    Hour wait just to Park.
    Harry Q.

This is a split review. If you go on a weekday, it's a 4 star experience. During the week, it's much more reasonably priced and way less people. It's a much more enjoyable time but beware there are only 3 main runs not including the rabbit peak. Weekends are unfortunately 1 star. Tourists over run it and they ramp up prices for lift tickets. It is just too small of a resort to support the growing amount of demand. Traffic if you don't time it right is a nightmare as there is only 1 way in and out. Parking is even worse. While it is the closest resort to Las Vegas, depending where you live in the Valley, you are better off driving the extra 3 or so hours to go to Brian Head.

A perfect little escape from the usual "Vegas" scene, only about 45 minutes to an hour from The Strip. We arrived around 9:30am on a Wednesday and had no trouble finding parking. The grounds are clean, easy to navigate, and the staff was welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our group split up: some purchased lift tickets for snowboarding, while a few of us stayed upstairs at the bar to eat, drink, and take in the views. The bar team was genuinely cheerful, and even when things got busy, the service stayed friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the Mountain Top Mint hot chocolate--it tastes just like an Andes Mint and is the perfect cozy treat for a snowy day. All in all, such a great experience. My only wish is that they'd bring back the tubing activities!

First time mountain biking! Harder than I imagined due to all the rocks on the trail... my fault... I expected dirt I guess. Our guide/instructor was very kind and patient. I crashed twice but didn't hurt myself with all the safety equipment. Rental bikes seemed good. Weather was outstanding and drinks in the patio were so good. Sometimes you have to try something new even if you aren't successful. Fun day away from the Las Vegas heat.

Venue, parking, entertainment, attendees, and weather: 5 Stars! Food: 0, 0, 5 Overall: 2.5 Stars so I gave it an overall 3 Stars I haven't been up to Lee Canyon for quite awhile and was grateful to be able to enjoy the cooler fresh air and colour change in the mountains. I loved that they hosted us for free with music to set the mood. It's a nice way to end summer. Since my old skiing days I have noticed some changes that have evolved to keep up with ever changing interests. They have added in some challenging mountain bike trails. We took a Sky Ride and were able to see them madly dashing down the course while taking in breathtaking views of the mountain and into the distance. I was excited to see a Frisbee Golf basket. I don't know if there is an actual course or if that was just a single practice basket. If it was just a single basket, then I am begging the Lee Canyon group to create a course (check out how San Diego did it at Morley Field with their trail changes for the various baskets). They had advertised food trucks, but the only thing I noticed was a group situated outside below the restaurant, making meat only hamburgers. The restaurant also only had mostly meat. They did have one fish dish but it was fried and about $30. I went to the Coffee Shop in hopes of finding some food to eat as I was starving. They were already running out of food, even though it was early in the day. I got an egg and cheese croissant and a café latte with almond milk and a shot of hazelnut. I waited in the second long line for my drink and food order but at least the barista had his act together and had a system to get the drinks out as quickly as possible even though they were busy. The coffee was good. Unfortunately the very simple sandwich not only took forever but I was getting very jittery from the coffee but no food. By the time I got the sandwich my coffee was on the cold side and when I finally sat down to eat it, I realized I was eating the paper that the cheese came on sandwiched between the egg and croissant. Because I was incredibly hungry, and knew that they were all out of food, I didn't take it back and just tried to peel the paper off between the egg and the cheese. I wish they had been better prepared for the amount of people coming that were expecting food trucks, and more of a variety of food, and at least enough food for the amount of people that showed up. My daughter and her fiancé ordered from the hamburger outdoor stand. It took over 45 minutes for their order to be finished. He ordered the hamburger with cheese curd, and he really loved it. She ordered the hamburger with pulled pork, Gouda cheese, bacon, and onion, and jalapeños. Unfortunately, the bun and the contents were beyond dry. She said it was the worst hamburger she had ever had. On a high know note, everyone was very friendly and just wanting to have a good time and accommodating each other in whatever space they were occupying. Also, the Mount Charleston Fire, Search and Rescue Local 4621 group were on board selling their T-shirts to raise money for cancer awareness and a cure.

We loved Lee Canyon! I snowboarded and my partner skied. The slopes were good. There were several areas that were icy, which sucked but that's bc it hadn't snowed enough. We had a blast honestly. I can't complain about the resort, just wish there were more slopes. Obviously it's nothing like Brianhead n stuff, but it'll do for us locals! I don't know how much we paid for the whole day, but it's usually way affordable during the weekdays. Def try it out!

Such a beautiful spot to escape the city and enjoy some fresh mountain air! Have been coming up here for skiing and recently the first free summer country concert at the end of August 2025, which was a blast! There are a variety of eateries onsite, with alcoholic drinks, bar kinda food, and coffee house options. All prices are a bit high, but you're somewhere beautiful. Service was hit or miss at the onsite eateries, lift, or the store to buy ski apparel from. Being out in nature and the views will keep me coming back here.

This an awesome place to get away from the city where it's a little cooler. A place where you can bring your good friends and shoot the shit on the lift. Or go solo and bring your coffee and enjoy the view. They have few restaurants there. And a cool bar

Love this place.Family oriented and incredible views .The restaurant has a faster service and everyone super nice and delicious food.

