Superior Auto Repair

I've had two 6L80 transmissions rebuilt by Donnie at Superior Auto. One for my 2019 Suburban and…read moreone for my 2014 Sierra. He has great customer service and competitive price. He turned both vehicles around in a matter of days, on projects that take most shops a couple weeks. His rebuilds come with 36 months 36,000 mile warranty which I know he honors. My Sierra had a small transmission issue after its rebuild and Donnie had it in and completely rebuilt it again just to make sure it was right. Also, I had another engine issue with my Suburban about 6 months after the transmission rebuild and Donnie helped me diagnose it without any charge. Overall great experience and quality from a small shop. Would definitely recommend to anyone experiencing transmission issues!

I took the vehicle back because it was under warranty. After two weeks I called them and Donnie said that he had drove it and could not find anything wrong with it. I told him the vehicle was starting to slip on hills, he said he would check into it. Another two weeks went by and nothing. I had been driving by the business a few times a week to check on my vehicle, It never moved from the spot it was sitting in for weeks on end. So I called and said I'll just come get it. They had no plans on fixing it as far as I was concerned. I paid a lot of money close to 6k just to get screwed over. Go somewhere and save your money.

DJ's Auto Repair

In all sincerity, I had one of my absolute best customer service experiences at DJ's Auto Repair. I…read morereally can't recommend this shop highly enough. Here's what happened... I was coming through Little Rock, AR from Austin, TX on a road trip out to D.C. My car broke down about 15 miles east of Little Rock on an incredibly hot summer day. Not knowing anything about this shop, the tow truck dropped me and my car off at DJ's. When I got there around 1pm, stressed out from the breakdown, I immediately received attention and was told they could start working on my car the same afternoon. I told them what happened, that my engine had starting smoking while on the road, and then they told me to relax and that they would figure it out. Here's where it gets good: Don, the owner of the shop, LET ME BORROW HIS PERSONAL TRUCK SO I COULD GO GRAB LUNCH. Sorry for all caps, but really, that's correct and it still amazes me - after arriving and telling them about my situation, I asked if there were any lunch options within walking distance, and then Don handed me his keys and said "just use my truck to go wherever you want in the area while we work on your car". So, I did. After I got back from grabbing lunch in Don's truck - about two hours since first arriving at the shop - they had figured out the problem: a previous mechanic had done a poor job installing the car's water pump, which lead to the engine overheating. The repair would require several hours of labor and it was mid-afternoon, meaning that my car would need to stay overnight... so Don PERSONALLY DROVE ME TO A HOTEL in downtown Little Rock. Seriously... the guy took time out of his day to make sure I got to a hotel that was at least 10-15 miles away from the shop. It was his idea; I didn't ask for the ride, he just offered it to me, without any conditions. And the next day? He PERSONALLY PICKED ME UP FROM MY HOTEL, and DROVE ME BACK TO THE SHOP. Again, totally his idea. When we returned to the shop, they had fixed the problem, and then helped me communicate with the previous mechanic about the faulty part, which ultimately led to me being reimbursed by that previous mechanic. I was in my car that day, driving away, returning to my road trip. I have driven the car approximately 5,000 miles since then, all without issue. These guys helped get me out of a stressful situation, and everyone involved was competent, attentive, friendly, and helped make me feel cared for. And THAT is ultimately what good customer service is: making your clients feel at home doing business with you. These guys knocked it out of the park. I would absolutely do business with them again!

I ended up just getting a diagnostic with them and they ended up charging me less then estimated. all the employees talked to was very polite and patient. they sent way too many advertising and surveys to both my phone and email after was done with service with them. even after I left reviews and feedback, they kept sending more, feels like continuous spams

I called them over two weeks later and he said that he could not find anything wrong with my vehicle, he said he would do some more checking. I did not hear anything for two more weeks, so I called them and said I'm coming for the the vehicle since nothing was getting done. I drove by the business to check on my vehicle often, and saw where they had parked it. Every time I went by it was in the same place so I know no work was getting done. So the front door said closed, they left the keys in the front seat so I loaded up and took off. Got on the Interstate and the slipping was worse than before. I could not take it home so I parked it in my garage at my place of business. It is no longer drivable. They gave me a warranty, but its worthless if they do not honor it. I would say stay away from this place. I spent a lot of money there for a transfer case and transmission rebuild and now I got all this trouble all over again. This is my honest review.
