Salesman: Good guy, answered all my questions, worked hard for my business, continued to answer my questions, post install. Installation team: Very kind, respectable, friendly, efficient, and everything went smoothly. Financing: This is where I'm frustrated. Was we were finalizing details of the new system we got to payment and financing. I intended to pay half cash and finance the rest. I searched and learned that Trane (the brand I chose) had a promotion for 60 months 0% interest. This is a great deal. I asked about that deal and the Salesman, Shayne, talked to his boss. He came back and said they weren't partnered with Trane in that certain way so they couldn't offer that deal. Understandable. I accepted that. I was offered and accepted 15yrs @ 9.99%. I intend to pay this off much quicker. Almost 2 weeks later, I get a flyer in the mail from Arce(RC) offering those same exact terms, but through a different bank/partner. I felt cheated. I estimate I could've saved between $800 - $2500 on the life of this loan. That's REAL money. Shane went to his boss and his boss knew full well this promotion was going to drop soon, but couldn't offer me these same terms. I have OUTSTANDING credit. Do promos come and go? Yeah. But I don't buy that I couldn't have been offered this deal because of a date technicality. Again, objectively everything else in this process was great. But this made me feel more like a number and less like a valued customer. I would still recommend them for their workmanship, but be very cautious. Push for the strongest deal possible. Don't let them convince you they can't make a deal. They're lying.

Matt came out within the window originally provided, he was extremely professional, very patient with my questions, offered a variety of proactive suggestions for my HVAC. He inspected the unit outside, took pictures to show me what he observed (I had a Duke surge protector) and cleaned the coils. Did a thorough inspection of the unit inside. I was impressed enough that I signed up for the annual maintenance plan! It includes summer and winter maintenance and 10% discounts on labor/parts if needed. In my opinion, the annual maintenance was well within my expectations. I am a brand new owner of the condo and it meant a lot that he took the time to walk me through everything. I would highly recommend this company and definitely Matt hands-down! You can tell they're invested in building and maintaining relationships and that means a lot these days. Oh! And I am really interested in the UV system that seems to be a better option for my type of HVAC set up. If I can swing it, I will definitely be contacting them for the install. Again, Matt really knows his business and the best solution for my set up.

I would recommend Adams HVAC again and again. I have had business with them since approximately 1992. I wouldn't wish homeowners having their AC units go down, but if they need to be replaced, call Adams.

This company is a complete fraud. They upsell options such as Zoning which was sold to us by "…read moreMarco Ferreira" for $1300 and it never worked. So this Zoning option upsold by the so called Comfort specialist Marco was a complete money grab and it was like throwing down money down the drain and into the coffers of John Adams. The extra work and the delay in installation was because of change in furnace a decision made by Adams based on non availability of the agreed upon unit at the time of install and the lack of accurate measurements by their comfort specialist - Marco-- all of which was their fault. They could have pre ordered the agreed upon unit or measured the attic space correctly. Somehow Adams takes pride in extra work they did which was a direct result of their own incompetence and lack of due diligence before the installation. I was never happy with the delay and was livid during installation and had expressed my frustration to Marco and installation team and even spoke with the service manager and expressed my displeasure the day of the installation as we had to sleep in the home without a functioning AC . So Adams and their installation team could not fit the unit in the attic space since they didn't know how much space was required for the unit and who was responsible for measuring the Attic space prior to install - one MARCO FERREIRA !! This is like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand was doing.. If Marco had measured the Attic space correctly than the delay would have not happened and also there was no need to reconfigure the attic space and extra work Adams seems to take a misplaced sense of pride.. So you don't do the due diligence and prep work and that causes the delay and result in doing the extra work and customer not having a functioning AC overnight and somehow the business takes pride in this botched installation.. Bravo !! So Marco or team who is responding to the review conveniently leaves out the detail about not measuring correctly the attic space and prep work that could have prevented the extra work and delay all of which was their own fault and doing... They also overcharge way more than average price for their service contracts and find certain parts such as Air Switches etc that needs to be replaced and overcharge for the installation. I will not recommend this business to anyone in Charlotte as there are plenty of honest HVAC providers out there.
