I heard about Precision through my boss. Based off of her recommendation I thought I'd try it for myself. There's a lot of great hair salons in the area but this one really stood out for me. The employees make you feel like you're right at home. For once, I left a salon satisfied with my hair color and my cut. Duc, who cut and highlighted my hair, was lively, attentive, and a great conversationist. He's been in the business for over two decades, and really knew what he was doing. I'm so excited to have found this wonderful place. My reg. hair dresser of 14 years was in Vacaville so I was on the quest to find someone comparable. I did at Precision B Salon. Very welcoming when you walk in the door. It started with an affordable haircut and I have moved onto color/highlights. Duc is the master. He listens carefully to what you want. Took my mom here for a haircut. The lady who did her haircut ask personal and uncomfortable questions. I can't recall her name. She is Vietnamese. My mom's haircut is uneven. She was not happy. I ask if she can blow dry her hair so we can see how it looks like. she said they don't do that. She eventually did it at the end. She also said she my mom's hair is wavy that why she can't do a certain cut. My mom's hair is far from wavy her hair is super straight. Will definitely not be coming back here. read more

Duc has been great to work with since I moved to San Rafael! High quality hair cut at a very reasonable price. It's easy to walk in and I'm often in the barber's chair within 20 minutes and greeted with a smile. I am so upset by the haircut that I received here on Monday- it is absolutely dreadful. I need a new stylist in my area and decided to give these guys a try b/c of all of the great Yelp reviews. But the woman that cut my hair on Monday absolutely butchered it! I should have known when I called to make an appointment- they only take walk ins, that it was a bad fit! The woman that cut my hair was obviously trying to finish my cut as fast as possible so that she could move on to the next patron before she went to lunch. She was also more interested in chatting up all of the male patrons coming in than paying attention to the cut that she was giving. I had long, beautiful hair before and now I can barely put it up! And it looks terrible down- so now I have to wear it up with pins for the next four months. I requested a razor cut b/c of my hair texture it is the best way to give my hair body. She absolutely butchered it- taking over four inches off, which is not what I asked for! And it's just that it's too short- it is a terrible cut and it will not grow out well! I will have to wait four months for a bit of length and then go back to my old stylist (which is out of my area), to fix it. read more
