At the first appointment, Dr. Lynn gave me some background on the pelvis, what pregnancy can do to it, and other important aspects of alignment throughout one's life (pregnant or not). I've gotten biweekly alignments for a few months now. (I could have come in more frequently, but it's a bit too far for me.) I guess I'll never 100% know what it would have been like without her care, but I always feel a little better the next day. In addition, while the visits are brief, we always have a good conversation, and it is a pretty relaxing experience. I wish it was possible to get reminders the day before an appointment. Instead, I get reminder calls the same day, sometimes just an hour before I would leave my home. I wish there was a better system. I'd also recommend asking early for their package deals; I only learned about them after a few visits at the full price and maybe could have saved a little more money. That being said, I really appreciate Dr. Lynn and her staff and would recommend the practice, especially for pregnant patients.

I had been struggling with extremely poor sleep, waking every one to two hours due to constant, intense numbness from my groin down to my thigh. At times, the discomfort felt even worse than the surgical site itself. Catherine explained that my circulation was not optimal and used acupuncture to help redirect blood flow. I noticed a difference right away. That same night, my sleep improved from one- to two-hour stretches to about three hours at a time. By the next night, I was able to sleep for five hours straight--the best rest I've had in weeks. The numbness also began to shift. Instead of staying concentrated in my groin and thigh, it moved toward the back of my thigh and eventually down to my calf, which is much more tolerable. While acupuncture hasn't completely cured my symptoms, it has made a meaningful difference in both my comfort and sleep. The physical therapy helped me not to further injury my shoulder while it healed; alternatively, I would need surgery and follow-up PT.
