The project started in August 2025. Powur had a subcontractor remove old solar panels to replace them with newer ones and add more solar panels to my system with the addition of Tesla battery packs. The removal of the old panels was completed in a couple of days. Contactors left supplies in my driveway for a couple of months until I complained enough for them to come pick up their left-over supplies. From August till around November, nothing happened, complete silence, or I get, we are waiting on this or that. During this time, I am paying full electric bills. The installation of the additional panels and battery pack (installed by Voltaic) was a complete mess. Stucco damage to my exterior walls, poor anchoring of conduit to walls, touch-up paint splattered on the ground and on equipment, and trash and debris left at home. Nothing till December, and SCE goes to connect the meter adapter to my electrical panel. NOGO, after all this hassle the socket meter is not compatible. Powur states they had no way of knowing that, and based on the age of my home, they assumed it would work!. This sounds like complete garbage. SCE can come out to check what meter I have, or there have to be other ways to check this before work starts. Anyway, fast forward to today, 3/19/2026, going on 8 months since the start of this rollercoaster, I still do not have solar-generated power. They had to upgrade my electrical panel to work with the adapter. During this time, little to no communication from Powur, flaky third-party contractors came to do work late or had to reschedule for Powur. They leave trash and rush jobs. I have had to make three payments on my solar loan and continue since Aug 2025 to pay full electric bills. $400-500 a month. All while my new system sits dormant on my walls and roof. (Came to find out this is all Voltaic workers) I have had solar installed on my home from another company, which was a pleasure to do business with, so I have experience and expectations with contractors. This company seriously needs to rethink the way they install solar. A scary and sad thing is, I don't think they will be around very much longer, like the rest of the solar companies going out of business. My advice stay away from Powur, it's not worth the hassle, quality of work, and professionalism you expect. As of today 4/16/26, Solar is still not operating correctly. Voltaic the third-party installer for Powur is a nightmare. Now it appears they connected my system incorrectly and are having to work through the problem to get it right. So here I am going on 9 months from start and still don't have a working correctly system. My advice stay away from Powur and Voltaic for any work done on your home. read more

I don't normally leave long reviews, but my experience with Powur has been nothing but stress, delays, and poor workmanship. * Bad system design & ignored warnings From the start, Powur placed 8-10 panels on the side of my home that gets heavy shade. I told them this, but they insisted it would be fine. Within a month, those panels were barely producing power, and Powur had to come back out and relocate them. This should have been avoided entirely with a proper site assessment. * Roof leaks caused by their installation After removing the original panels, we started having leaks whenever it rained. It took Powur almost two months to send someone for an inspection. When the inspector finally came, he found multiple problems: improper shingle installation, poor work around the conduit footings, and holes that allow water in. He recommended replacing the entire affected roof area due to the poor workmanship. It's been about two weeks since that inspection, and we still haven't heard back. * Serious electrical issues due to their panel decisions Powur installed a new main panel but left our very old original panel in place as a subpanel -- without recommending an upgrade. That panel is now failing. We're experiencing buzzing, sparking, flickering lights, and appliances turning on/off. Every electrician we spoke to was shocked Powur left that panel in service. They all said it should have been replaced before solar was ever connected. Now we have to pay out of pocket to replace it. Overall, Powur has been a huge disappointment. Between poor design, roof damage, long wait times, and unsafe electrical decisions, it feels like corners were cut at every stage. I fully regret going with this company and cannot recommend them to anyone considering solar. On top of all that, the value simply isn't there. Solar is supposed to bring long-term savings and peace of mind, but all Powur has brought us is extra costs, repairs, and safety concerns. Any "savings" we might have gotten are completely wiped out by the money we now have to spend fixing their mistakes. We contracted Powur Solar to install a brand new roof and solar system in Feb 2024. We discovered roof leaks in Feb 2025. Here we are in May 2025, and Powur still has not fixed the leaks. We have alot of water damage and mold growing in the attic. We have extensive drywall damage in the ceiling. I caution you not to hire Powur. STAY AWAY! I am not a fan of leaving any bad reviews, if you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say anything but i want to warn anyone thinking of using this company and make them aware. At first its all smooth sailing and quick responses but the moment they put the panels up and get paid, they're gone with the wind. This company hired a third party contractor to install my solar panel and during that course they damaged my roof causing major leaks into my garage. I have personal property damaged, mold now growing in my walls and a large bill that i have to pay in order to fix their mistakes. After over a year of fighting and them coming back to create a bigger mess and leave things unfinished they have decided to just deny causing any damages and refuse to repair the damages. read more

