We moved with Power Movers over the weekend, and they did a FANTASTIC job. Reading reviews for other moving companies, I was very apprehensive about placing my trust in a company to move all of my belongings. I came across Power Movers on Yelp, and was surprised to see so many glowing reviews. After using Power Movers for our move, I understand all of the positive reviews. They worked HARD from the minute that they arrived until the last box was unloaded. Not one minute was wasted. We had some very heavy furniture, and the configuration of our house made moving some pieces out a little tricky. Not a problem for these guys. They were professional, honest, hard working, and just all around nice people. I really feel like I hit the jackpot with these guys. read more

Everything regarding the process of working with Power Movers was easy. From getting a quote (Yelp messaging), to scheduling our move (on Yelp), the guys arrived early in the window (giving us a heads up when they were on their way). The entire move went smoothly, they got our things out to the truck quickly and unpacked at our new house quickly as well, helping to move heavy items upstairs for us - huge help! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to make a move in Houston! read more

These guys are great! Initially, I was recommended them through my Camden apartment complex and then I did some research of my own. The 5 star reviews from others totally convinced me they were the right guys for my move. I was able to book completely online and they responded in a quick time frame. Even better, their pricing was extremely comparable. They arrived a few minutes past 1-3pm time window BUT Lance called me around 1:45 to let me know they would be there right around 3 Or a few minutes past. I very much appreciated the communication and keeping me in the loop. Lance and Shane arrived and they were great!!Extremely professional, super friendly, overall great guys. They handled my stuff with care and did a great job wrapping/protecting my furniture. Overall, the whole move process was smooth and they were done in a little over 3 hours! I can't recommend them enough for your moving needs. Super pleased customer right here. Thanks guys! read more

This is my second move with Power Movers and I am really satisfied with their services. The move was smooth, the guys were very friendly, did not waste any time and they were on time. I definitely recommend using them if you want your move to be painless. read more

All I can say is WOW. I could not have asked for a better move. Lance, Chase and Lupe made the best of a potentially stressful situation (who enjoys moving?) and i'm blown away. They exceeded all my expectations, let alone talk about the price! From the start the quote was extremely good, then in the end we even came in under. I 100% will not ever hire another moving company again. read more

The night before our move, I called and switched from a 3 men to a 2 man crew. It took 1 minute on the phone and was completely painless....Our window for move time was 1:30-3:30 & the movers called in the morning to let us know they would arrive at 2:30. (We reeeeeally appreciated that. Not having to sit around wondering when they are coming when you have a million things to do goes a long way.) The guys showed up at 2:27. Very professional and friendly, took good care of our belongings and respected our home. Very fairly priced & we would recommend them to all! read more

We just used them for partial packing and move in the Heights and they provided exceptional service! I enjoyed the camaraderie of the team and everyone was super friendly but hard working. The packing was done a few days earlier but they simply moved the billing with the move in so payment was super easy and rates are competitive. There was a minor ding in our wall that they pointed out to us (no one ever does this) and they sent out a contractor the next day to fix it and followed up with us immediately. I couldn't be more impressed by the way this business is run. Highly recommend! read more

The guys that worked that day were friendly and professional. They took care of my things and placed them in the appropriate rooms. Only issue was my headrest getting placed into the garbage can read more

Shane and Tru were personable and hard working. Everything you could ask for in a moving team and they worked tirelessly to get our stuff up and down multiple flights of stairs and into our new home. Willing to try difficult maneuvers if necessary with a positive attitude. Would definitely recommend. read more

Power movers helped my best friend move to her new house yesterday. It was hot and they kept working for 7 hrs. Thanks for the great work!

