This Tesco is really well located to my brother's house and a lovely 5 min walk thru his community…read morepark brings you to a footpath by the river Avon, from which you get to the huge parking lot for this store. Needless to say, because of the convenient location, this is my brother's go-to neighborhood grocery store and so I ended up coming here multiple times and this review is a culmination of all those visits. Overall, I found this Tesco to have really good parking, a good number of cashiers, and the produce and other sections are well - laid out. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a decent produce Sec although sometimes stuff was pretty expensive too. Also a massively huge frozen section where to my delight, I found frozen coconut milk that was product of Sri Lanka!! It's a wee bit expensive but the taste is delicious and well worth the extra pence! Overall good store and will continue to come here to do my grocery shop whenever am in the UK and visiting my brother. Yelp 11/ 2019

Prices up and down like a yo-yo, some time it's £21.00 or £21.50 then 3.50 off saying it's discount and a good deal yet small outlet shops sell the same at a constant price of £ 16.00 Rip off 2 Family size KP peanuts .. discontinued and replaced by smaller packets close to the same price. When asked manager said it's a health drive to help people reduce salt content?? Other stores sell the family packs. Rip off 3 Schweepes slimline tonic water, no sugar ,sweeteners, nothing harmful at all, discontinued and replaced by crap schweepes tonic water non slimline with 5.1sugar and sweeteners .. yet now only sell slimline in small tin multiple packs at ,£4 a time. Although we have visted them a few times especially when they have certainoffers on. I have to say though i do like the shopping experience there, they are never as busy as it gets in tesco's, so is much easier to shop around and they tend to always have the the things you need on the shelves. I love there clothes range for the children, TU.. especially when they have their sales on, i went down there last summer and got about five outfits for my little girl for around 20 pound in their sale, really good and also they wash gorgeous. I also love going there for the half priced toy sale which they have just before christmas is absolutly great and it really helped me out this year. My husband is a chef and he loves there range of vegtables and fruits and he says they are much fresher than tesco', not sure if this is in fact true, but ill take his word for it. The store is always very clean, and the staff are very helpful, in fact i have to admit they seem to be a lot more friendly and helpful than tesco's but this may be due to the fact that they are a lot quieter, so have the time to provide the customer service they do. They also have a nice cafe, which apparently my son advises me does the yummiest jelly in the whole wide world!!! easily pleased is my son. I love there curry counter also, they do some great deals, and my hubby approves of their barhjis and samosas. good store even if a little pricey.

The issue with the Tescos is that unless you come at the start of the day after they have completed…read morea fruitful stocking night the shelves will be half empty, it will be mind-bogglingly busy and there may be stuff everywhere. However as this place is so huge you'll probably still find what you are looking for. Since I've lived in Oxford I've come here about a dozen or so times. We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. PROS: Large selection Good quantity of stock Price CONS: Gets ultra busy Leftover stock can be of bad quality Other side of the ring road.

It's got a huge range of items, although no adult clothing (other than underwear) or much in the way of electronics/media/toys, unlike even bigger stores. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Staff are friendly and helpful, and offers on food are good value.

This supermarket is one of my favourite independent places to shop, based in the heart of Soho…read moreRoad. I try and shop here every 2 - 3 weeks, and the discounted prices on shopping to be had in here, are gob-smackingly good! The ideal place to get all your authentic ingredients for that all special curry and what not. I buy all of my asain, Indian ingredients in here and more. The small packets of spices are convenient and the cheapest that you can get! Everything from the Basmati Tilda rice, flour, nuts, great juices, tea, snacks, lentils, oils, juices, cereals, shop here first. You'll be hooked, with famous brands it's a shame they don't offer some kind of reward scheme! My tip, try the bags of 'Paneer' in the fridge section, on your right when you walk in (past the big bags of onions....) at £3.99. Fry into a tomato curry, just delightful and beats takeaway food. I find I always fill my trolley shopping in here. The prices ARE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN GET! They close early on Wednesdays and only the far till on your right accepts debit cards. They even have free asian newspapers for you to take away, if you can read them. What makes this place extra special is staff at the door will look after your shopping bags and give you a numbered ticket whilst you shop and browse! 1 Hour free car parking is available for shoppers, there after, it's £1 per hour. Enjoy. A great gem and a much valued and appreciated store for all communities.

Only if I am in Handsworth and am desperate to buy Indian ingredients. There are closer green grocer stores that have Indian spices and plus there are high retail stores that sell Indian ingredients needed for making curries. But the prices at S&D Supermarket are excellent and they won't be beaten anywhere else. From tea to Indian snacks and savouries to cereals, these are some of the things you can buy from this supermarket. This is an excellent store for the locals and those living in Birmingham. To top it all off, the staff are top class here and they will help you out. If you do need guidance on any of the products at this supermarket, they will be there. There is car parking on-site and parking will be free for an hour. After that you will be charged £1 for every hour.
