So i decided to join her one day as her plus one. First off, know that you have to drive all the way to the back of the plaza to find it. But there's plenty of parking. The studio is run by two nice trainers: Sally and Jordan. They are very open and all about helping you. They tell you their story and listen to yours. It's all about setting goals and appreciating the little accomplishments. First thing when you walk in is that it's one big room. Not little alcoves here and there. Just a huge mat for you to get sweaty on. I did notice there's not one mirror- which is quite interesting. There is complementary child care and very nice locker rooms. They are like to do one on one meetings to check in with you every other week. Their hours are a bit wonky so check the class schedule each week before coming in. But what I like most about this place is that if you can't do a conventional push up, they find another way to get your body to work the same muscles. My advice? Come try it out!

The trainers are super nice, and informative. They make sure to get to know you on a personal level, but also help you achieve your goals (whatever they may be)!!

After…read moremoving to Lancaster from D.C., I was looking for something to replace a great boot camp I had gone to in the past to get in shape for my wedding. No gyms in the area seemed to have what I was looking for, or they were way too expensive. I am someone who finds it hard to get motivated to work out regularly, and even if I do manage to drag myself onto the treadmill, I don't push myself as hard as I should. As for strength training, forget it-- I was way too clueless and intimidated to get into an effective routine on my own. Enter Mickey and No Pink Dumbbells boot camp. This is the first time I have ever looked forward to working out. I am seeing great results, but I like that the emphasis is on being able to do more during the workouts and feeling healthier and stronger, not on losing weight. The other people there are all shapes and sizes with varying fitness levels, and although I feel a healthy competition because I'm a competitive person, Mickey reminds us to compete only with ourselves and to challenge ourselves. I really like that. The group atmosphere is friendly and supportive, but folks are there to work up a good sweat. It's a perfect balance. The workouts are intense, which I love because I always leave feeling accomplished, but they are easily tailored to individual needs. This class fits all ages and sizes and we bond as a group. I've never been bored once because it's never the same. Mickey puts a ton of time and effort into her program. She inspires and encourages us to work harder and not to give up. And here I still am a much happier and more self-confident person. I love that my son told me one day "mom you can tell that you workout, look at your arms!" If you dedicate yourself to this program your body and soul will love you!
