This medical group has gone was downhill over the last few years. I don't know if they are…read moreunderstaffed or what but everything moves in slow motion here. If you call to make an appointment expect to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to pick up the phone and when they do they are of no help what-so-ever. I waited over 6 hours to be seen in their urgent care on Saturday and on Monday, the urgent care doctor called me and told me to make a follow-up appointment with my primary care doctor and told me they set aside appointments just for this purpose and I should be able to get in that day or the following day. After more than 20 minutes of being on the phone I was advised that the soonest appointment with my doctor was 2 weeks out. I argued with the receptionist, then suddenly one week out was available. Frustrated, I drove all the way to my doctors office where the same receptionist offered me an appointment that day at 3pm with Dr. Tatum another doctor in my pcp's practice. Not wanting to wait another 3 hours, I decided to go back to urgent care. I told the receptionist I couldn't wait he smirks while the female receptionist next to him smiles and mocks me. What kind of gatekeeping bullshit is this? Push off your patients unless they are willing to drive to your office and see that absolutely no one is there and then offer an appointment? This experience made me realize this health group will not be there for me when I need them and now I'm looking for another health group to join. It's beyond frustrating though. I felt like I had a good relationship with my doctor but if they are going to hire terrible receptionists that don't care about their patients, its time to move on. I even spoke to a director there about my experience. I told the urgent care doctor what happened when I tried to make an appointment and she insisted I talk to the director, so I did. Outcome? nothing. Still can't get an appointment to see my doctor. Tomorrow I'm going to call my insurance provider and make a complaint. Not only am I being forced to make higher out of pocket costs, but my insurance carrier is being forced to pay more too.

The doctors can run very late though which is beyond frustrating, especially when it's consistent and nearly an hour. One star for the owners of this office though who prioritize profit over time spent with patients. The appointments are scheduled 10 minutes apart which is why the doctors are always late. The doctors are trying to be thorough and answer all questions, and unfortunately, this is why appointments run over and all the doctors are late. If the appointments were spread out more, this recurrent issue wouldn't happen

This was a while back. She's an eye-saving ophthalmologist who did wonders when no one else could -- not even my PCP nor ER doctors (with a CT scan when my primary doctor had said I needed to be seen ""STAT"). The woman Dr. Arun LITERALLY saved my vision. The staff got in right away. Dr. Arun rose above and was so calm and professional. Her demeanor made a huge difference. Her treatment was life-changing. (You take your vision for granted until something happens to the contrary, for which I am forever thankful to this skilled, gifted ophthalmologist.

At my August 26th appointment, my doctor explicitly told me--and their website confirmed--that I would receive my results in 2 to 3 days. When that timeframe passed with zero communication, I contacted Sharp, only to be informed that their in-house radiology department is currently 7 to 14 business days behind. I have been dealing with severe pain since that appointment and have an upcoming consultation with an orthopedist on the 8th. Because of this failure, I won't even have my basic radiology results to support my care or show my specialist. It is completely baffling and unacceptable that an in-house department can fall this far behind in modern healthcare. Shame on Sharp for failing their patients to this degree. If you have any alternative options, please go elsewhere--it is clear that things are only getting worse here.

Sure enough today a positive result came through with no comment from ANY KAISER Dr to explain sending me ONCE AGAIN to AI for answers. No on demand visit was available through the app or through member services so I await a more thorough analysis or unless my symptoms worsen. No PCP ( DR Busain???) commented in kp. org on what the results could mean, what I should do, what symptoms could mean to send me to urgent care ...I now am just waiting a lab result from a technician and do not believe that anyone at Kaiser really cares from Member Services to Primary Care about my actual health from that Rancho Bernardo building. This is negligence in my opinion. As a disabled senior I would not advise this facility to anyone.
