Jeff is a thorough mechanic, honest and reasonably priced. Always diagnosed right and if there is a problem he will resolve it. I have been coming here for 10+ yrs read more

Local place that I was so happy to find after done bad experiences with Mals. Great service with good pricing. I've been sending neighbors his way. He's replaced tires, mounted new tires on rims, and done alignment for my wife and I. We will be going back! read more

Jeff and Dave were very helpful. My tire kept losing air pressure. Dave found and showed me that there was a screw that was punctured in my tire. All is well now. Highly recommend. And good to know there's a reliable local place to take my car for repairs. read more

Excellent service. Good price. Definitely recommend. Very knowledgeable. I would certainly go back. Told me I needed two - not 4 new tires.

Low cost, honest work at fair prices. There's not many of these places left. Plain and simple. They do honest, good work and don't charge a fortune. The shop is small and disorganized, but you don't go here because they're good at organizing papers, you go because they're honest and do good work. I've come here for a few jobs: a TPMS sensor, an alignment (after I screwed up the camber replacing a CV boot) and a brake job. Each time the problem was diagnosed correctly and the repair was correct. Strongly recommended. read more

I randomly called Precision Tire to see if they would be able to help me with getting new tires for a Jeep Wrangler that I bought as a XMAS gift for my sister. The gentlemen on the phone (Jeff) was great -- explaining what they could do -- but moreso letting me know that if we wanted to add large tires, we would need extended shocks, a lift, etc. -- and he recommended me to a group in Woburn that specializes in Jeeps. He could have very easily said "we don't do that", but took the time to explain everything, give me ballpark costs, and refer me out to a specialist. While I don't have a need for tires at this point -- will definitely use them in the future, and felt a 5-star review was deserving based purely on his knowledge and great customer service! read more

Precision Tire was the fourth stop in my quest to replace the hard-to-find tires on my not-very-old BMW. Jeff accepted the challenge and delivered. He was able to find a very nice all-season tire from a reputable manufacturer. He kept me informed during his research. Everything played out, including reasonable price, exactly as he predicted. No surprises. I highly recommend Jeff and Precision Tire and Alignment. read more

After $3100 Repairs to my Grand Marquis from a highly reputable Ford place, I had a slow leak in the new Michelin tire. Local gas station guy said valve stem. Son called Ford complaining his Mom, 88, could be stranded on road for sake of a new $3 valve stem. I Went back to Ford a week ago and Joe added air and lectured me on Nails. I knew Jeff at Precision tire would tell me the truth after 30+ years of service to my family. I left there with new valve and Peace of Mind for $25. I hated letting Ford replace the tire but had to work with Insurance to fund repairs and waive collision for my no-fault. read more

Update to my situation. Just brought my car to the dealer for my emergency brake repair due to Jeff's negligence. They informed me that the right emergency brake was completely removed and looks like it was "banged" out accidentally while someone was removing my rotors. Hmm.. Wonder who that could be. They also informed me that the pads weren't properly aligned and they fixed them for me. I thought this would be an easy, cheap fix, but now that I'm out over $500 due to a negligent mechanic who was in a rush, looks like I'll be taking further action against Jeff and Precision Tire and Alignment. read more

Precision Tire and Alignment - Tires Near Me - Arlington, Massachusetts

Jeff is honest and dependable. I've been going to precision tire and alignment since 2008 and with several cars during that time.

Fair and Trustworthy! Supporting Local Business is Important!

This is where I go for any and all tire- and brake-related issues. I've had rotors replaced, a ball joint replaced, and new tires put on (these issues spread over two or three separate occasions over the past two years). These issues were totally foreign to me because I'm a west-coaster unaccustomed to the icy roads, pothole-ridden post-winter highways, and the "Salt Belt" status status of Massachusetts (killed my trailing arms). I rushed to get my car fixed at every hurdle and I feel that I got a very fair price, explanation, and turn-around time on each occasion. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, full of experience, and reliable! Hooray! read more

Growing up, in the days before the AutoMile, Arlington was always the go to place for anything to do with cars. It was truly a car town. First local Hudson dealership was on Mill Street right across from an Oldsmobile dealership. There were more car garages on mass Avenue in Arlington than any other local town. It was a true car town and had some of the best mechanics in car and motorcycle service people anywhere in the state. There was a certain ethic about honesty and workmanship in the community which is why people from all over came to Arlington to have their cars worked on. A lot of that has gone in the last 10 years or so. However there are still a few last vestiges left. Without a question Jeff O'Neil and Precision Tire and alignment Is a throwback to that level of quality. It's one place you can go and know that you have an absolute professional looking at your car and able to deal with any issue that could arise He sees the things that most of his competitors would miss. He's able to diagnose potential problems before they arise. You can look at your tires and interpret mechanical issues through wear patterns. Through things that we constantly overlook like tire alignment And rotation that are relatively inexpensive maintenance is which keep your car healthy and you safe. And his rates are more than fair. Every time I leave I feel like I got a bargain. I've used every alignment service in this town and the adjacent towns, and Jeff is the best hands down. read more

