If you call to make an appointment expect to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to pick up the phone and when they do they are of no help what-so-ever. I waited over 6 hours to be seen in their urgent care on Saturday and on Monday, the urgent care doctor called me and told me to make a follow-up appointment with my primary care doctor and told me they set aside appointments just for this purpose and I should be able to get in that day or the following day. After more than 20 minutes of being on the phone I was advised that the soonest appointment with my doctor was 2 weeks out. I argued with the receptionist, then suddenly one week out was available. Frustrated, I drove all the way to my doctors office where the same receptionist offered me an appointment that day at 3pm with Dr. Tatum another doctor in my pcp's practice. Not wanting to wait another 3 hours, I decided to go back to urgent care. I told the receptionist I couldn't wait he smirks while the female receptionist next to him smiles and mocks me. What kind of gatekeeping bullshit is this? Push off your patients unless they are willing to drive to your office and see that absolutely no one is there and then offer an appointment? This experience made me realize this health group will not be there for me when I need them and now I'm looking for another health group to join. It's beyond frustrating though. I felt like I had a good relationship with my doctor but if they are going to hire terrible receptionists that don't care about their patients, its time to move on. I even spoke to a director there about my experience. I told the urgent care doctor what happened when I tried to make an appointment and she insisted I talk to the director, so I did. Outcome? nothing. Still can't get an appointment to see my doctor. Tomorrow I'm going to call my insurance provider and make a complaint. Not only am I being forced to make higher out of pocket costs, but my insurance carrier is being forced to pay more too.

One star for the owners of this office though who prioritize profit over time spent with patients. The appointments are scheduled 10 minutes apart which is why the doctors are always late. The doctors are trying to be thorough and answer all questions, and unfortunately, this is why appointments run over and all the doctors are late. Dr. Arun made the time today to see me on very short notice as a follow-up recommendation from Urgent Care to see Ophthalmology. Although Dr. Arun wasn't the on-call physician today, she saw me early. I am so grateful to her. Additionally, she alleviated my pain and suffering that I had after my Urgent Care visit. Dr. Arun patiently explained to me how the process works for my path going forward. She is such an exceptional doctor. I am very glad she accepted me today. Dr. Arun prescribed the correct Rx. And last minute cancellations and no one is covering them. The ADA parking is out of code with the federal and state mandates. So if that is something you need, plan for extra time to find a reasonable parking spot, bring a driver or use a ride share. Parking is atrocious for anyone needing ADA parking. This used to be the premiere health care, or at least second. And they are consistently slipping from that. The level of customer service at the front desk, the amount of time the doctors actually spend with you, makes me wonder if they have switched to a for profit healthcare system. Not horrible. Better than healthcare say in Alabama. But. There is a lot of room for improvement.

I really am not sure she has ever treated RA before. She arrived late. She spoke negatively. She was a waste of time. Have never had a rheum not do any examine on the joints on first interview. This review is for the billing department…read more The overcharged us and refused to refund us. 3 months after appointment they refuse to file claim to get their portion from my insurer, instead they keep sending bills to us. Care maybe okay but the rest of the experience is horrific. Update: we have reached out to raise this overpayment multiple times, each time we were told that the insurer needs to direct the refund. It is clear from our insurer's portal that we have overpaid, and yet the clinic refuse to refund.

We have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Wasson. Setting up her new account was also pretty easy over the phone. My son unfortunately had also come down with the flu while we were in San Diego, which was able to be tested and confirmed at this location with an easy sick visit. He had previously had an account created with another Children's Primary Care location so it was a breeze to schedule him on their online portal and was able to be seen the same day. We were seen by another great doctor. This location is also great in that they are open later some days during the week for extended hours. We are leaving SD now, but we would have been 100% happy to make this our primary care practice. Thank you for providing us with much needed medical care while we were displaced from the fires!
