The staff consist of three great chaps whom are so funny and make me giggle everytime i go in, they are slightly eccentric and i do not know how the mangeress puts up with them!! but they are great and very friendly and always rememebr what i have, they also always chat to my two children whom also love the shop. I love the fact every christmas day for the last six years i have ran up there to buy batteries for the toys i have forgot to purchase batts for and there they are open and ready for buisness - bless them. They do a wide range of foods and basically its like a mini tescos they also do some bargains and offers that i tend to always take advantage of. The store is always spotlessly clean, very well managed and i enjoy going there. The post office service they provide also is very good and the two ladies whom run this are great especially when i go up with big bags of ebay parcels, they are always jolly and helpful and im very grateful of this service. Great store that provides a very good service to the local community.

Im not a regular at sainsburys, as i find there prices higher than unfortunatly my family can…read moreafford each month. Although we have visted them a few times especially when they have certainoffers on. I have to say though i do like the shopping experience there, they are never as busy as it gets in tesco's, so is much easier to shop around and they tend to always have the the things you need on the shelves. I love there clothes range for the children, TU.. especially when they have their sales on, i went down there last summer and got about five outfits for my little girl for around 20 pound in their sale, really good and also they wash gorgeous. I also love going there for the half priced toy sale which they have just before christmas is absolutly great and it really helped me out this year. My husband is a chef and he loves there range of vegtables and fruits and he says they are much fresher than tesco', not sure if this is in fact true, but ill take his word for it. The store is always very clean, and the staff are very helpful, in fact i have to admit they seem to be a lot more friendly and helpful than tesco's but this may be due to the fact that they are a lot quieter, so have the time to provide the customer service they do. They also have a nice cafe, which apparently my son advises me does the yummiest jelly in the whole wide world!!! easily pleased is my son. I love there curry counter also, they do some great deals, and my hubby approves of their barhjis and samosas. good store even if a little pricey.

This shop is located in a massive shopping center and so plenty of parking albeit sometimes perhaps not as close to the store as you'd prefer. The store itself is well set- up. You walk in, and it's clothes up front, with groceries and food at the rear of the ground floor. My brother told me the Food hall is upstairs, but I didn't visit it at this occasion. I think the purchase I'm most excited about here was when I found a small bottle of tamarind paste (and with no extra weird sounding ingredients!). Also their corn chips are excellent. I also wanted to purchase a small cake for my co-worker's bday but couldn't find the cake section. There was a bloke in the baking section so I went over to him and said, "Excuse me, can I ask for some help?" It was funny cause the first thing he said to me was, " Sorry, yeah, of course." And that struck me as funny and I was like, "um there's really nothing to be sorry about?" :-) anyway he helped me with making a nice Cake choice and so it was a good shopping experience. So why the 4 stars instead of 5? Cause I purchased an amazing tasting honey and ginger yogurt from the M&S brand, and then when I checked ingredient list, it was like, what the heck is cornflour doing in my yogurt? Clifton stores is a great little village shop, situated in the heart of the village, just off the…read moreclifton road that leads from the town centre . I really like this store they do many little things that i sometimes pop in especially for such as; home made cakes logs for my chimnea and log burning stove the big sacks of potatoes home made produce and local fresh produce. They also do everything else you would expect for a local shop, sweets, chocolate, milk, bread, drinks, lottery etc etc. But its so quaint and the man whom owns the store is a cracker.he is so friendly and really helpful. Its situated just opposite the village pub and school and next door to the post office and i think the reason he survives is i think he probally gets a lot of passing trade that go through his village to the other village such as yelvertoft and newton etc and also to brownsover. The prices are very reasonable and especially since its such a small village store i think they manage to stay quite competetive. I reccomend this store as i think its very important for the local community to support the local buisnesses and stores like this as there is not many left.

The store has a good entrance, is very wide and is great for prams , trolleys etc. all the trolleys and baskets are stored at the front of store which is ideal, although I must admit im not keen on the trolleys, they are those ones with the big poles coming from them, so you can not take them out of the store, and this is a pain , if you are wanting to get the groceries to your car, although im lucky as i do not shop here often. As fare as Icelands goes, its lots of pre packaged chep food as you would imagine for the chain, and although im by no means a snob, its not my fav of stores, although i do visit now and again, for party type frozen food, or sometimes at xmas. The thing most people like at Icelands, is mostly all items are rounded to the pound, so people can easily add up what they are spending as they are shopping. The food range from well known brands to thier own brand, and its very much the same as other supermarkets in respect that its very hit and miss when it comes to their own brands, some things can be nice and others can be horrible. I like the desserts and gateux's, and also they do some gorgeous barbeque chicken portions that are fanastic. Its not where i would do my weekly shop, A. because i like choice and variety that i get at the bigger supermakets but B beacuse i have children, and i like my children to have fresh produce and freshly cooked meals and try and be careful with the mount of chemicals we put into our bodies.