I have been going to Jeff since I moved to Arlington 5 years ago. Someone referred me to Jeff when I mentioned I needed a good, trustworthy, and reliable mechanic for my car. Jeff has helped me with everything my car has needed including tires, brakes, ball joints, you name it. I've always gotten a fair price and Jeff has been very open and honest about the work done and the associated costs. Jeff does good honest work and stands out amongst many other mechanics I went to before finding him. I highly recommend him. read more

Friendly and professional, highly recommend! Small garage with no gimmicks and tricks unlike many other shops in the area trying to get the most out of your pocket. They did a thorough pre-inspection of my problem (for free!) and next day they fixed it with a smart (and affordable) solution. read more

Came here upon the recommendation of my chiropractor and I'm damned happy I did. Needed to replace a tire on the fly and Jeff was really great about the whole thing. Was able to match and replace the tire within 2 hours and answered every dumb question I had with a smile and a sense of humor. Best thing is that he did the job without any flim-flam or bullshit about needing any "additional repairs." I know that I'll be going here for extremely reliable service instead of the place in Medford I usually go to where I have to wonder if they aren't trying to sham me a little bit for the extra bucks. read more

Called Jeff on a last minute request. Recently had front end body work done on my vehicle at the dealership, and I requested that the dealership perform an alignment and balance. Turns out the balance got significantly worse than before, plus the dealership claimed that one of my wheels was distorted and couldn't not be balanced properly. I was in a hurry and needed to get the wheel replaced or fixed within 1-2 days, in preparation for a road trip. I called Jeff at Precision (among some other well rated tire shops) to see if they could get me a wheel replacement to match my other 3. Jeff asked me to bring my car in so he could inspect the wheel, see if it was repairable. Best part was he worked with my schedule, and accommodated me to come in right away because I was available at his other appointment slots. This was the most appreciated part of my experience. Turns out the wheels were simply off balance, by quite a bit. He rebalanced them, and they are riding great. Cost was ~$16/wheel after tax, extremely reasonable, if not cheap. Ronnie and Jeff showed great worksmanship: Checked for wheel looseness, checked air pressure on all tires, used a torque limiter on the impact wrench specified for my vehicle, screwed on lugnuts by hand before tightening with impact wrench, used star pattern tightening to ensure even wheel attachment. Other reasonably competent shops would probably have been able to balance the wheels just, but Jeff and Ronnie's personality/attitude/willingness to explain everything sealed the deal. The shop isn't anything glamorous or pretty, but everybody will agree that they would much rather have a shop really understands and knows what they're doing than a have superficially pretty looking garage. Dealerships do too many different things, and they aren't very experienced in most of it. read more

My mom is in town and she always helps me get things taken care of that I put off way too long! She called around a few places in the Arlington area and was astonished at how friendly they are at Precision, and not only that, the total cost ended up being less than what was quoted over the phone for two new Goodyear tires. The price was right, too! Now we're ready to hit the road for a trip to VT :) read more

Great place, very nice people who work there. I had new wheels and tires installed at a different place and they did a horrible job with balancing the tires, as I was getting vibrations at almost every speed on every type of road. Now my car rides smooth as ever after a rebalancing of the wheels. Definitely will be my new go-to place for tire related service! read more

I went to Precision based upon the YELP advice, and my first experience with using a YELP only eval for a business to do stuff like alignment on my car. I can very happy with the work. Ended up being @ 170 bucks or so for alignement, balance and rotation. They cleaned my brakes and charged me for that - but they were up front about what needed to be done, so I am cool with that - I'll be going back soon to have them do the brake job I now know I need. Spend your money locally and support locally owned businesses. read more

Called on Wednesday and had 4 snow tries mounted on rims and swapped on my car on the same day. Jeff was great, very accommodating and reasonable. Looking forward to the snow now! read more

Called Jeff to repair a bent rim and possible punctured tire. He was able to fit me in the same day and provide me with a loaner. The Precision Tire Office has nowhere near the same polish as a dealership facility or major tire chain, but they've got nice and honest folks which is what matters. Jeff diagnosed that I only needed the rim straightened and tire rebalancing done. He even checked up via txt to see if I was happy with the repair! I recommend them highly! read more

This place is terrific! I rolled over a bolt and had to get the tire fixed ASAP...and my spare was already screwed up. Jeff quoted me an exact price instead of guessing, told me it would be ready by 2pm, and gave me a loaner so I could finish my errands. I got there a bit after 2pm only to find Jeff was already on the phone calling me to let me know the car was done! These guys are not only professionals, but very courteous and kind as well. I don't want to go anywhere else, and neither should you! read more