Lee Canyon is a hidden gem just an hour from the Strip perfect for when you need a break from the desert heat or neon lights. In the winter, it's a solid spot for skiing and snowboarding, and in the summer, it turns into a peaceful mountain escape with great hiking, scenic views, and cooler temps. Took the kids for the chair lift ride overlooking the mountains embracing the beauty of nature. Relaxing calming breathing in the fresh air while you sit for about 30 mins in nice cool breeze. Worth the visit to get away from the hustle and bustle.

We were looking for a place with snow to let our pup play in it for his first time. Decided on Lee Canyon after checking out the website. We didn't find any place to park that had snow. We ended up entering a picnic area that cost $20 for the day. It had snow and Beau got to run with my husband and play in the snow. The pros are/were snow and no one else around. Cons were cost to park in the picnic area. Were all the snow was, no parking, & the restrooms were very clean. Still had great time.

    Beautiful view

Lee Canyon is a peaceful escape near Vegas with beautiful views and fresh air. But online it says $10, and when we got there, they asked us to log in and said prices change daily--we ended up paying $29 per ticket. Still a nice spot, just be prepared for surprise fees.

We're so lucky to have these mountains only an hour away from Vegas. You can ski and snowboard here. Kids under 12 get to ski for free and the kids in our family can't get enough. If you don't ski or snowboard you can come up to ride a lift, enjoy a meal or drink, or just take in the beautiful scenery. It's also great to escape up here in the Summer since the temperature is significantly lower than it is in the valley.

Empty ski/ride area for the last weekend of the year.

Just wanted to say that I still think this place is great! Came here for the start of the season. Their lift ticket deals are really good. Even got a private lesson for $150 (you can add up to 4 people for no additional charge). Our instructor, Dave, was the best. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and overall great. I would highly recommend taking lessons from him!! This place is definitely great for beginners to learn or to even just chill in their restaurant area. The staff is pretty nice and parking is easy. Would recommend coming here at least once!

Is there an EV charger up there?

    No there is not.

How does my wife get from Ponderosa Base Area (rentals) to Bristlecone Base area (eat&drink) easily without skis?

There’s a base area to base area shuttle.

Is the $10 summer scenic ski lift pass for the full day or a is it $10 per trip?

It would be for one trip.

If they miss a day due to illness (with doctor visit proof) can they make it up another week or a credit?

The best I can tell you is that it's on the case by case basis. If you call them and you get someone in the morning that doesn't allow you to get the credit, I would wait a few hours and call back and see if you get somebody that might be a bit more… Read more

If I book a private lesson, do I also have to book equipment rental? Thanks!

Yes. The price is for lesson only. With lessons some have their own equipment, and some are even season pass holders not needing a single day pass, so it's listed "a la carte".

Yelp lists the place is open Fri to Sun only. The website allows purchase of day passes any day of the week. Can you confirm the resort days of operation? Is there snow kids…

Thanks for the question! This helped us catch the hours error. There is NOT Snow Kids during the week, sorry. Only weekends.

Is there a certain time you stop letting cars in for skiing?

It depends on business levels and the number of people that pre-purchased online prior to the day.

Do we need snow chains or 4x4 to drive up to Lee Canyon this week?

You can always call 511 or check nvroads.com for road conditions on Lee Canyon RD, state route 156. Normally during snowfall or right after are when they are needed.

Do you guys offer board waxing?

Yes. We have a tuning shop located in the same room as our Rental Area near the double doors.

    Do you have snow tubing?

No we don't. Tubing hasn't been at Lee Canyon for a couple years now.

How much is it just to rent snow pants?

Snow pants are currently $25. They are first come first serve.

If I had to buy my LOCAL CARD PASS before booking my parking pass (since it's included) and then I went to secure my parking and it was sold out, what can I do? I have 6 tix purchased for this Saturday plus a lesson!

No- you need your parking pass, they will not let you in even if you have your tickets for the day. They do have quite a lot of parking down below but you will have to walk up (5-10 min walk to the base)

Is there an age requirement for kids? Is it safe to take an infant?

Skiing usually can start around 4 years old.

Do we need to bring our ski gear or we can rent when we get there?

We have ski and snowboard equipment for rent. The basic package of boots and skis (or snowboard) is $49. We do not rent clothes or gloves. Helmets are for rent for $5.

    Does it have bathrooms?

Yes there are restrooms in the base area.

Does season passes mean family and friends tickets each time you go or just one time? Also, whats…

The "friends and family" tickets are just an added bonus of two or four tickets (depending on the season pass you purchased) at a discounted rate that you have access to any time during the season.… Read more

Do the rentals include everything you need? Pants googles jacket gloves etc? I've been having a hard time finding what items can be rented. I wouldn't want to get all the way up there and find out they don't have everything we need to stay warm.

No. Just skis, boots and poles.

Where can I take my family for a free day in the snow? I don't mind paying for parking, just would love to play in the snow for free.

Hi JR, Organized areas will have a fee with them, such as the ski area or the parking and snowplay areas in Lee Canyon. You'd have to search along the road for somewhere to park and make sure the car is safe, and completely off the road in an area… Read more

Besides the bunny hill what run is best for easy?

Our suggestion is to take Bluebird chairlift. It will have varied terrain and is the next step.

Is this a good place to have Weddings?

It depends on who you and your partner are, and what you're looking for. As an avid hiker/trail-runner who spends a LOT of time up on Mt Charleston, I think it's a beautiful spot for a wedding--but it would probably be with just a few close friends… Read more

Doc who is our driver agreed so we were on our way. Grandpup was elated to leave the hotel for some frolicking fun. The sky, clouds and wide open spaciousness was breathtaking.
