Jamie and his crew did an awesome job. We did a panel upgrade from Zinsco. He scheduled our appointment with PG&E before asking for any money. Once job started it took only 1 day to complete. I was worried there would be unknown issues but it was a simpler process than I expected. We will be using this company in the future as well as refer to everyone I know. read more

Powercal Electric - New panel - Electricians Near Me

I had scheduled an appointment online with this company for a free quote. I received an email confirmation of the appointment and later an email reminder. I planned my day around the time slot. No one showed up. I tried to call the company and the voicemail box was full. I could not reach anybody. While reviewing, I noticed that all of their reviews are old. Perhaps they are no longer in business, but they should take down their scheduling system. read more

Sent Jamie a message on Yelp two days ago and was able to get an appointment for today during this horrible pandemic. Our job involved installing two outlets (see pics) near our two toilets, one GFCI the other a regular outlet. We needed electricity near toilets to install bidets to reduce our toilet paper usage, since TP is worth more than gold at the moment. Jamie plus one worker showed up on time and in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): masks, shoe guards, eye protection. They finished the job in two hours, about a half hour of that was spent cleaning the work area with a bleach solution. He also cleaned all surfaces that were touched including door handles. I am very likely to hire these folks again in the future and I have made two referrals to family. All around: professional, well-spoken and fast service. read more

Powercal Electric - Electricians Near Me

I needed to have permanent power added for a 5th wheel trailer on our ranch above Elderwood. Jaime and I connected and I am so glad I found him and his company. Outstanding customer service, great attitude his staff as well. I did not think I would receive the service I did especially because of the distance and a ranch located in the middle of nowhere. I was not able to run my AC or other things during all of the heat waves going on, but now it is running everything without a problem. Jaime and the team dug the trench, laid the line, and also helped me get the water line taken care of as well. That wasn't even in his bid. Living 4 hours from the ranch it is great to know that Powercal and Jaime are there when I need them. You will always be my first call, Jaime! Thank you for going way above and beyond, it is unheard of these days. Jaime, I can't thank you enough for the job you did on our ranch! read more

Powercal Electric - Love my new set up! - Electricians Near Me

Thank goodness for Yelp. I contacted several electricians using the "Request a Quote" Functionality on Yelp. I received five quick responses from the six companies I contacted. Jaime had a opening for the next day to stop by for an estimate. So within 24 Hours he was at my house. Jamie carefully listened to my needs. He was knowledgeable and polite. A winning combination in my book. I was glad he came in person. I found out he could work on Cat 5 Ethernet Cables and I asked him for a bid on a whole house Solar Installation. He had some extra time and installed a video doorbell. I was able to watch him perform the installation. He conducted himself professionally and told me he likes to perform the job with the same care he would for his own home. I believe he truly cares about the service he provides. read more

Had a dead outlet in my newly purchased home I needed checked out. Coaxial cable comes in right next to it so would make sense to be able to plug in modem to that outlet. Jaime came out, very friendly and professional, came in my home responsibly wearing shoe covers, gloves, and a mask. Jaime quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me the best solution I felt to make that outlet work since it wasn't going to be an easy fix. So went ahead and scheduled to job with him in a few weeks as it was no rush. Unfortunately had to cancel the job, comcast came and relocated my coaxial cable to a different part of the house, not needing jaime to fix that outlet afterall. I would definitely recommend jaime and will be calling him for future electrical projects. Customer service was A+. Thanks again read more

I called Powercal to assist with a switch in our kitchen on a remodel that was working and stopped working randomly. I thought maybe one of our contractors crossed wires during another project involving power. Jaime answered the call, he was very professional, fast and efficient. He was able to come by within the hour, assess the problem and fix it. He also went above and beyond and helped screw in a couple wall plates that weren't centered. We'll definitely be using him again for our remodel projects coming up, highly recommend!! 10/10 read more

Jaime was very attentive and professional. He made an estimate to add switch brakers to my home and other pro advises. The estimate was a no cost. I was in town to visit my father for a couple of days, and Powercal Electric was the only vendor on Yelp that responded to my inquiry in a timely manner. Not only did they give me a reasonable price, they were able to get to my fathers house within 24 hours to install a Ring doorbell while I was there. They arrived early, and they cleaned up after they left. I was super impressed that they helped us set up the doorbell making sure that all of the features worked before they left. I was not expecting that, only the installation portion. I'm super excited to have a trustworthy vendor I can call to help assist my elderly father when he has Electrical issues. Will do business again ! read more

First of all, these guys had no problem coming out to the small town where my house is located, and arrived in a timely fashion. My place has an ancient breaker box and wiring, but Jaime was an absolute master at diagnosing my issues and fixing them on the spot. He also gave me quotes for upgrades I'm planning, and took his time to explain to me the best way to do things. Pricing was very reasonable for the day's work too! I will be calling them again for the next phase of my project and highly recommend! read more

Great work by Jaime and his team. Price for the work was great! I will definitely be recommending him to my family and friends.

This was by far the best experience we have ever had with an electrician. From the request of the appointment to the end where we paid the bill, I was more than satisfied with everything! In my experience it can be challenging to trust someone to be honest and fair when it comes to any household repair. I am glad we found PowerCal and we will not look any other place with this method of service, care, and professionalism. Thank you! read more
