Initially, I was happy with the response from this company, but the more and more I've dealt with them, the more shady they seem and I could not recommend them to others. Nelson responded pretty quickly after I put in a request for a quote here on Yelp. I asked to have a new lighted mirror installed replacing an existing mirror, and to install a vanity light fixture replacing an existing fixture. He stated all work was guaranteed with a 2 year warranty and he was able to fit me into his schedule with just a couple days notice. He sent me a confirmation text when we scheduled and again on the morning of the appointment. He showed up on time on the day of the appointment, wore a mask and got to work quickly. All this was a great sign, however, the work itself was not great quality. Initially the mirror was crooked so I asked him to make it level to the countertop. (Shouldn't have had to point that out) when he fixed the leveling, he had to lower the mirror, so the hole where the electrical went through the wall was visible. (There was no hole before. He is the one that cut the hole and decided to place it in that location). He said I could patch it up. I needed to get to work, so I paid, but I shouldn't have let him leave it that way. I asked for a work-order/invoice and he said it would all be on the emailed receipt. When I received the receipt, it was just a square receipt with the dollar amount and no details. The company name on the receipt was also "Brighter Future Electric" which was very confusing since we had been communicating here with the name listed as "AMP Power". A google search showed no company under that name. I called Nelson back the same day as the install and asked if he could please come back and patch the hole. He said he'd send his drywall guy (also named Nelson?!) on Saturday morning at 9am to cut a new hole lower in the wall for the cord and then patch the visible hole. I asked again for a work order/invoice so I could keep it for my records and have some proof of this "warranty" and I asked if he had a website. He said he'd send all that info to me again. I have received nothing 4 days later. On Saturday morning I texted Nelson (the owner) at 8am to confirm he was coming at 9am. I rearranged my plans once again to be home for this. He did not respond. It is now 945 and i have received no response and no one has shown up to fix this improper install. I'll be disputing the charges with my credit card company. Edit: The drywaller never showed up on the originally scheduled day. The owner Nelson offered to provide a full refund (refund has not yet processed on my credit card) and scheduled his drywaller to come again and fix things. On the day the drywaller was supposed to show up the second time, he was 20 mins late, and then when I asked how he was going to fix the hole, to make sure we were on the same page, he got very defensive and ultimately said we could fix it ourselves and just packed up and left while I was on the phone with Nelson trying to come to an agreement. Nelson was apologetic and did say he would likely not be working with that drywaller in the future and Nelson came and fixed the hole that afternoon, but in the end, I had to wait around 3 separate times excluding the original appointment, for an error that should have never happened in the first place. I never received any kind of invoice or work order for the work completed, no documentation of the supposed 2 year warranty on the work, and no information regarding the website for the company. I recently moved into a house that was built in 1937. The entire house's electricity had been updated in 2005, except for the living room and dining room. I contacted several electricians, but either didn't get a response or the estimates they gave were sky-high (even taking into account the pandemic/inflation). Nelson at Brighter Futures Electric responded quickly and was able to come out for an in-person visual within 2-3 days. Not only that, his estimate was very reasonable and amazingly transparent. I decided to proceed and he and his team came out within a week (and they arrived on time). I wanted to install LED lighting in the ceilings of both rooms and so he suggested very slim LED wafer lights (a very thin recessed lighting can that can likely fit on any ceiling). I also updated 4 existing 2-prong, non-grounded power receptacles as well as added 6 new receptacles. He thoroughly explained all of the work that was going to be done and the pricing on each individual task, etc. I was so pleased that I added a few more items to the list that I hadn't thought of previously. To that, he had no problems (of course) and again, pricing was very transparent. He was highly respectful of my house. They moved most items out of the way and covered larger pieces of furniture with plastic, so that the dust from drilling into the plaster wouldn't cover everything. In addition to the lighting and plugs, they also added media wires (speaker wires, RCA and CAT6 cables) in the living room and terminated them nicely across the opposite wall. Easy schedueling and next day service. Nelson came out and place 4 outlets in 2 rooms. 3 work!! Broke a large hole in the plaster next to outlet. Was to place a 20 amp breaker in my box, charged $350. Was NEVER placed!! Left a mess at each outlet. He's supposed to come back to repair all that wasn't!! This was all supposed to have a 2 year guarentee also. Nelson did come back today and render all that was wrong. Gave a 50% off the breaker which rendered the outlet problem. I saw a great recommendation for this company, especially Nelson. I made an appt and no one showed. I called and no one answered. I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full. I messaged the company with that and got a message back on Yelp that they will check why I'm not getting the quote and will make sure. It was almost a full week since then and no quote. I had an electrical problem in my garage: two lamps and the garage opener stopped working all at once. I was contacted by the company after I posted my request for service and I made an appointment for a consultation. The technician came over, inspected the wiring and outlets and told me I needed to rewire the connections and add a new circuit breaker for it as the old wires were not good anymore. Also, since one of the lamps was not working anymore, he also replaced it with a more current and energy-saver lamp.
