On a late-morning Saturday we put our name down (25 minute wait) and ran a couple of pre-planned errands knowing that would likely be the case. Returned on time and our name was next. We were disappointed to learn that their famous Liege waffle was sold out (and were advised they frequently sell out by 9-ish on weekends). We got their cinnabon french toast and the day's special which was a concoction of 4-5 different proteins, including pork, shrimp, beans, bacon, eggs plus several sauces. Food took nearly 20 minutes to be delivered on this crowded wknd visit. The french toast was disappointing - literally a cinnamon roll dipped (though just barely and just on one side?) in egg batter and than pan-fried. It was painfully sweet and lacking in that notable, delectable, fully-dunked batter. The special was at first intriguing but then absolutely overwhelming with just way too many random flavors... themeless, to find a fitting word. Staff was terrific despite the fullhouse and a bottomless $2 cup of joe is a wonderful throwback. Fast forward two weeks and we made it in for their weekday early morning breakfast menu (6-8am). That included the Wyatt Earp ($10.25) with layers consisting of eggs, hash, shredded pork, beans, rice. And (not on the early morning specials) we finally got the Liege berry waffle ($18.50). Both were delivered piping hot and tasted delicious. We each got the respective sauces on the side (Hollandaise for the Wyatt and fresh creme and agave syrup for the Liege) and we were immensely glad we did so! The Wyatt barely needed any of the rich Hollandaise and the Liege was itself nicely sweet that we barely needed to even graze the waffle in the whipped cream (and none of the agave) to enjoy it. The berries were of good quality as well. Bonus, during the time we were there (roughly 7:45-8:30a) the venue was never more than half full.

There's a separate building you can buy local retail, as well as a café where I ordered a dirty Horchata (not realizing it had coffee lol), a sandwich with fries, and one of the baked desserts (a brownie with something I can't remember lol). All the food was great. As a french fry lover, I have to say that the fries were fantastic! Once you order, you're able to find a place to sit, and the food is brought to you. I would def return!

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

They never looked at me all because in my opinion, I was wearing my gay pride shirt cause I just came back from the gay Pride swimming pool party at Tuxon. I walked inside the restaurant, grab my seat and started looking at the menu and the waiter just kept walking by never asked me anything. Next thing you know I know another person walks in that person sits down the waiter gives them their silverware ask what they wanna order. Ask what they want to drink and he gets his food and I still haven't mince asked what I wanted to eat. At this point the cook who is not his job to wait on people said hey are you gonna wait on this guy? He's been here way before this guy they still didn't do anything so the cook out of the generosity of his heart asked me what I wanted to eat what I wanted to drink. He's the one that took my order. He's the one that got my drink, cooked my food and served me. Again, I have never felt so discriminated against embarrassed like people were looking at me so I just got my food. Ate it and paid my bill and left. I don't know about you guys, but this is my first time being discriminated against and it didn't feel very good so be careful when you go to that to that waffle house if you ever go if you're in a discriminate if you're in a class that you can be discriminated against. I did file a complaint with Waffle House on their corporate website and they forwarded my information onto the on-site owner of the business and I have yet hurt anything cause I just sent it as of yesterday. I think as a gay community that I live in we have a very strong gay community community in Gen. I think we should boycott that place and pretty much show them that they can't be discriminated against. That's all I really have to say I just wanted to get it out there and let them know that I was discriminated against and I'm not gonna tolerate it not in this day and age. Brian Craig Benenhaley

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

This might be first come first served but I am not totally sure. The food is a really good spread of options. Pancakes, german pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict(s) monte cristo, omelets, croque madame, country chicken with biscuits and sausage gravy, chilaquiles con pollo, avocado toast, savory crepe, and even a breakfast pizza. Oh and they offer a few skillet options too-southwest, loaded baked potato, and sausage and peppers skillet. So many options!! I can't speak too much for lunch but I did see burgers on the menu. Not too helpful in that arena sorry. The eggs Benedict with ham was awesome. Side of potatoes with a bit of all seasoning and a side salad with awesome light dressing comes with it. The dutch baby was also great. A german pancake served savory with sausage. Huge portion. NEVER GOING BACK!! They do not want large groups!!…read more My family and I have gone here several times. Their pancakes are pretty good and my wife really likes their lavender drink. It's been good enough for us to keep returning when we take our daughter to her UofA dorm. However, something happened today with the staff that has ensured we will NEVER Return! This time, we had my elderly parents with us for a total of 6 in our group. We tried to call ahead to notify them of the large group, but they said they don't take reservations and to just come in. When we arrived, they have a sign out that says "Please Seat Yourself". We told the girls at the front counter that there was 6 of us and asked if they had a table for 6. They advised that they were not sure and for us to go look. So we went into the dining area to look. They did not have a table set for 6 people, but they did have plenty of open tables set for 4 and 2. So, I scooted two tables together for us all to sit together. The next thing I know, a waitress came over and started berating me for moving the tables. Stating that it was a "Fire Code Violation"! She was very rude about it and said she was going to find someone to talk to me. I tried explaining to her that we had a party of 6 and we were "seating ourselves". She went into the back and got some older waitress to come over to speak with me. The second waitress came over and asked if she could help me. I explained to her that we are a party of 6 and that we needed a table that we could all sit at. In a very condescending way that I absolutely did not appreciate, she re-stated that they have a fire code. I understand that there's a fire code that they need to abide by, but these employees were really rude about it, and the tables were already right next to each other. But the lady said that if we needed a table for 6, we would need to wait for a bunch of people in this other area to leave. I explained This is WHY I told the girls at the front counter that we were a party of 6! We were already prepared to wait and waiting was fine! After all of this drama about the tables happened, my parents and wife were over it, and decided that it wasn't worth waiting. So, we sat apart at different tables. THEN, to top it all off, I ordered a "breakfast burrito" that they brought me with both ends open. ???... Apparently, their cook doesn't know what a burrito is! They have lost my business forever, and I will try to deter anybody that will listen from spending their money there!!
