Great location from Scripps Ranch, but the best part was getting my Lashes done by Cindy from ExtremeLashesbyCindy.com My skin is very sensitive and I've never had an issue when I get my Lashes done by Cindy. I'm so satisfied read more

I just got a brand new look with Ada, and I couldn't be happier! She was so professional and sweet, and what I appreciated was how she explained what she was doing and why, educating me along the way of what was needed for the look I desired. But what was probably the most amazing thing about Ada is her talent! I got balayage(sp?) with vibrant pinks and fuchsia colors, and her attention to detail (the shading from root to tip and all over) is amazingly specific and artistic! I am so thrilled to have found someone I can trust. I will definitely go back! I can't wait, in fact, to continue to work with her and update my looks, as desired! read more

I have been getting my hair done by Michael for as long as I can remember and I just love him. He not only makes me look beautiful 365 days a year but makes me feel beautiful on the inside. He listens, offers advise if needed, and makes me laugh. During these times feeling a little more beautiful and laughing a little more with others is the perfect recipe. Please don't hesitate to make an appointment with him if you are in need of a new look or just need help perfecting what you have. You will not be disappointed. read more

Mike has been doing my hair since he was at Blush in Poway. Poway Hair Studio is beautiful, clean, and very professional. I feel like I'm at a spa when I'm there:) Mike always does a beautiful job and listens to all of my concerns and needs and I always walk out of there feeling gorgeous and getting what I asked for. I would recommend him or anyone in the salon to anyone. They are all professional and are the best in the business (in my opinion). My whole family has been going to him for over 10 years. We love it! Cindy also works with Mike and has been waxing my eyebrows since I was in high school. She does an AMAZING job and is really gentle on my sensitive skin. She does my eyelash extensions and they always look natural and last a really long time. I can't say enough good things about this place, we are just so happy we found it! read more

Poway Hair Studio Alison Wolsey Alison gives the most professional, fabulous facial I've ever had. I've been getting facials for a long time . Never has my sensitive, acne prone skin responded so well to regular treatments. Alison uses natural, clean products that make my skin glow. Further, she never fails to give me a delightfully relaxing massage on my neck & shoulders. Not only is she a talented Master Esthetician but Alison has a heart of gold...I call her my skin angel. In reality she's more than that. Her gentle, kind spirit automatically helps me relax as soon as I arrive for my facial. I give Alison the highest recommendation possible. read more

Poway Hair Studio - A blow out - Hair Salons Near Me - Poway, California

I decided to treat myself to a massage, however, I didn't want to go to one of those places that give you a sales pitch to become a member. Or, I didn't want to go to one of these other joints that have super cheap massages by non-licensed individuals......and can be shady. I was looking for someone who knows what they are doing and generally cares about their clients. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to give Jo-Jo's massage therapist, Juli Groth, a try. You can actually book it online without even calling. So convenient. I was greeted by Juli with a genuine smile. She had me fill out paperwork on my health and what areas I would like to focus in on. She listens to your needs carefully and executes as directed. The massage was absolutely wonderful and I cannot wait to go back. I opted for an hour and a half massage which came to $100. Very reasonable. I highly recommend Juli!! read more

Such a beautiful salon! Clean, updated, and modern. Great location and plenty of parking. Mike did my hair and it turned out exactly as I asked. He gave me a few suggestions and I love it!! He's extremely knowledgeable when it comes to color. Maybe I'll try something new next time, I can't wait to go back. read more

Two times I called this place trying to get an appointment. One time I left a detailed message. The other time I spoke to someone who said he would call me back. All I needed was a wash a blowout and a trim my bangs. I know that that's not a lot of work. And even if I was I could have at least had a phone call back saying that they had no time for me or some thing, but silence is rude when you've tried to get a hold of someone two times. Seems sad that something as simple as a callback can't be accomplished. That to me definitely is not customer service and I will tell everybody read more

This place has been really great. The atmosphere is chic and super cute. There is a lot to look at. And a few items for purchase in the salon. They do just about everything! I came for color correction and highlights and am absolutely in love with the color. Leah fixed a layered cut and it's perfect. Can't wait to go back for lighter hair. My son is also going to see Alanna for some blue color! She is sweet and very creative. Also the owner Megan helped me find a potential sitter. All around great ladies and my new favorite place in my town of Poway!! read more

