distracted Driving: She remained on a speakerphone call in her native language for a significant portion of the trip. When I asked if we were going the right way, she insisted we were, but then--incredibly--asked me where I was going. * Lack of Navigation: She handed me her phone and told me to type in the destination myself. Only then did she start using navigation, even though we were already headed in the wrong direction. * Overcharging: Due to the massive detour, the fare came out to $24.38. I ended up "touring" New York-New York and MGM Grand and even took a photo of the Golden Lion statue out of sheer disbelief. Unprofessional Interaction: When I pointed out that Uber had quoted $12, she sarcastically replied, "If Uber was $12, Why don't you take uber?" I repeated. "Why don't you take uber?" I reminded her that she was the one who lowered her initial quote from $20 to $12 to get me to join. She then started making excuses about fluctuating Uber prices and road construction. I originally intended to pay exactly $12 in cash and leave, but assuming she was a salaried employee, I decided to pay by card. I left zero tip, as I felt I was the one who deserved compensation for the wasted time and stress. With the rise of Uber and Lyft, taxi revenues are surely declining. If this is how your drivers treat passengers, no one will want to use your service. I believe it is vital for the company to know that you have drivers representing you in this manner. I felt like I was in India.

I asked the driver if he could reset it or help. He demanded that I pay him and told me it isn't processing because I have not money. I told him there was no problem with my situation. I asked him to help me or I can't pay him and started yelling at me to hurry up. Finally, it recognized another card and I was on my way. This happened this morning. Avoid these guys. Real shady driver!!! Glad he rushed me though. No need for a 25% trip saving me $15 buck.

    Had to take a cab after seeing O at Bellagio as I could not find their ride share pick up/drop off…read more Taxi queue was quite long. Drunk, obnoxious people trying to cut in line. The cab we got in was quite old, dim and did not smell pleasant. Driver had their window down did not ask a out our comfort or offer to turn on air or open windows. Driver also seemed confused about where we were going despite giving the name and the hotel. The only positive to this was since it was a cab it was allowed to go to the front doors of the hotel. Ride from Bellagio to resorts world a ride of 2.38 miles that took 12 minutes cost: $15.40. Then they have a $3 fee if you pay credit or debit. They also charged my credit card and placed a hold that still had not dropped off 5 days after my trip. Would definitely not use this cab company again.

    After working with AsterRIDE to book 2 separate trips around our personal events in August 2019, I…read morehad 2 separate issues with each trip which seem to boil down to poor communication from AsterRIDE with their contracted drivers and their paying customers, despite have a written and signed contract for each trip. On the first trip, the driver failed to show up and we did not receive any communication. After waiting for 15 minutes, we called the switchboard, and we eventually were told that the driver "had a flat tire" and someone would be dispatched to pick us up. An understandable issue, but the lack of communication and lack of proactive action on the part of AsterRIDE was very disappointing. As a result, we had to find alternative means of transportation for the first half of our trip and our event-goers arrived late to their event. On the second trip, the driver was late, failed to follow the directions in the contract and caused significant inconvenience to our event-goers, despite my efforts to communicate and confirm the details with AsterRIDE. This was not the fault of the contracted driver (who was very apologetic and shared with me the incorrect instructions he received from AsterRIDE), but again, seems to be poor communication by AsterRIDE. In both cases, I worked with management (Seth, the CEO) to attempt to rectify these issues. In the first instance, after some discussion, I was given a partial refund of 20% (the most Seth was comfortable with at the time) and in the second, after a long silence, missed phone appointments and much wasted time on my part, I was given a written promise of 30% refund, but received less than this (Seth, if you are reading this, I am done wasting my time, but your lack of transparency and honesty is very disappointing). I was not fully satisfied with the resolution to either of these issues and it took me over 70 days to resolve them. Needless to say, I cannot recommend using AsterRIDE for any transportation service.
