My husband and I have decided to get back into skiing and needed to figure out what kind of ski boots to buy and try some pairs on. The staff at gravity were incredibly helpful and spent a lot of time talking us through buying ski boots and letting us try a few pairs. Since then, my husband has been back to get his bindings adjusted and skis waxed, and I will as well once my gear arrives. Came in for clothing and snowboard rentals. Was under the assumption that the rental included a helmet, but unfortunately never got the helmet. When I dropped off my rental, I informed them that I never got the helmet and had to spend extra at the resort to rent a helmet. Store associate said they might not have had any available at the time. I asked to be reimbursed for the helmet rental and they dont do that. Nowhere on the website or paper documents did it say that portions of the rental package are based on availability. Seems like false advertising. People pay for the package and should get what they pay for, but this didnt happen. Would have saved $15 if I just rented my gear at the resort. Other than that, the board, boots and clothing were in great shape and good quality. Easy sizing, pickup and return of the rentals. No issues except for the helmet, sorry to say. read more

Must Do: Call and make an appointment before visiting the store! I called several days in advance to book my appointment to try on my rental boots and pick up my rental skis. When I arrived, there were about three or four employees assisting a fairly packed store. Despite it being an incredibly busy Sunday afternoon (the day before Presidents' Day), I was in and out with my gear in just 30 minutes. The employees were all friendly and did their best to stay organized and assist everyone in a timely manner. On top of that, I only paid around $50 for the one-day rental. This was such a time-saver, as I didn't have to deal with ski rentals at the ski lodge. read more

When you get in there they tell you that the website is broken and they can't figure out how to fix their own website. They were very rude. If I could give zero stars I would. Friday: Visited the store and refused service, because I didn't not have an appointment and the associate was alone and busy. There was one couple in the store. Recommendations: Staff accordingly during peak season to be able to meet demand. Don't push poor planning or management of resources onto your customers. I gladly complied and made an appointment for Sunday and left the store promptly. In addition, I was shown a pair of returned rentals prior to tuning, and that the performance packages are new rentals/leases. Of course, I am now good with the new equipment rental/lease option. Associate behind the counter says that he can definitely do those for me. Sunday: I leave my family and drive across town from Lone Mountain to this business - and after waiting to be helped, I'm told my rental isn't available and the bindings didn't come in. Recommendation: Since I was required to accommodate you with an appointment, and you should have anticipated your customer's arrival and managed expectations accordingly - Knowles you could not fulfill them. You could have saved me the trip, and left my impression of the business as customer focused and a value to the community, but my time and effort to do business with you for some reason was not valued in the same regard to that of others. I have a clear understanding on the principles of supply and demand. I certainly do not need to be lectured of such with additional details in demographics dead center in the middle of the store with an audience. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, I received an unsolicited lesson in supply chain logistics, that I didn't ask for. I wanted what I was told to make a reservation for - quality customer service and a performance rental. You didn't care and only wanted to prove a point. Pray another provider doesn't come into local market with more elevated service, because what happened over the course of the last two days with your business was completely unacceptable and I'm so disappointed. read more

This is the 3rd bad review I leave this store today after google and trip advisor. You can imagine how bad my experience was. Now I actually looked at other 1 reviews and they all say one thing rude rude rude. Owner actually decided to kick me out as if I did something bad. Only thing I did is to show a picture of a boot I was about to buy in the end of the season this March but decided I wont. I came back today and I had a picture of the boot like and obviously overwhelmed by the 2 customers he had in store he angrily said he never sold them. I strongly disagree with a negative review by an impatient patron this morning at Gravity Sports. I was at Gravity Sports this morning for a ski boot fitting and adjustment. I made an appointment several days ago and G accommodated my request even though he had to come in before business hours. A woman walked in around 10 am and essentially demanded service even though G was cleaning, straightening things after some remodeling and helping me with my appointment. G tried to explain that they did not open until 11 at which time he could help her. The woman stormed out threatening to spend her $2,000 elsewhere. Some retail customers are so entitled and rude these days. You won't find more competent and courteous people than G and his staff. They are busy however, and further, they are the only custom ski and board shop in the valley. You can't buy what they do on the internet but by customers being rude, they might just throw in the towel someday and we'll all lose out. Unfortunately, this is happening to many boutique retail shops and we are losing the service component we need. Hey people, be a little more considerate and patient especially now during Christmas. Just found this store and I love it. It's small, but decent selection of items. The staff are so nice. The store is broken in to two sides. The door on the right side goes to their main store to purchase items. Ski boots, helmets, goggles, gloves, and lots of other ski gear. The door to the left side seems to be rentals and repairs. Get your skis adjusted, waxed, or rent some gear. While getting my boots, I was properly fitted, and got a super sweet deal on the boots. I paid less than I would have shopping online and got a brand new set. read more

My husband has been here before to buy our eldest daughter & and my self snowboards & bindings. He was so happy with his visit that this season, when our youngest was ready to go riding, he gave them a call to set up an appointment for a season rental. Justin helped our little one find the proper boot size and got her a snowboard & bindings all ready for this season. He was so patient with her, while finding her the proper helmet he let her try on the pink one (even though we all knew it didn't fit her) because she probably wouldn't of settled for another color helmet without knowing the pink one didn't fit her for sure. Not everyone has patience for children, so when you come across someone that is.. as a parent, it is greatly appreciated. I just want to let you all know that Emmanuel, Justin & all the staff at Gravity are super friendly, knowledgeable & welcoming. We go there knowing that when we stop by, they're going to do what they can to help us out with whatever we need.. They've helped my husband find the right snowboards to purchase to meet our needs/expectations.. I stopped by today after checking out a couple shops with my brother in search of a birthday gift. This was the final and should've been the only destination. Firstly, would like to highlight the service that was given here from the manager Emmanuel. He was attentive, extremely friendly, knowledgeable to not just me and my brother but acknowledged everyone in the shop at all times. We ended up buying a brand new deck at a better deal than anyone else we'd come across but he also went out of his way to set up the entire board for us and even gifted my brother a shop tee for his birthday! They also offer rentals for the wintertime on a daily and even seasonal basis. There were seats for us to sit and enjoy a movie while we waited to be set up and overall was a great experience for my brother on his birthday. This shop is everything a local shop or any for that matter should strive to be but also goes above and beyond. 10 stars if I could give it. We love this place. We have been coming here since it opened. Any new business has its growing pains/challenges, but the character of the owner and staff goes a long way. Patience prevailed and we have been coming back every year since. Today our experience was the best yet. Emmanuel remembers my son each year, is totally stoked about every sports person that comes through his doors, and he now has a staff that help him. The appointment to lease our skis left us with the personal attention we needed this year for a preformance package, and was the fastest we've been in and out for our annual ski lease.
