The owner answered the phone call & said auto repair shops in Inwood are all closed on Suns cuz of auto parts shops are also close. So no parts coming in means no parts getting repair. I was devastated since I wasn't from the neighborhood. I was from Queens. Very far from where I am. The owner was super accommodating in coming to the shop on a Sun when its close just to get my car into the shop. He told me he'll take care of the parts & let me know what's wrong with it & the pricing. Monday came around, true to his words, he'd let me know over the phone that it was the same as my suspicion predicted, it was my brake pads that flew off. Told me the pricing and had it fixed after I agreed to it. Got it done within the same day & I was able to pick it up around noon after being notified like about 3.5 hrs before. I was super happy with the work & the results. The service was superb and the shop owner & his son was extremely helpful and not hostile like some of the shops that I'd went to. A helpful tip .... Yes, it is hot, 100 degrees outside, however when I brought the car in the sticker was connected to the windshield and the sticker is the same from the DMV, nothing to do with my particular car. Am I wrong in expecting at LEAST for them to take some tape and tape it back on the windshield, or AT LEAST let the customer know sorry when taking off the inspection sticker by mistake the registration sticker was scraped and due to the heat came off. (besides pieces of the old inspection sticker were left on the dashboard, not very professional) Where is the service for me to get to my car and just see the sticker off?? don't know if it's off the windshield, they can ticket you for that. NOT very business-like at all!! Few years ago, brought a different car in for whatever reason and after few days of them telling me they are looking at it, go on the lot and see my back window opened while it was raining, ask them why the window is opened while it's raining?? oh, it's broken, WHAT?? it was working fine and closed when I brought it in!!! Much to my surprise when I got there I saw they had a auto collision portion of the shop, as well as offering a free hand wash upon Yelp Check In. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who had me complete paperwork for the service and one of the mechanic's took me right away. They conducted the inspection of air pressure etc confirming that I definitely need new tires and I was done in about 15 minutes tops. Fastest oil change of my life. Usually I'm sitting for hours at the dealership just to get the free deal but I was in a hurry and didn't want to put it off any longer. The mechanics were kind and explained everything and even offered free Self Serve water and coffee at their mini bar. I got the feel of visiting the dealership without having to sit for hours.
