Within a year they had her in a wheelchair, unable to stand and in diapers. The residents are all in wheelchairs and typically sitting outside in flannel pants in 100° weather. Most of the staff is rude and if you have to deal with the Executive Director, Keith, be very aware that he is retaliatory. If you leave a message that Keith doesn't like he will retaliate. My mother was brought to the hospital yesterday, and when Maryland Gardens failed to call us and let us know I called and left a message letting them know that I plan on having that facility shut down before they killed my mother. Keith took it upon himself to call the hospital and to let them know that there was suspected abuse and that we shouldn't be allowed to see our mother unless we went through the Fiduciary. Fortunately, Keiths attempt at sabotaging our visit (after a 4 drive) failed and we were permitted to see her. The Executive Director at Maryland Gardens is immature and should not hold the position he has. I DO NOT recommend placing your family in this facility.

The staff is all ages which I find a plus. The rooms could definitely benefit from more ventilation, ac and privacy options. While I agree about being outside in 100% heat is not good, it is Phoenix folks and they need nature/fresh air. My mom has been there for 3 months now and she says everyone is nice and she likes the food.

ATI Physical Therapy is discreetly hidden in office building near the Baptist Hospital (Abrazo…read moreHealth) off Bethany Road in Phoenix. The place is easy to get to and parking is plentiful. Dion, the Clinic Director is just plain awesome. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and a master at his craft. He does not hesitate to share his knowledge to his patients and his peers. You can tell he has a love for his job and his craft which is hard to find. He does not make you feel small or insufficient which those feelings can sneak up on you. For me, my journey is a broken arm at 56, at an age when I am at my worst shape ever. overweight and riddle with arthritis. I have a long journey and have made so much progress. Dion and associates, Ed, etc, I have nothing but praise. These are a group of fun people that you wished you were friends with outside of work and are true professionals making this journey a pleasant one making one at ease. HOWEVER,**** When there is light, there is also darkness, and I am referring to ATI's Billing Department so any new patients' trend with caution. I had issues with their billing department where the associates do not return your calls or emails, there are no follow ups, and they have no common sense of flexibility. For the most part, they are pleasant on the phone but deliver no substance in their solutions or explanations and I had to go beyond them to get routine matters resolved on my own and bothering folks like Dion, something he does not deal with on a daily basis because it is not his job, but he cares and points me in the right direction. Would I go to ATI again in the future, yes, but I would make sure every step along the way is covered with insurance and billing issues. As I am in the final stages of my medical treatment, I have this cloud over my head, a dark cloud of "what if" with the billing department. My latest fight with the billing department will work itself out. I did everything I was supposed to do as a patient and also went the extra mile for my insurance company because I do not trust their billing department. If the billing department was not in this review, it would easily be a 5 star review.

PT…read moreand PTA are under constant stress, having to solely rely on their OSS because corporate wants the doctors to see 13 patients a day each for over and hour, which is not possible. Patients are constantly complaining because they want one-on-one attention from PT when it is not possible due to high volume patients comin into the cllinic. OSS are doing all the work in the clinic from washing/drying laundry, working with patients, scanning/explaining paperwork, cleaning the clinic, answering the phone and scheduling appointments. If you like a fast-paced environment with terrible pay and constant cleaning after others, this is the place for you!

She gave me incremental exercises that led to not just a full recovery, but strength, range of motion, and flexibility that I had not had before my injury. Sevaughn, her therapy assistant is also amazing with an encouraging very professional attitude dove tailed with attention to detail, fine tuning the subtleties of each assigned exercise to give maximum benefit. The physical improvement was coupled with a sense of caring and consistent compassion. I saw it with all their clients. It gave me a profound sense of comparison to the very impersonal and uncaring attitude of the PT site I had been released from. And, finally I want to express my sincere appreciation to the welcoming reception staff greeting each person by first name. They were immensely helpful and their phone calls were very kind and courteous. Once again, in comparison to my previous PT location, I could not remember anyone ever being called by first name upon the check in process. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

I appreciated there work as they helped me recover from it, BUT NOT FOR THE PRICE THEY MADE ME PAY. I was informed to pay a $50 copay MY FIRST VISIT! I then proceeded to attend 8 more sessions and was NEVER EVER EVER EVER ASKED FOR A CO-PAY any of those times. As a 19 year old guy that has never had to really deal with medical co-pays or payments I had no idea it would be $50 every time I came! After almost 2 years of NOTHING from them. I was sent to collection for a bill of $540! INSANE! ESPECIALLY IN A TIME WHERE A PANDEMIC HAS HIT AND I HAD BEEN UNEMPLOYED FOR OVER A YEAR! They said they talked to me and sent me statements. I never saw even one. I just paid my $540 in collections today because I am a good person. (JUST AN FYI, 50x8 is 400, not 540) so now I'm stuck paying even more. So congrats foothills you got what you wanted even though it was your fault. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE if you need PT Look at the update photos also... I'm not the only one
