A year ago I started Therapy with Preferred Physical. I can't say enough about how wonderful the results have been. My pain post hip replacement was moderate overall, however I knew I needed more guidance to see the best results from my surgery. They change or add to my exercises, if I have a new problem or if I want to strengthen a new area. What I read each time I go, is their Core Values, that are proudly displayed above the treadmill. They all embrace these values, practice them and that is why I am such a big fan of all the practitioners. Just completed my physical therapy for my ankle last month, and let me mention that the experience and treatment you get at this practice is 1000 TIMES BETTER than what you would get at most of the bigger physical therapy chains such as Banner Core. I have previous experience with physical therapy on my ankle and there is no doubt that I improved the most while being treated here! My physical therapists and patient care specialists listened to my concerns and made a program to fit MY NEEDS. Preferred Physical Therapy has changed my life! Their therapist and facility is head and shoulders above my previous experience with physical therapy! I was in so much pain from bulging disc in c5&6, I couldn't sit for more than 30 minutes or sleep for more than an hour or two a night. I wanted a solution that didn't include opioid pain killers, so my doctor ordered physical therapy for me, I was very skeptical because of my previous experience with a different PT, but I was DESPERATE and would try anything (excluding pain killers) to resolve this pain. Due to unfortunate circumstances I had to go to physical therapy and I wasn't happy about it in the slightest. I was recommended this place and was encouraged to go and I am more than happy about every single visit at this office. I cannot believe how pleasant this experience has been given the situation. Everything about PPT is amazing. From the moment I called, Kathleen was so accommodating. She worked with my schedule to get in immediately. When I told the group that I would loose my current insurance due to unemployment, they bent over backwards to make sure I met my goals prior to being released. About , 3 months ago I got hit with sciatica low back and down my legs. I went to my primary care and she recommended physical therapy for about a month. Preferred Physical therapy was where I was directed and I was very pleased with the results, I left there pain free and my wife and I are back walking. I was given follow up exercises that I do daily as a part of my routine and I am back to walking without discomfort. Twice now, Nick and his team have help me get back to my day to day life/routine. At Nick's House of Pain, you will receive top of the line care, therapists that listen and work together in your favor, as well as enjoy a judge-free and compassionate environment. Personally, I went in my first time about 2 years ago for a wrist injury from being a new mom. Please Read!! ** I have been to a couple physical therapy offices, & Preferred Physical Therapy exceeds them all by light years. It's not even close! What you want in a physical therapist is someone who is obsessed with every minor detail in the human body & how it works. They need to be relentless at finding every degree of your motion, posture, flexibility, muscle imbalance, everything! Because it all adds up. This is what you get with Nick Hunter & Austin! Obsessed with getting you back to your old self, seeing progress, & ultimately - they want to see your joy back. Not only that, the entire staff are absolute rockstars! It's like one giant family! From Kathleen, to Cody, to Coltyn, to Tori - you have to have fun because PT can be tough! Physical Therapy sucks, no question. But so does you not functioning how you once did. I had a swollen knee, could not walk down elevated surfaces - went to Nick - I'm back to normal! It had something to do with major muscle imbalance and the lack of hip flexibility - but I would've never known had I not gone to Preferred PT. Later, I got such bad tennis elbow I couldn't wash my hair without extreme pain or even shoot a basketball. Now? Nick is the best physical therapist! He really takes his patients' recovery seriously and is very much engaged in helping them see progress. I've been seeing him for a torn tendon in my shoulder and he's helped me progress in my recovery in a shorter time than when I was trying to "self heal" after I injured it. Friendly and kind, the professionals at PPT where a welcome relief from a previous experience with therapists who would hand me a piece of equipment and then walk away much more interested in visiting with each other than helping me heal. I cannot say enough about how wonderful PPT is but I will try and give you a few examples of why I rate them so highly. I was referred to PPT. From the moment I called, the help I received in working with my daughter's schedule to get her in quickly and helping with my insurance was already way above the bar compared to others I called. People aren't kidding or exaggerating when they talk about the feeling of 'family' when you are there. They were genuinely interested in my daughter as a person which made her feel very comfortable, they kept up her life events, hobbies, and activities and gave advice on how to keep her injury at bay consistent with her lifestyle, they always got her started if she was early and never ended on the dot just because her time was up. Best of all I am seeing a major difference on foot & ankle problems she has been having for 2+ years. Don't waste your time anywhere else where someone will just throw your child in a boot and send them off. This is a place that is genuinely interested in finding solutions for long term healing and teaching skills to avoid future injury. They treated everyone I witnessed there (including my very energetic 6 y/o who often had to wait on his sister) with the same respect, kindness, and care. I have been seeing Preferred Physical Therapy for 3 weeks to help with a knee problem. After evaluation, Nick Hunter and his staff set up, and supervised, a therapy program which has helped to eliminate almost all of the pain I was experiencing, and getting me on the way to a full recovery. I am an avid golfer, and up to last week, I was not able to even think about golfing. Now, with his in-office repertoire and my home exercises, I am back to golfing again. PPT was one of the PT offices recommended by my personal physician. I admit I chose PPT because of proximity, but, I have been extremely happy with the results to date.
