DONT COME HERE!! This business operates on bait and switch tactics. Plus horrible customer service…read more Will be reporting to BBB. My boyfriend called them to get a quote and bring in 2 axle shafts to be cut and and bearings moved 1/4 inch. THEY DAMAGED THE BEARINGS AND DID NOT EVEN REPLACE THEM. They told him it would be done same day. It was not. When he called in the evening to ask if they were ready they told him maybe tomorrow. But was literally told "oh well what are you gonna do about it now" rude and unprofessional. Originally was quoted $100 a shaft (brought in 2) When my boyfriend picked it up he proceeded to charge him $150 per piece!!! My boyfriend told him that's not what he quoted and this man just said he didn't know he was supposed to cut, hello? You were told that yesterday when you gave the quote. Total switch up. Unprofessional. We're told same day it would be done and now the up charge!! Plus the nasty attitude. And on top of that, damaged the bearings and did not take accountability for it!!!

I haven't needed any machine work in close to 40 years, so I had to search to find a machine shop…read more My buddy found this place and called for a price, which seemed pretty fair. We tried calling a few others. but none of them answered. THE GOOD: This is an old school machine shop that works on more than cylinder heads. Two brothers own the shop and one of the owners son, Johnny, is awesome, very communicative and a really nice guy! The prices they charge "seem" to be very reasonable (I have nothing to base this on). THE BAD: This is an old school machine shop that works on more than cylinder heads. 1. They are VERY old school, to the point that their system for tracking "what parts belong to who" consists of your name & number scribbled on the back of a business card that is stuck into an opening in whatever part you dropped off, nothing else. 2. Out of the 6 guys that work there, only one, Johnny, speaks English. 3. The phone rarely gets answered. 4. It looks more like a scrap yard than a machine shop: (literally) tons of cylinder heads, engine blocks, crankshafts and camshafts, etc everywhere! THE REALLY BAD (in my case): They called me about 11 am to say my heads were ready to be picked up. As I was busy, I didn't get there until around 4 pm. I walked in, speak to Johnny and let him know I was here to pick up my small block Ford heads. He looks... and looks... talks to another guy there... and looks, then makes a phone call. He then tells me, "a guy was here about 10 minutes ago looking for some small block Ford heads and they gave him your heads and he will be back in about 10 minutes". WTF?!? It was more like 20 mins, but FORTUNATELY this guy pulls up with my heads in the back of his truck. Johnny did apologize a few times about the confusion. I comment on how disorganized they are and he apologizes again. I pay my $240 (no courtesy discount), I thank Johnny and leave. THE VERDICT: Obviously their error was corrected after the guy who had my parts returned them. I'm hoping my experience is a very rare occurrence and no one else has to go through this. Otherwise my cylinder heads were machined as I asked.

An added touch was when the work was done he showed me a bunch of the parts he changed and explained why he did so. I'm no mechanic, but I still appreciated him taking the time to do so. I've gone back to him twice since, including today, and every time he's been exceptional. I initially got recommended to him from my long time mechanics who couldn't do the required heavy duty engine work. Looking for a great, highly skilled mechanic? Wilson is your man!

Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart from the competition. My relationship began with Wilson (owner) when I dropped off a Toyota Cressida 3.0L6 DOHC 16V Engine for a complete engine rebuild. He completed the engine in short order. So I picked it up and reinstalled it into my customer's car. After making routine adjustments and road testing, the engine ran perfectly. However, I did detect a very faint metallic sound emitting from the engine. Thinking it might be a lifter that might possibly quieten down after the engine was broken in. I shared my thoughts with my customer and suggested that they drive the car 500 mile, then return it to me. At that point, I would change the oil and reassess the health of the engine. 529 miles later, my customer returned the car to me, and the noise was still there. In fact, it had gotten worse. I alerted Wilson and he instructed me to bring the car back to him so he could check it out. I left the car at his shop, but he could not readily detect the source of the noise. So, he ultimately removed the engine from the car, totally dismantled it, inspecting and measuring all the internal components. Still, he found nothing out of specs. Obviously puzzled, and determined, he decided to start all over again, from scratch. The Toyota 3.0L DOHC 16V Engine is obsolete and hard to find. But after an extensive search for another "Rebuildable" Engine Block and Head, Wilson eventually found the cores that he needed to complete the project. He finally finished second the engine rebuild and reinstalled it a few weeks ago. When I went to pick the car up, he handed me an invoice with "UNDER WARRANTY" written across the page. He did not charge one additional dime for the nightmare in which he endured with this vehicle. Wilson is a class act! Not only is he honest, but he also has integrity - old school integrity! S. Sanders Positive Image Automotive P.S. My customer just reached the 300-mile mark and is happy as a Lark! Thanks Wilson! You are a true gentleman.
