Needless to say, because of the convenient location, this is my brother's go-to neighborhood grocery store and so I ended up coming here multiple times and this review is a culmination of all those visits. Overall, I found this Tesco to have really good parking, a good number of cashiers, and the produce and other sections are well - laid out. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a decent produce Sec although sometimes stuff was pretty expensive too. Also a massively huge frozen section where to my delight, I found frozen coconut milk that was product of Sri Lanka!! It's a wee bit expensive but the taste is delicious and well worth the extra pence! Overall good store and will continue to come here to do my grocery shop whenever am in the UK and visiting my brother. Yelp 11/ 2019

Prices up and down like a yo-yo, some time it's £21.00 or £21.50 then 3.50 off saying it's discount and a good deal yet small outlet shops sell the same at a constant price of £ 16.00 Rip off 2 Family size KP peanuts .. discontinued and replaced by smaller packets close to the same price. When asked manager said it's a health drive to help people reduce salt content?? Other stores sell the family packs. In the centre of Rugby town, we have a shopping precinct called the clock towers, named after our…read morebeautiful clock tower which stands proud in the centre of town, and is a sort of a legend around rugby, everyone tends to meet there, either for shopping or when you go out in the evening, the taxi rank and all the bus stops are dotted around it also along with the hundreds of pigeons, whom all stop there waiting for the children to drop bits of their cakes or sweeties, or for a stray chip or bit of sandwich that gets dropped from the locals whom buy and have their lunch from the takeaway caravan type things that are based their. There are three takeaway stands based around the bottom of the Clock tower, one being a jacket potatoes stand, one being a burger van and another being a sandwich van. I would defiantly recommend the spuds, they are delicious and although quite large in size, they still manage to be extremely competitive in process, a spud with butter and coleslaw is 1.40 which in my opinion is a bargain. Anyway Inside the precinct we have a varied amount of shops, such as Thornton's, Wilkinson's, Argos, Poundland, Dunelm Mill, boots, Superdrug, New Look etc etc, all are the same standard in which you would get in other towns, so nothing out of the ordinary, but a good varied bunch for all shoppers. The precinct also tend to have some little market type stalls such as a lovely traditional sweet stand, a glass and crystal artist, jewellery stand and they also tend to vary these stands throughout the year, which is nice, especially at Christmas time, where they had a lovely stand with nick naks that were all personalised for e.g. stockings, hairbrushes, room signs, mirrors etc. They also have a few eatery options for shoppers; they have a bb's, baker's oven, subway, all again at the same type of standard as you would imagine for these types of chain places. There is also a café on the second floor of the precinct that although is very basic in décor, sort of a greasy spoon style café, it actually caters to all different tastes and is very nice, it seems to be a favourite haunt for the over 60's, probably because of all their specials on oap's and early bird specials etc. On a Wednesday they do a gorgeous shepherds pie and vegetables, with a mug of tea of coffee for a fiver, my Nan and granddad often go up there for a treat on a Wednesday bless them. The precinct is very clean and has good access to all stores for both the disabled and double pushchairs etc, there are plenty of bins around and tends too be quite a nice place to shop. There are always security guards around that are very friendly and helpful to all shoppers that need some assistance but also are very good at stopping the youth spoiling the precinct for all. The only complaint I have about the precinct is the scarcity of toilets, there is one toilet on the bottom floor only accessible to the disabled and then all the rest along with the baby changing facilities are on the third floor, so it's a nightmare when your three year old shouts I need a poo poo in the middle of Wilkinson's when your arms are full of shopping and you have to grab them and do a sprint up to the elevators and then go up three floors and then do another sprint along the corridors to the toilet - complete nightmare. I can remember doing this when I was pregnant as well, and let's just say I got there only just in the nick of time!! And then had to lie down for a week to recover from my Linford Cristie style sprint Overall though, I think that this shopping centre is very sufficient for the locals, its not the sort of centre that I would obviously travel to for a great shopping experience.

Although we have visted them a few times especially when they have certainoffers on. I have to say though i do like the shopping experience there, they are never as busy as it gets in tesco's, so is much easier to shop around and they tend to always have the the things you need on the shelves. I love there clothes range for the children, TU.. especially when they have their sales on, i went down there last summer and got about five outfits for my little girl for around 20 pound in their sale, really good and also they wash gorgeous. I also love going there for the half priced toy sale which they have just before christmas is absolutly great and it really helped me out this year. My husband is a chef and he loves there range of vegtables and fruits and he says they are much fresher than tesco', not sure if this is in fact true, but ill take his word for it. The store is always very clean, and the staff are very helpful, in fact i have to admit they seem to be a lot more friendly and helpful than tesco's but this may be due to the fact that they are a lot quieter, so have the time to provide the customer service they do. They also have a nice cafe, which apparently my son advises me does the yummiest jelly in the whole wide world!!! easily pleased is my son. I love there curry counter also, they do some great deals, and my hubby approves of their barhjis and samosas. good store even if a little pricey.

Icelands in Rugby is based in the clock towers shopping precinct that is in the centre of town…read more It is best to get to the store through the entrance near the large new look store and opposite halifax. The store has a good entrance, is very wide and is great for prams , trolleys etc. all the trolleys and baskets are stored at the front of store which is ideal, although I must admit im not keen on the trolleys, they are those ones with the big poles coming from them, so you can not take them out of the store, and this is a pain , if you are wanting to get the groceries to your car, although im lucky as i do not shop here often. As fare as Icelands goes, its lots of pre packaged chep food as you would imagine for the chain, and although im by no means a snob, its not my fav of stores, although i do visit now and again, for party type frozen food, or sometimes at xmas. The thing most people like at Icelands, is mostly all items are rounded to the pound, so people can easily add up what they are spending as they are shopping. The food range from well known brands to thier own brand, and its very much the same as other supermarkets in respect that its very hit and miss when it comes to their own brands, some things can be nice and others can be horrible. I like the desserts and gateux's, and also they do some gorgeous barbeque chicken portions that are fanastic. Its not where i would do my weekly shop, A. because i like choice and variety that i get at the bigger supermakets but B beacuse i have children, and i like my children to have fresh produce and freshly cooked meals and try and be careful with the mount of chemicals we put into our bodies.