I am in the process of getting Solar from Powur and it's a nightmare. We signed the contract in October 2022, did not the permit until January due to their lack of knowledge on where to apply for the permit in my area. The install started in April after 3 cancelled appointments, due to there error. Now I've had panels since April that aren't connected to my panel. I think it is in your best interest to do your own research. I was too trusting of my independent solar contractor who seemed quite knowledgeable and experienced - however what i didn't know was that this was a new company he was working with. We both would discover that this company has too many cooks in the kitchen. I was contracted for a reroof and solar panels and after submitting the deposit of 1000 and would get a call 3 weeks later that the cost of the reroof would now cost about 14K more than originally signed in the contract because they "mistakenly" gave the price of replacing an asphalt roof vs replacing my woodshake roof with asphalt. When asked to get a refund of the deposit - I was denied and had to fight it with my credit card company which thankfully I won. When I spoke with the roofer who Powur had subcontracted- he said that the roof would cost only 4K more than orginally estimated. Powur likely increased the cost of the roof by 10k for their own profit. Very untrustworthy greedy company . In many ways i am lucky that i was able to get out - I can only imagine if I actually did go through this company what other problems I would encounter. read more

I've given this company way to much of my time and my patience. It's finally time to share my experience with the public in hopes to spare others of the this companies deceiving appearance. The company shows the public this shining exterior :; a powur app showing the process , all your info, sales person , project mgr etcc. It looks like a dream come true on the outside but in fact a empty interior. It all started with a sign on the line and move forward. We had our 21kw system installed pretty quick as they got the city permits and design verified to proceed. Install was a few days and it went well overall except the 100 clay tiles they broke and pallets and trash left behind. Of course they said they had no room to handle trash and they would be back. Yes. They came back finally after several months and my numerous emails that were never responded to by project mgr and or even sales guy. ( Corey). I forgot to mention that the original project mgr was no longer. So my work was just floating in a cloud and the abyss. So after finally getting a new project mgr I get the tiles replaced and trash cleared. My new mgr apologies and assures me that I will at least get communication about the solar completion. I get a notification that the city inspection is on a certain date and that day comes and no show , no call, no email , no words. I follow up and of course mgr does not know but will get back to me. Mgr gets back to me that my design , paperwork needs to be fixed so city inspection can be scheduled. We are now 4 months from start date , 2.5 months since panels were installed , electrical done. We still are in the same place we were 2.5 months ago . My sales guy has ghosted me , and I have a project mgr with no answers . Oh I've paid over 5k in electric since we started the new solar project and will continue paying $800 a month until my 75 k system actually works. The company is not organized and all of its parts are subs, : the sales guy , the install company . I'm stuck and I'm crossing my fingers my system works and I'm praying that I have no serious issues later in the next years. We started the process in January of 2023. In the beginning they were on top of it. The plans were submitted to my county in February of 2023 but needed a revision. It's now July 20, 2023 and it's not been resubmitted. I am still waiting. I have been in contact with Powur 6 times trying to find out the status. I am getting one apology after another. Excuses are not getting me power from the sun, and I am not getting answers. I have been in contact with our county building permits specialist and he has not heard from the engineers from Powur since February. Five months wasted in my opinion. I want out of the contract. If this is how they are going to do business I don't want to be in this, it's turning into a nightmare. Last week I was promised an answer by the end of the week, that is today. If I don't hear from them I am going to find out how to get out of this contract. There and many other solar companies. I don't recommend Powur Solar at all. read more