I've been going to Megan for my haircut/color for almost 15 years. So I was understandably sad when she moved out of state. I was a bit nervous to try someone new, but I trusted the stylist team Megan had in her salon. I should also mention that I usually have shorter hair and so a wrong cut can go really wrong, if you know what I mean short-haired girls! I just got my hair cut by Catarina and absolutely loved it! I was chopping off quite a bit to update my look and she totally nailed the look I wanted. I am so glad I found a new stylist I can continue to trust. read more

I've been searching for a new colorist and hair stylist for almost a year. I'm super picky on who touches my hair. I met Brandy through my fiancé and had the best experience ever! I showed her a picture of the color I wanted and told her I wanted to keep as much length as possible and get rid of my layers. The last person I trusted with my hair gave me terrible layers and uneven hair so I was exceptionally ecstatic when Brandy nailed exactly what I wanted!! Thank you for giving me hair happiness again Brandy!!! read more

I cant tell you what a talented addition to JoJos Alanna Dawn will be, she does amazing hair art! Since we went to high school together the moment I saw her Candy Strands page I was obsessed with making sure I was one of her clients (no, literally stalking her for a day lol! Jk) but her work is as close to perfection as It gets and even if it's just a natural look you want, her expertise in hair color as well as cuts in combination are stunning! Can't wait to post my transformation up! She rocks! If you're looking for fresh, new, natural, or bright color that isn't trashy, the exact opposite actually, you've found your girl! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. If you're just going for a wash and style, then sure go here. But do not trust them with a cut or color. I left the salon and tearsssssss because the cut and color Leah gave me. I left my hair in a pony tale for an entire week until I could get to another salon to have them fix it. Every time I put my hair down I started crying again because it was THAT bad. I am talking bad. It wasn't that she cut it too short, its that she literally screwed up my hair. Leah had told me about a hair cut that she wanted to do on me and I knew what she was describing was NOT what I wanted so I showed her 4 pictures of a hair cut that I DID want! Guess what hair cut she went with and I ended up with... not the one I wanted. I looked like I had a mullet! No joke. One side of my hair looked like an A-line and the other side had super short layers. This "haircut" was a haircut straight from hell. The color was a disaster too. I had a ton of breakage and what was supposed to be a "corrective color" ended up worse than what I came in with. I ended up going to Salon Ink downtown (AMAZING SALON) and they fixed my hair beautifully. We had to cut a long of length off in order to fix what Leah had done. Luckily the cut was so gorgeous that I was okay with having to cut off 4 inches to fix what JoJo's had done. I would never recommend this salon to anyone, not even someone I hate. The owner, Megan was also extremely unprofessional and rude. I asked for a refund and she wouldn't give it but offered to have me come in and have her fix it for free. I didn't take her up on the offer because quite frankly I never wanted to step back into that salon again. All in all, I paid $200 dollars for a HORRIBLE cut, color and customer service. But had I not had a bad experience I wouldn't have found Rodrigo at Salon Ink... So thanks JoJo's for helping me find an INCREDIBLE salon. read more

I love gettin' my hair did and these ladies do it right. Located in the heart of Poway on Midland Road, this sweet little salon has it all. I won't go anywhere else! My favorite stylist is Leesa. I can't write a review on the hair, cause i get my hair done elsewhere. However this was one of three places I was able to locate in the North County-ish area that does feather extensions and could pencil me in on the same day. https://i.imgur.com/lZdDbnz.jpg went against instructions and cut my hair way too short like I'm about to go join the military. Not sure what they were thinking or hearing. My hairdresser told me "I don't think it's too short" but the only way it was going to get shorter is if they took out the stubs of hair, because it was impossible to cut it any shorter with scissors or a razor. Also kept pushing my head around while telling me to stop moving my head. Going to take months to grow it back. Wouldn't come again even if they paid read more

I've been looking for a hair place to call "my own" for what seems like forever!!! And JoJos salon is everything I've ever wanted and more. Found them after a research-binging eternity followed by a ton of trial and error. I was able to make an appointment online and it was super easy and effective. Im usually weary of online scheduling systems because I've been burned before. When I arrived there was no question or confusion about my appointment and Alanna took me right away! The salon is so incredibly cute. A boutiquey, Pinterest wonderland, this place has awesome hair product placed all along the walls like art, have their own make up line out for testing & sale. I had a great time and ended up with results that I loved. I can't wait for my next appointment with her! It was comforting to know that Alanna was really into her profession, knew her stuff and was able to offer suggestions based on what she felt was best. She was nice, easy to talk to and I definitely enjoyed my time there. If you are thinking about getting your hair done in some crazy colors...or even natural coloring like mine was...you'll want to make an appointment with Alanna at JoJo's ASAP!
