Run, don't walk, from this predatory outfit! Repeat: Avoid at all costs! My 94-year old mother, a widow, contracted to have Power Cleanouts empty her home, as she prepared to close on its sale. Power Cleanouts destroyed the main bathroom's built-in, custom-made vanity in the process. Power Cleanouts' manager, "George", first promised to pay for the repair, then have a friend fix it before closing. "I give you my word," he said. Well, "George" stopped answering phone calls, emails and texts, despite our making an offer to settle the matter for pennies on the dollar. George's crew of workers also made off with the house's fire extinguisher, necessary for the required certificate of occupancy. At $41.80, that's only petty larceny, of course. Question: Do they specialize in preying on nonagenerians widows? Advice: Keep away. read more

Very very goot! The guys were to arrive between 3 and 5. They arrived at 3 with smiling faces. We had so much demo for them to clean up, I thought they would gasp, but they looked at it, said they have seen things like this before and got to work. I had to workers with me plus my boyfriend, so we were able to crank this out in under 2 hours. I had two trucks worth of demolition, but since we had the workers they gave us a very good price. I will definitely use them again when it's time for me to clean up the rehab part of my house journey. Everyone was great, professional and did not complain about the amount. Easily the most unprofessional service I have ever encountered. Workers arrived on time. Removed majority of furniture without issue. Worker then refused to remove the removeable (twist on/off) legs on a sofa. Worker then scratched front door badly, leaving long and deep gash. Workers had a disagreement amongst themselves and proceed to physically fight on my property (punches, shoving, the whole nine). I had the Power Cleanout teams come to my nearly 80-year old parents house on two separate occasions to empty out the porch which was filled to the top with boxes of stuff. They also took down a bed frame and mattress that was in a small room filled with junk. In addition, I cherry picked certain items from different rooms. Both times they worked quickly and with no judgement (my parents house was like hoarders situation). I really appreciated the teams that helped my parents - they are friendly and supportive. I feel very relieved that the junk is gone! In terms of communication, the coordination was quick- I got next day service at a reasonable price: I would definitely hire the Power Cleanout team again! Scheduled them to pick up some serious yard waste and junk, some of which I had gathered up and some of which was loose out behind the garage. Guys arrived pretty late (2.5 hours past end of the quoted window). But I get that things happen. Guys were super nice, worked hard and fast, but mostly only took the stuff I had piled together for them. They said they could only take what was in the pictures we sent which confused me because I thought we had sent a picture of the area behind the garage (after they left I checked and we DID send a picture of the area behind the garage--if they needed more information or if it was more than they were expecting I wish they had just given me another quote). They said they would try to take the junk, but by the time they got everything I had piled up the truck was full and they didn't want to get a fine. Sure, I get it. By that point it was starting to get dark, so it didn't seem like there was much that could be done about it. Again, they were super nice and hardworking. Maybe if they hadn't ended up running so late they would have done another trip. Or not sure if I should have gathered things up better for them in advance. I wasn't expecting them to pickup every little twig or clean up every leaf, but I still have a backyard with junk to be cleared out (some day). Had an appointment at 8:30am. We came from home to meet them, we get a call at 9:45 they have flat tire. Finally show up at 10:30am quote double the price. Would not recommend this company at all Responding to the owners long winded reply I must say he did everything but address the actual reason he got the bad review. One you did not show up for hours of your appointment, two your add was obviously misleading, three I never want anything for nothing but I will take your advice on one thing, I don't leave enough positive because my word of mouth sends many clients to those businesses which is how we all flourish in business. The bottom line is with your Long winded response to my review the fact remains you were hours late for the appointment then came off the truck with a ridiculous price. Just so you know not even 45 minutes later a different business came removed the garbage professionally, fast and made a profit not only on me but through word of mouth received three clients the same day from me. I rarely write reviews, and I would have given Power Cleanouts a good review had it not been for the way they handled the outcome of their work: one of the guys threw out a drawer of the vanity in one of the bathrooms, instead of simply emptying it. George, the manager, first said he would pay for the damaged vanity, then said he would see if an associate could "fix it". He even said, "I give you my word." Then he stopped returning our phone calls and text messages. The customer is a 94-year-old widow moving out of a house where she'd lived for 60 years. Shame on you, George. read more

Based on Yelp reviews and location, we decided to use these guys for some simple yard debris materials, as well as a tough project: getting two very old/rusted full-size fridges out of the basement of our home, with an extremely narrow staircase. Miguel and Ricky came to inspect and quote early in the morning to accommodate my work schedule. To my (pleasant) surprise, they said they would be able to take care of it that same morning. They gave me a reasonable quote, and bing bam boom, the fridges were out. Actually, it was quite a laborious process, and took some creative maneuvering to complete the job, and these guys handled it very well, without having to resort to a chainsaw. Power Cleanouts was the second company I came to for a clean out job. The first was hired by the estate sale people who ran a sale at my mom's house. That guy was HORRIBLE! He wanted to do the job over the course of a month and a half -- so he could sort through things and then resell them. Since it wasn't my money paying him, I agreed. Before the month was over, when practically NOTHING had been taken, he gave my mom's keys to a neighbor who brought in some friends and they literally trashed the place. End of working with him!! Power Cleanouts came into the house -- a two family home. Mom owned the house so she had stuff in the basement, on the second floor and the third (the attic) floors. There was over 60 years worth of accumulation (and my mom had loads of paperwork, clothes and "stuff". Yoan and his crew were easy to deal with; they came not just on time for our initial meeting; they were early. They were also on time the day of the actual clean out. They didn't complain and they worked extremely hard cleaning out the entire house in less than 1 1/2 days. All the guys were very nice to deal with. Compared to dealing with the first company who did practically nothing over the course of a month and a half, Power Cleanouts worked hard and cleaned out 5 1/2 trucks worth of stuff in less than two days. Earlier in the week, I called two other businesses and ended up playing phone tag with one of them for two days and the other one kept stringing me along for three days by saying "Someone will be there first thing in the morning" but no one would show up. I made the call to Power Cleanouts today and was told that someone would be here by 3:30-4:00. The PC men showed up a little EARLIER than promised which was even better for me! Both men were clean, courteous, and treated me respectfully. They were willing to negotiate a reasonable price with me without giving me a whole lot of BS. If I could give this company 10 stars I would. They came and gave an estimate the same day I called. They arrived early the next day and worked extremely hard and quickly. They cleaned up after themselves. And there was great communication throughout the entire project. The two guys who arrived for the estimate were very nice, straight forward and the two who arrived the day of the work were also extremely nice and very efficient. The truck pulled into our driveway and they worked from start to finish. Got it removed in a few hours. I cannot express how efficient Joe and Jesus were at removing about 2 tons of jackhammered cement and about 25ftx20ft of top mulch. Great price for excellent service. read more
