I never leave reviews on Yelp, but felt that I had to for PowR Meals. I work full-time and am a nursing student. The addition of full-time school to my hectic job has put me in the position the last year or so to eat out. A lot. Lunch and dinner have routinely been some fast food option or other and (trust me) it gets old fast. It is also incredibly expensive and unhealthy. I sat down and did the math and realized that I would probably save money- and eat healthier- if I went with a meal prep service. I found PowR Meals on Yelp. It was the closets and cheapest service to me. I started with the 4 week 5 meal plan and after the first day upgraded to the 4 week 10 meal plan. The food is delicious. It is well portioned and I feel like I've eaten a good meal when I'm done. I have requested the vegetarian options (I'm not a big meat eater), and I have not had one that I did not like. The delivery is convenient. They post the menu a week in advance, so you know what to expect. The menu changes weekly and there is a nice information label on the front of all the meals that list ingredients, calorie count, carbs, etc. It's lovely. If anyone is on the fence about it, I would recommend just trying a week. It's worth it! read more

I really enjoyed this meal-prep company. I love the mission of the chef and her motivation for starting this business. The meals were delicious and mindfully portioned, however, I found myself still hungry after each meal. I could have stood to order the "athletic portion" option. My mother found them to be perfect portions for her as someone who is used to dieting/eating smaller quantities. I, on the other hand, tend to eat much more following my everyday workouts. I really liked that the calorie/protein/carb count was clearly labeled on each container. Trust me on this,I've done a pretty through search. I live in Beaumont and there are about 4-5 delivery services that hit this area with fresh food and each cost about 25-30 dollars more per week. The food is flavorful, healthy, menu changes every week and it's fresh (they deliver twice a week to keep it that way). I used to meal prep every Sunday for around 4-6 hrs including shopping time and I got tired of throwing away my Sunday to make food, when I could spend it with my family.
