We had a transferase issue and I took the truck to another repair shop (Mistake), the other repair shop broke my transferase and was unable to repair it! We had the truck towed to Percision Transmission and they were very knowledgeable. Once they diagnosed the problem, it was fixed in a day! I have had No additional issues with the Transferase and we use 4x4 hi and 4x4 low every day! You may think the Percision Transmission Center is over priced. Transmission not up shifting on a 1993 Gm car, called precision explained problem they suggested a $95 diagnosis to evaluate, brought it in but at that time found out they do not do transmission oil changes on vehicles that old nor will they do electrical related to a transmission, so basically i spend $95 for a diagnosis to tell me something is wrong but they wont even do a transmission oil change on older vehicle. if a transmission is not shifting right that is obvious but tell me before hand that you don't/wont change trans fluid on vehicles that old or work on electrical transmission related How does one drop the transmission pan to evaluate without changing the trans fluid ? waste of time read more

My son was in town in town on the 23rd of December and had a problem with their transmission. Went by later in afternoon and asked if they could check it out for us and they said they were closing early but would squeeze it in. They called about an hour later with the bad news and gave use a couple different options and their opinion on wheather it would make it back to Savannah. Ended up trading the vehicle in on a new car but I would just like to thank them for all their help on such a short notice and holiday break. They treated us like family and that meant so much to us. If I could give them a million stars I would. Their customer service is unbelievable. I had my car worked on by another local shop which ripped me out of $2000 only for my car to brake down 4days later. I had my car towed to Precision Transmission as I had heard great things about them from a friend. They performed a Diagnostics on my car and found it was an engine rod. Having saw all the new parts I had just put on my car they said they felt awful for me and were not going to charge me for the oil or diagnostics. They even allowed me to keep my car parked there for 4 days until I was able to sort out what I was gonna do with my car. While waiting in the lobby I over heard Sara (I believe) explaining to another customer on the phone the work that needed to be done to there car. As she was explaining though she said "if we find that there is something more serious going on we stop work contact you again to see how you want us to proceed." For me that spoke volumes as their honesty and integrity as a shop. That they were not out for money. Had a noise in the rear axle/transmission in my c10. Seemed like no good mechanics will take on a noise in the driveline. I took my truck to many places with none willing to even attempt to help me with my problems. As a last resort I stopped at Precision Trans. Surprisingly. Keary (owner) came out of the shop and greeted me, after my description of my issues he said lets take it for a ride. Almost immediately he said that I was lucky, apparently the wrong liquid was installed in the rear axle... then he suggested a transmission check and pressure settings be done. Was initially happy. Then i came to realize how bad the rebuild was. Never shifted right. I never got the 2 week checkup because the tech was never there. Torque converter failed. It leaks. Finally got someone there to look at it. They drove it around the block told me 1200 for a torque converter if its a candidate! I can see the dollar signs . WOW. PRECISION ROCKS. What great people, and HONEST. I suspected a tranny problem...was given ball park estimates, with "this or that" diagnosis. (depending on actual problem) (between $1000.00 and "up"..to about $3,000.00) Much to my surprise and delight...it was NOT the tranny but an axle problem that cost me only $200.00. Hey, digest that for a second. I know of several repair shops in ORMOND Beach that would have taken advantage of that/me ...I know,...I have been a victim of these "bells and whistles....and song and dance outfits..." NEVER AGAIN. I will ONLY go to PRECISION for ALL my family's auto needs... I simply cant believe any other review that is negative....these folks are the real deal. I was very appalled at the treatment I got from the owner of this establishment. He was very unprofessional and rude. I came with a small servo adjustment request, literally no more than a 15 minute swap, no dropping of the tranny. I was told go do it yourself. Apparently this man doesn't have time for small jobs. There was a tech present, and he seemed a little more compassionate about my request, but was helpless to the owners attitude, and therefore could not help me. No room for the small jobs. Thumbs down, and I gave one star because there's no option to give no stars. read more
