A Golden Celebration to Remember! If I could give Rendezvous…read moremore than five stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. We recently celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Holiday Inn in Gaithersburg and I was naturally a bit anxious about making such a massive milestone feel special. From the moment we sat down with the Rendezvous team, specifically Mitzi and her daughter-in-law, Abby, all that stress just evaporated. They listened to every detail that I specified and gave me suggestions and other choices to choose from. Right from the start, Mitzi and Abby made me feel comfortable about my decision to hire them. The decorations were beautiful. They managed to strike that perfect balance between "Golden Anniversary" opulence and warm, inviting intimacy. The floral arrangements, all fresh flowers, were spectacularly elegant. The tables were set up as I specified, with gold table cloth, napkins and place settings. They transformed the Holiday Inn ballroom into something that felt both nostalgic and sophisticated. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how beautiful the room looked! Now, let's talk about the food. Prior to our event, Mitzi and Abby invited us to a food tasting event where there were about a dozen dishes that I could choose from. And they delivered! The appetizers were creative and flavorful, and the main courses and desserts were cooked to absolute perfection. As for the service, the Rendezvous servers were well trained, attentive and professional. In conclusion, Rendezvous treated our very special celebration with the respect and care it deserved. They didn't just "cater" a party; they hosted an experience. To the entire team: Thank you for making our golden year shine so brightly. If you are looking for a caterer who actually listens and delivers beyond your expectations, look no further than Rendezvous! ________________________________________

I would like to start off saying I would NEVER recommend or book with Rendezvous by Maria (Mitzie)…read moreReich LLC (also known as Reich World Events Services) business' again. This business has demonstrated a consistent lack of professionalism, honesty, and communication. The issues began when Maria double booked the venue we contracted through her. Instead of contacting me to discuss the error, she sent an email on a Friday evening confirming a different venue she had already booked without my approval. We approved a decoration mockup created by her assistant; however, the day-of execution did not match what was agreed upon. The tablecloths provided were wrinkled and visibly damaged, including holes and mold. Although Maria stated replacements were on the way, the issue was not properly resolved. Additionally, the table runners were the wrong color and there was not enough inventory, resulting in mismatched runners, which was not part of the agreement. Maria was not present for setup, leaving the work to her assistant and others, which contributed to poor coordination. After the event, I communicated my dissatisfaction with both the planning and execution. Maria stated she would provide compensation in writing, which never occurred. Our contract also included a $200 refundable deposit, which she acknowledged would be returned. It has now been nearly three months, with repeated follow-ups and no resolution or refund issued. While personal circumstances were cited as the reason for delays, failure to return a contractual deposit and follow through on written commitments is unacceptable. This business did not meet contractual obligations, and I would strongly advise against booking with this business!

My clients always comment on how easy it was working with Cara and how she came up with ideas they didn't even think of and put their vision into a reality (life-size cut-outs, backgrounds, candy carts, room decor, lighting, etc.). As a photographer, I am always amazed at the amount of detail and personal touch Cara adds to every event: no event is ever the same, be it a wedding or a Bar/ Bat Mitzvah, and I have seen quite a few though the years. Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared, and the entire experience was professional and seamless. I have never been much of a fish eater--I love shellfish, but what I jokingly call "swimmy fish" has never been my thing. Well, the cod they served completely changed my mind! It was absolutely delicious and one of my favorite things on the menu. Our officers and guests raved about the food throughout the evening. In fact, the officers enjoyed it so much that they were already asking if we could order our Thanksgiving meal from the same caterer! When you're organizing a large event, having a caterer you can rely on makes an enormous difference. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and they helped make our awards dinner a special evening. Highly recommend!

I found this place and they had a very reasonable price for a peacock chair, it was perfect. So I was able to get a friend with a SUV to come with me to this party rental place (they do not deliver items to your destination you are responsible for everything). At first no one was answering the phone at the rental but I kept calling because it was the day of the baby shower and I had no other choice. We get there and was talking to the owner Jeremy and the manager. Jeremy offered us Dunkin' Donuts while he was assisting another customer. We asked to see the chair because I was mainly afraid it wouldn't fit inside the SUV. So the manager told us it wouldn't fit and if it did he would give us a dollar each because he has done this before. So we knew we had to try since this was my last chance. He grabbed the chair and Jeremy, my friend and I watched as the chair fit like a glove right in the car. It was perfect! We were obviously happy! We also got our dollar each, lol which was actually funny! Jeremey processed our payment and of course yelp came through and offered 5% off for our first rental! It was great & worked out perfectly!! I first was introduced to Monica's services when I attended one of the William Oliver Baker Award Baker banquet at the Ronald Reagan building. I was impressed with the beauty of the decor and the organization of how the event flowed. The event had an a cocktail hour which included an open bar, a four course dinner, which included both a steak and lobster entree, and each attendant was gifted with a bottle of champagne. It was one of the best black tie affairs I had attended in years. Based on my experience, I requested to know who coordinated the event and that is how I was introduced to Monica. I had no black tie affairs that I needed to plan, but I was responsible for planning annual international conferences for my Life Coaching Firm "Circle of Trust". When I found out some of Monica's services included travel management it was like my prayers were answered. Since 2010, Monica has planned our conferences which have included two cruises (Western Caribbean and the Mediterranean), South Africa, Costa Rica and two domestic locations (Virginia Beach and New Orleans). Each conference has been an amazing experience that has been filled with team building activities (i.e., dance competition on one of the cruises), sessions that were well attended and went off without minimal issues. Monica kept me abreast through out the whole planning process which included detailed itineraries. When I arrived there was very little for me to do so much so I often felt like it was more of a vacation versus a conference. She is very proficient at dealing with local staff (for international locations) and understanding their customs to share with myself and my attendees. Here is an example of some of the activities Monica organized for each conference: 1. Western Caribbean Cruise: Swimming in a Volcano 2. Virginia Beach: A crab feast 3. Mediterranean Cruise: Activities were endless, but day tour to Tuscany, private tour in Rhodes Italy, dinner overlooking the Colosseum at now one of my favorite restaurants called Aroma and other excursions throughout Italy and Greece. 4. Costa Rica: Waterfalls adventure and white water rafting and she also arranged our accommodations in a villa ;-) 5. South African: A safari get away 6. New Orleans: Plantation and swamp tours These annual conferences have gone from non-existent and to me in a panic to being the event of the year. The participation has increased each year and is the thing to look forward to. UME and Monica are just superior in the services they provide. Each conference has sincerely been unforgettable.
