had an issue with the abs light and they worked on it. They did a great job trying to fix the problem. seemed like the price was right. Jeff was very good. read more

Done exactly as expected. Highly recommended. Why go anywhere else? Works well with Tire Rack.

Jeff and his team did a great job in finding out and repairing my ABS light. Seem's the price is much better than taking it to the dealer and the followup was excellent read more

Had tires shipped there this week from Tire Rack, was called within a few minutes of the tires arriving--so far, so good. Frankly speechless that the conversation from there degraded into a lecture that at present, only "one guy" is working there, and that for the "last 18 months" they have only taken 8:30 am appointments for drop offs (and yes, as a quite regular customer, I am painfully aware of that fact, as I have twice left one of my cars for an entire day for 30-45 minutes worth of work during that time...) Joe getting on the phone querying why I was giving his "staff" a hard time followed by patronizing comments sure did not help matters. Net, net: while Tire Rack still considers Precision a "top rated" installer--after today's interaction, I can only conclude that Precision: 1) does not really need Tire Rack's business 2) gives little consideration to regular customers in spite of circumstances 3) could not be bothered to accommodate a nearly 20 year customer for a simple 2-3 hour window at any point during the next three business days but instead openly asked me "to do what I need to do," engaging (with pleasure, it appeared) in business prevention. I can only surmise that after nearly forty years in business, Joe no longer cares.... As an aside, staff was happy to assist in loading tires into my car when I arrived...considering TWO people were willing to all of a sudden help (and a third one was having coffee outside...so much for only having "one guy"...), surely someone could have figured out how to install two tires while I waited (locally, patiently for up to two hours per my suggestion at ANY time that suited them). read more

Just moved to Ridgefield this year and we have 2 cars both Volvo's 2013 & 2016 and both are now off the free maintenance. After getting a reference from a neighbor we dropped both cars off in the same week for Volvo scheduled maintenance. Well it was half the price of Volvo, the appointment started on time which allowed the wife to cross the street and relax with a coffee & pastry at The Tusk & cup. Within minutes of their estimated time they called and she picked up the car :) Super Easy. Also just bought 4 new tires from TireRack.com and they are listed as a premium installer so had the tires shipped to them directly. They got them , called us and same thing a cup of coffee & pastry and voila 4 new tires mounted & balanced in about an hour Love this place read more

Excellent service at a reasonable price. These guys are honest and trustworthy. I bring my wife's Acura here and when they did the brakes, they perform better than new! Same with the BMW. Also excellent for tires via Tire Rack. Highly recommended!!! read more

Surely Precision Brakeworks doesn't look like much on the outside: typical grease-stained exterior, unassuming signage, a few junky cars parked out front... But make no mistake, these guys are top notch, full-service expert mechanics. I entrusted my 2006 Subaru Impreza to Precision once it started "getting old," and was no longer covered by any sort of dealer warranty. They performed my 100,000 mile service, which was truly complete - Coolant exchange, belts and hoses, tune up, timing belt, rollers and tensioners, water pump, the lot. Now, at 165,000 glorious miles, my clutch and headgaskets [understandably] require replacement. It will be an [understandably] pricey job, but I wouldn't take it anywhere else than here. I'm sure they'll give me everything I need, and nothing I don't. Call it "Precision Everythingworks." read more

Joe & the guys are the best. He helped us out and was great with advice. Very trustworthy.

Used them in conjunction with Tire Rack. Excellent service with a smile. Rare to find people that care this much about their customers. As others have said, it doesn't look like much on the outside, but there is a lot on the inside! read more

The service at Precision Brakeworks has been excellent! My family has purchased tires from Tire Rack for 2 cars and had other work done on 1 of our cars. Each time we have been totally satisfied with the work performed in a professional and friendly manner and at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend. read more

I've been a customer for several years. Stopped by this morning with a flat tire in the trunk. Hit a pothole on I-684 last night. You can only talk to the shop via phone. Explained that I just wanted someone to put air in the tire to see where the damage was. I was confident it was a non-repairable flat but Tire Rack requires detailed pictures. I was told by the shop that they didn't have anyone available to put air in the tire to see where the damage was and I needed to fill out a work order form, leave the tire and they will see if they can look at it before the end of the day. I was dumbfounded! Went up the street to Ace Tire and they immediately looked at the tire and showed me where the sidewall damaged was and even offered to assist me with the claim with Tire Rack. Goodbye Precision Brakeworks - you'll never see me again. If this is the way you treat customers, you'll be out of business soon. read more

The whole staff at this place is awesome. I bought Tires on TireRack, the places in Stamford that are on TireRack I have been to before, and I refused to go back. This place is my new go to without a doubt. Was very impressed by the level of service provided to everyone who walked in. It took exactly how long they said it would when I dropped the car off and waited, and that never happens. read more

Great shop. I am very picky about who I let work on my car, as I do most work myself. These guys are top notch. Would trust them with anything. Great service. Prompt, great communication. They totally get it. Highly recommend. read more

I used Precision Brakeworks to install new tires on my car. I bought the tires at Tirerack.com and had them shipped directly to Precision Brakeworks. The shop is a highly rated installer in the Tirerack network of installers so it was an easy decision to use the shop. The communication was excellent. The shop called to say the tires had arrived and we were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. I dropped the car off in the evening and dropped my keys through a slot in the door. Once the car was ready I got a call and they said they had inspected the brakes and found them to be in good shape. A nice added touch. The final price was exactly what I was quoted. I will definitely use Precision Brakeworks again. read more

I will never get my tiers done else where. The staff is honest and knowledgeable. Certified tier rack Reps as well. I was able to have my tiers shipped to their location and mounted on my car in two days. Thank you guys, you rock! read more

Precison Brakeworks are good honest people who show expertise and professionalism in their trade. I found them after I got an excessive quote by a different garage. I took the car to precision brakeworks who more than simplified the problem and corrected it for a fraction of the price. Since then I have always been extremely happy with the excellent service provided. read more

Mike was very good about presenting quote, getting work done quickly and explaining alternatives. I will use this shop again for my 2012 a4

Family oriented and honest work. Mechanics are top notch and I've never had any issues. Highly recommended.

Great shop! As a woman, I get really tired of other shops that talk down to me and try to upsell the repair that needs to be done. Ex. Being told I needed rotors when the car only needed pads. Precision is always fair, respectful and honest. They buy quality parts, do the repair without over billing the time and explain everything they did. I've never had to go back for adjustments or walk away feeling insulted or like I just got ripped off. Highly recommend!. read more
