I don't like cars either, and am willfully ignorant when it comes to maintenance. But I had strong opinions- I wanted to get rid of the dangerous, stupid, ineffective low profile tires AND wheels that my car came with. I looked up Consumer Reports for tires, chose the best in snow, and made calls. So many jamokes who answered the phone wanted to sell me something THEY thought was better, or they did not have what I wanted. Not Jeff at Precision Tire. He agreed w/ my idea, talked very knowledgelably about what would the change would involve, and quoted an accurate, reasonable price. They seem to know quite a bit about tires, wheels, and undercarriages at this place. He really knows all the complexities of this kind of mechanics; the problems involved in changing to a different size wheel etc.. He was pleasant, responsive, and helpful- he asked me questions to get an idea of exactly what I wanted- then gave some suggestions. Then went along with what I wanted. They were extremely quick and hassle free about the wheel change- and they are on the #77 Bus to Harvard Sq! They had a great selection of tires, and did not try to sell me what was more profitable. Especially because of their nonpatronizing pleasantness and knowledge I would reccomend them to my friends. read more