Great and professional service. Always honest diagnostic and great suggestions for solutions. I don't find it difficult to schedule work with them and they honor their times of appointment as well as their estimated time for getting the work done. read more

I experienced quality work and great service. I had to come back with a minor, minor issue (dashboard light came on after a couple of days) and it was addressed right away with zero hassle, no further trouble. I am very happy with the outcome. read more

My occasions for needing services from Jeff and his team were just fixing flats (three of them) in the 18 months since I moved to Arlington. Today I needed four new tires for my van. I checked online pricing for other sources to get a sense of what my costs would be and then I talked to Jeff. His knowledge of tires is huge and he did a great job of asking how I use the van and what my expectations for new tires on it are. He then gave me his recommendation and his price was very competitive. After confirming that the chosen tires were immediately available we agreed on a drop-off time later in the day. He had it ready exactly in the time he estimated and also told me that they checked the stored temporary spare tire and found it completely flat due to never having been used since it was new in 2002. After inflating it and checking for leaks and finding none, I was on my way. A very happy customer. Jeff's superb knowledge and his team's great customer service are reasons I like doing business with local shops like this. read more

Had a ball joint replaced on my 2003 Nissan Maxima. Price quoted was excellent considering they were using a Moog ball joint with a built in grease fitting. Work was done quickly in a few hours. Jim explained everything well and even allayed my concerns about not overtorquing the bolts on my wheels, which I've had many issues in the past with other repair shops. Extremely happy with the whole operation, would highly recommend it to anyone in the Arlington area who needs tire or suspension work. read more

Place is legit. I choose this place based on another review from someone who, like me, does their own work on their car and needed a good alignment shop. I went to this place after I fixed the damage from a very hard curb impact and needed a good alignment. They took the time to listen to what I did, what I needed, and after the alignment was done took the time to explain the alignment results in detail to me. read more

These guys do amazing work. Jeff was very knowledgeable and personable. I had my BMW's tires balanced at several tire shops for highway vibrations which did not fix the problem. These guys seem to have a lot of experience working on tire and suspension, unlike the young kid that balance my tire at the tire chain store. My car is much smoother on the highway now after my visit here and the price was actually cheaper than the chain tire store. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for tire and suspension work for a fair price. read more

Yesterday was day 9,000 (or so it seemed) of the snowpocalypse here in the Boston area and Jeff recommended and, within 24 hours installed really great tires on my 2008 Prius. Great service. Every time my wife and I have taken our cars there, they have been quick and courteous. When they could not diagnose the problem initially, they didn't charge us. We then brought the car back shortly, they diagnosed and fixed the problem and sent us on our way. read more

Can't say enough about Jeff and Ron. Courteous, professional, generous -- yes, generous...Jeff did bonus work to my car because he noticed some things that made him uneasy, and he didn't charge me. Too long to go into the story of panic that got me there, but they turned it all around for me, and my car has never run smoother. I'd shout their names from the rooftops if I could. I've been going to Precision since I moved to this area, in '99. Excellent service, very inexpensive, Jeff is scrupulously honest, and if anything, he should charge more than he does. First time in my life that I've had to buy 4 new tires for any vehicle. I was told by the Subaru dealership and my non-dealer trusted mechanic that my tires AND brakes were shot and a nasty accident was imminent. I chose to address the tires first and Lou sent me to Precision; he said, "I send ALL my clients there when they need tires." I did some research so I wouldn't sound like a complete greenhorn when I showed up at Precision and explained my situation to Jeff. He was able to explain in non-mechanic language what the internet left out. Our wires got a little crossed about how much I was willing to pay, but Jeff was so gracious about it when I let him know my budget and he gave me a fantastic deal. He also let me know that I had way more time left on my brakes than I had been led to believe! And he provided an estimate for the brakes on my receipt. No question, he won my loyalty. I will be back. read more

This place has restored my faith that not all auto shops are out to get unassuming customers. The people are really nice. They go the extra mile to help you find what you need (e.g. the owner called various distributors for a week looking for a replacement tire for me that had been discontinued.). The prices are very reasonable - $25 all in to change each snow tire which are off rims. It's not crazy busy like some of the big places - like Direct Tire. The service is fast. The people are honest, helpful and friendly. I almost didn't want to write a review because I'd rather keep this place a secret. But, given how helpful they were to me, I feel I owe it to them. This is now my go-to place for anything tire related. read more

These guys are the best! I can't believe I only just discovered them! Needed to replace my 2 front tires, then one went flat, so made calls to get prices. Jeff had the best quote, but I still had a flat, so he sent someone to my house to change the flat for me, so I could drive the car to Precision, for a fraction of what a tow would have cost! He charged me exactly what he had quoted and never tried to get me to do additional work (as so often is done elsewhere). It was truly a pleasure doing business with this company and can't recommend it more highly! Wish I knew about them sooner! read more
