He abruptly replies, "I'm booked out 3-4 weeks (Really? When the temperatures are in the 60's?) and I'm not interested in this arrangement." And, then proceeds to immediately rudely hang up on me. I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. Astera will be getting first crack at all of my appliance and HVAC service calls going forward.

As I was getting up to full speed + at least 10pmh over the speed limit on this stretch of road, I was passed by a van doing at least 70 in a 35-40, then the van slammed on the brakes so that I would have to as well and all of my belongings flew into the front seat; I admit, I wasn't on my best behavior either as I sped up when I noticed what he was obviously & illegally trying to do. This act was followed by continued bullying as we both drove west on 120, with the right lane being closed a short distance ahead due to road construction. The van (picture attached) then drove about 45, riding shotgun next to a construction vehicle, knowing that this vehicle would have to move to the right; he was hoping I would be cut off a second time. When I called the number on the van to report the driver, he laughed at me and called me a "F**king C**t" (when I came into full view of him as he merged onto 94E he was on older gentleman with gray hair & a moustache so I can only assume he was Tom Sr.). I would NOT want this person in my home--NOT ever. He doesn't respect or have regard for others, esp. women or Veterans (I am both--my car is clearly marked with both). We use Advantage Heating & Cooling for all our service needs, and they have always been extremely professional.
