My car broke down (transmission failure) on a road trip, and I pulled off into Leb-Myer's lot on a Sunday night. I stayed at a nearby hotel, and went there first thing in the morning. They started taking a look at it and gave me a ride back to my hotel. They even drove me to go get lunch. Once they figured out the problem, they worked hard on it and got it done much faster then expected. Even though they close at 5:00, Brent (the fantastic owner) stayed until 6:30 to finish up the repairs so I could get back on the road one day sooner and avoid having to stay in town for another night. They kept in touch about their progress and never made any big decisions without asking me what I thought first and offering to set me up with a local transmission specialist in case I wanted a second opinion. In the end, the bill was quite reasonable and much lower than I expected. I couldn't have broken down in front of a better mechanic! I just wished I lived closer so I could come here regularly. I would strongly consider buying a car from them in the future.

They ordered one & installed but it wasn't programmed right so they had to get another. The installed the 2nd one & again it wasn't programmed properly. A 3rd ECM was shipped out but before it arrived Heffner had the 2nd unit programmed & installed it. After 8 days I was concerned with all that Heffner had to deal with that along with a new taillight being replaced was going to be OUCH! Heffner Automotive came through & the entire bill was less than the car rental. Being on the road & working in the pipeline industry we've come to expect the worst case scenario from auto repair to fast food. Unfortunately it comes with the territory. Two weeks prior a coworker took his truck to the dealership & in 8 hours (One day in the shop) his bill was $2207 for some front end work. Heffner Automotive in Lebanon, Pa. is damn good & a very trustworthy shop to take your vehicles.
