AB Plumbing was very responsive, They provided clear information about what needed to be done and performed the plumbing work efficiently and suggested that we contact an appliance company for further work on the dishwasher. BEWARE! I wish I had. Super unprofessional. First time no problem they gave us a price, did the work, we paid and then they kept saying we didn't pay. I showed them proof, they asked again, it was really frustrating. I used them again THIS WAS MY BIG MISTAKE! They quoted me three hundred something to snake a drain. They charged double, said it was an emergency on a weekend, it was neither, then said it was for two calls, then said oh well that's how much it normally is. All over the place. No acknowledgement that they doubled their price for NO REASON. They are flaky and what's worse after snaking the drain they actually effed up our sink and now there's a leak and it doesn't work so I have to call ANOTHER plumber. Our home is below grade, and thus has a plump to pump everything up to the sewer line. It stopped working, which means everything was backing up into the bathtub, which means it's time to panic! (gross! lol). The guys at AB Plumbing came out, and were like "we've never seen this kind of pump before, but we'll poke at it and see what happens". They took the pump apart, piece by piece, and i even heard them call the pump manufacturer and go over details of the pump, and then, not an hour and a half later, they got it working perfectly again. They were super friendly and communicative the whole time, too. Such nice guys! i can't recommend these folks highly enough. The second time I called him was to find a leak in my gas lines. This time the experience was not so good. He made a mistake which led to numerous problems after he left. Cute marketing gimmick. However, their estimate was $625 which seemed very high to me. I told them I'd get back to them. After a trip to the yellow pages I reconnected with Golden Gate Plumbing/Rescue Rooter who'd done the job before and they did it for $185. Maybe there is something special about the work from AB but I'd advise you to get other quotes before hiring them. They came out, said a pipe needed to be replaced and it could cost as much as $1500 if they had to go through a wall, especially because it would be a 3-man job, lasting 1 1/2 days. Two guys came out - although 2 hours later, only one was still here - and the job was done in 3 hours...but they still charged $1500. THAT's $500/HOUR for their wonderful service!! (Materials were only $400, marked up.) They claim the exorbitant service fee was for "Researching for and picking up the materials needed." WTF??!!!
