Yes the product range is reduced somewhat as you cant fit as much into the space but for what it does sell which there is a lot you can get some fab deals. Again the store sell the usual groceries along with cds/dvd's/games and technology with tvs mobiles and mp3 players. Always a good store to go to if you dont want to drive to the ricoh. There were 3 door on the street but none of them seemed to be open or working. So I had to go around the corner to find a main door. This is a rather compact version of the usually large Superstore, but has everything your average student will need: beer, crisps, pizza. Very close by to the University and centrally located in the city for easy access for all the residents. All the tills were open and busy when I went, which is good to see as that means rapid and easy service. Rivals, I would say, are the Tesco which is also nearby.

Less of a selection of things such as homewares, but if it's basic groceries you want they have everything really, even the more random things usually reserved for larger stores. The only qualm I have is the car park is not next to the store but off down the road, and the footpath can't accommodate 2 trolleys, so can be a bit of a mare passing! Still, not really Tescos fault there. Handy, has self serve checkouts and is always quiet.

They have a kiosk as you enter that you can pay at for a few items but is designed for papers magazines sandwiches drinks or cigarette shoppers. The staff are friendly. This store is good for a small shopping trip and the smaller size does mean you can get around quicker than going to a much larger store

There is a cafe but the times I have grabbed something to eat there it has been very disappointing and really only good for a cuppa if you are parched. The customer toilets are well maintained. There is a petrol station onsite and recycling facilties in the car park.

It does make you want to take a drinks break! Once in store there is the usual Tesco wide range, well laid out and with helpful staff.