I used Power Movers for packing and moving. Their team that helped me pack was great and very efficient. I basically had everything ready to go, all that was needed was to put the boxes and furniture in the truck. The move, however, did not go as well at all as it took an absorbent amount of time to load the truck and then unload the truck. What should take 5 minutes to break down a dining table with 4 legs, took 30 minutes. I look and there's a guy sitting Indian style unscrewing each screw by hand. There was a couch in a bedroom that needed to be loaded on the truck. The guys spent over 30 minutes trying to maneuver the couch out of the room, but they never got it out. I told them the door needed to come off, but they didn't even try it. anytime i came out of my room to see how things were going, there was one guy standing around or looking on his phone. The rep I spoke to at Power movers did not do anything to help my situation. She only made excuses and had 0 compassion. I didn't ask for a refund of any kind, just for help to finish the move that was never completed due to the ridiculous amount of time spent moving out of a tiny 1,100 sq ft house. I would never use them again. read more

They were outstanding and provided great service, showed up ahead of schedule and worked with me on a scheduling conflict which I had. I would absolutely use them on my move. Thanks Power Movers!!! read more

This is the second time to use Power Movers and I would recommend them again. First was full move out of one house and to another ... long, rough day! Today, it was packing house into Pack Rats. They did a great job wrapping and protecting our stuff to go into long term storage. Will use and recommend again. read more

This team from order inception to execution of the job was by far the best experience I've had in moving. The personnel who arrived the day before to pack were efficient and did exactly as requested. The next day when the movers arrived the experience was great the only hiccup was caused by me as I had not reserved time for the loading dock, but they accommodated with a smile and just moved the truck to a nearby area. They pricing and flexibility were worth it. I'd hire them again in the future. read more

I really hate moving, but working with Power Movers made the move as easy as can be. Gary was excellent in providing me with info and tips that would help make the move easy, fast, and efficient. They even provided me with some free moving boxes that they dropped off before the move and picked up after the move. I've never heard of a moving company providing free boxes to customers. They are hard plastic boxes that are reusable so it's a very eco-friendly solution. I got several quotes from other companies and Power Movers comes in at a very reasonable price point, plus the customer service, free boxes, and ease of setting up the move online where huge winners for me. On the website you're able to let them know ahead of time how much you have to move and you can even upload pictures. All that helps you get a pretty accurate quote and approximately how long your move will take. On the day of the move I had the pleasure of working with Lance, Rueben and Shane. These guys were great. Very fast and efficient. They were also personable too which I appreciated. Pro tip: get everything boxed up as much as you can because that'll make everything go faster. Things that I couldn't box, like tables, bed, mattress, chairs, crib, etc... I broke down as much as I could and the crew was able to carefully wrap everything up. They took extra care in wrapping up my TV's and computer monitors. Unloading was fast and they offered to help set everything back up, but that wasn't necessary for me. I'm recommending Power Movers to my friends and family for sure. ***"too long to read" version: If you need movers, you don't need to look further than Power Movers. Great customer service, free boxes, and ease of setting up the move online = Winning! read more

I absolutely recommend this company. Super fast and professional. Very kind and did an excellent job taking care of my things! My move was small, but Rodney and Shane helped me with moving old stuff to the dumpster as well as my initial items. They were so kind and friendly. They did an amazing job I cannot recommend this company enough. Fast. On time. Personable. Please see if you can request Shane and Rodney, they made my morning fun and worry free! read more

This was the timeliest, highest quality move I've ever had. I have to trust whoever is handling my belongings, and I never had a doubt that the Power Movers team could handle the job professionally and responsibly. I would recommend to anyone looking for a mover to read reviews before hiring and ask questions! This was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone! read more

Power Movers are the best in the business! I am a local realtor that refers all of my clients to them and I am NEVER disappointed. My clients rave about the service and how wonderful the guys are. I work at an apartment community and I have used my fair share of movers and Power Movers are by far the most professional. I have used them personally and I always refer my residents because I know they are going to be taken care of. They movers were very professional, helpful and had a great personality. The move went smoothly without any problems. Will use them again.

