I had this company come out for a tuneup after seeing a neighbor having some work done. They have coupons all the time, but don't mention the minimum fee, but in my case I ended up spending a whole lot to get a new opener that's super quiet. The old one was fine, just something I wanted and the tech had one in the truck. Offered me a military discount which was really helpful. The technician was awesome and explained things and gave me some options. I think the company is a national chain and I'd prefer to use local, but for my one time, I got great service. read more

Called Precision because my garage door was squeaking loudly. Service tech said the gears were bad in my opener motor and it needed to be replaced. But, he said he couldn't replace only the motor though, unless I bought a new garage door too, as Precision wouldn't guarantee the motor with my current wood door on our 1922 home. But, they couldn't put in a new door unless they installed all new tracks and springs. Estimate? $4,200.00. For a second opinion I called a handyman I often use. He said he greased the hinges and tracks and "it works fine now, no more squeaking." I said, "what about the motor?"He sounded perplexed and said " the motor is fine." He charged me $60.00. I was forced to add a star to be able to post this review however I wouldn't give Precision even 1 star. read more

Two men came out for free (no minimum charge) in 2019 to fix my garage door which was not operating smoothly. Together they presented me with an estimate of over a thousand dollars. When I said I could not pay that, they gave me an excuse for doing it for less, $700. I should have known better! They warned me to oil the rollers yearly. Which I did. Recently the motor started smoking. I had to schedule a replacement for the unit. The total price including installation came to less than the "repair" I received in 2019. Buyer beware. read more

My garage door seals on the bottom were very old and needed to be replaced. Also, the plastic rollers on one of the doors needed replaced. Joe from Precision came out and looked at them. Since I had a previous problem with rodents. Joe said they make a seal that has steel wool in it. It was a little bit spendy but well worth it. He gave me a 2hr window of arrival (8:00 - 10:00) but showed up at 8:00. He estimated it would take about 2 hours to complete but it was done in 1 hour. The whole process was fast and efficient. Gave me an estimate and I gave him the go-ahead. 9:45 am This morning: Work completed (fixed the connection to the chain, replaced all the old rollers with new higher quality rollers, adjusted the tracks, installed a surge protector, lubricated all the hinges). This was an easy experience with a helpful technician (Travis) who didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't want or need. Pricing was extremely reasonable. I have a broken spring on my garage door, I called the company and the next day the Tech came to take a look and give me the estimate about $700, I was really surprise. Finally I made the decision will call some other companies around and paid the $49 fees for their service. In the past i got them fixed about half price oh their quotes. I paid them the fee, and told told him to send me the invoice and the estimates, which are several options... I checked my email and got the invoice but he did not send the good faith estimate those he promised to send me by email. I just don't believe this company still around? I called some other companies gave me the estimate around $400 to $500 I just waiting for their estimates on my email....hope he will send me one.. One of the 2x4 supports that the garage door tract had split and needed to be replaced asap. At the same time I was having siding replaced. Precision came out the next morning, disassembled the garage door and tract, allowing the siding company to replace the 2x4 and build a more stable support for the tract. Precision came back that afternoon to reassemble the garage door. It cost a bit of money but I'm happy knowing I won't have to worry about it for a long time. Good job. read more