Rodney, Reuben, and Fred were fantastic. All were very genuine, professional, and friendly. They had great sense of humor and the day went quick. This was a local move with some challenges due to being on a second-floor storage unit and we rode the elevators up and down for most the afternoon! But they were cracking jokes and having a good time while working hard. The afternoon went fairly quickly and I was very happy that they managed to stack my items in my units with space to spare! I've moved many times in my life and hired many companies but this was by far the best experience I've had. Allie and Jennifer in the office were also wonderful to work with. And some very nice young man came and gave me a quotebut I forgot what his name was but he was also very professional. I retired from a business in which I managed 133 employees and I recognize when management is making the right hiring decisions and setting the right cultural expectations. Management in this company is doing top-notch with all of the above and I recommend this company for your next move. read more

Incredibly efficient and polite! We used them to move all of our downstairs furniture upstairs so we could do repairs on our first floor. They covered and wrapped everything for protection, and even though they were very thorough it only took them a couple hours! Also, I live in Missouri City and they had no problem driving out that far to help me. Highly recommend. read more

These are the best movers in Houston. They were friendly, courteous, and very efficient. The price of the move was more than reasonable. They professionally wrapped all my fragile furniture and used blankets as well so nothing would get scratched. They had great senses of humor and wonderful attitudes for a hot July move in Houston. I would highly recommend these guys over any other service. Easy to book, quick and easy move. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. read more

I'll save you some time of searching for movers that you can spend packing-book with Power Movers! First off, three other people were moving out of the complex we were moving out of & seeing the other movers handle the other tenants furniture made me so happy we went with Power Movers. Not only did they wrap all our furniture but they handled everything so well. They kept everything light by cracking jokes, as moving can be stressful. Lastly, they cleaned up after themselves which is a huge plus. I would highly recommend them! read more

When another moving company never bothered showing up, I contacted power movers. Getting a quote and setting up an appointment time was smooth and easy. Guess what?! These guys showed up on time and wrapped and packed all of my stuff in a timely manner. I was a little worried because I have some large and heavy furniture. These guys are true professionals because they got it up two flights of stairs and did not damage any walls or any of my furniture. Hopefully I never move again but if I do, I will definitely contact power movers! read more

5 stars-USE NO ONE ELSE....EVERYTHING WENT WRONG, TV BROKE, AND I'M STILL GIVING THEM 5 STARS Bear with me here for a moment. Something always breaks on a move, this time it was my TV, but everything about the move was handled wonderfully by this team. First of all they recommended two trucks for our house. I declined thinking we only needed one. Then less than a week before the move realized I was wrong and called. They booked a second truck right then and there. The day of the move one of the trucks broke down. They rented a truck from one of the diy rental companies and still showed up on time. When they got to the house they moved QUICKLY and with care. Most movers drag their feet and tack on extra billable hours. These guys were hustling from the start. They had us loaded up in under their quoted time. They unpacked us just as quickly. Unfortunately during the move our 65" 4k Samsung TV broke. It was literally the most valuable thing they were moving. I braced myself for the 30-60 cents per pound I was going to get back on my $1500 TV( that's the usual rate)....But that's not what happened. When we discovered the TV had broken. The team leader called over to their management and sent pictures of the damage himself. He had me on the phone with management while they checked our other devices. A couple other minor things had also taken damage, but here's the deal... It straight up was not their fault! The truck they rented had a board in it that snapped in transit. The board slapped into the screen and destroyed it. In spite of that, and the fact that they were in no way required to recoup me the cost of the TV, they did it anyway. The owner personally called me and sent me a brand new Samsung 65" literally just the 2019 model instead of my 2018 model. He had it delivered from BestBuy to the house. Not only that, but when the team left, they presented me the bill. They basically stopped the clock at when they found damage. this shaved an extra 90 minutes or so off of my move bill. They did ask about my other minor damages, but truthfully it wasn't important stuff to me and they had done enough. When it was all said and done they had moved me 40 miles farther, with twice as much stuff as my previous move, but did it in less time and with far more care. This level of both competence, consideration, and courtesy is unheard of and I could not recommend power movers more. read more

Gary & Tyler arrived right at the start of the estimated arrival range, and worked quickly and carefully to get everything done as easily as possible. The price was very reasonable and well worth it. They covered and wrapped all furniture as well to ensure nothing got scraped in the process. Definitely above and beyond, and I would recommend Power Movers to anyone and will certainly use them next time I move. read more

Lance and Ray were great. Showed up on time and with masks. Moved my daughter from a third floor to a third floor. They were very careful with all of the furniture.
