I love Tesco stores but I am becoming increasingly concerned re the purchase of ready made cakes in…read morethe bakery section. Out of date goods on the shelves, the first was a lemon drizzle cake 2 days out of date, the second was a birthday cake my daughter bought for her daughter, a working mum found the Harry Potter cake and it was only when she went to serve it and opened the box, realised it was out of date. Both these items were bought to be used on the same day as purchase. Very disappointed little girl. The first item returned received a response of 'sorry about that' as did the second. No assurance that the bakery section would be checked and staff asked to ensure stock rotation and removal of goods passed their use by dates . I worked for Tesco as a bakery supervisor a lifetime ago and we would have been in serious trouble if out of date stock was on the shelves,now it is shrugged off as normal. Very sad. Come on Tesco restore some confidence, check your shelves, remove out of date stock, customers shouldn't have to check dates of products - that's your job.

I like going to Morrisons because it is so different from other stores and I like the range of choices there are but thats where my fondness for the place ends. I have found the staff sometimes rude and very often moody and although the food from the instore cafe is lovely I was put off by the amount of dust on the artificial flower display on each table.

They also offered their help with the shopping, going to get items from their storage and offered free coffee from Nero Cafe. They deserve as much recognition as the NHS staff, helping the public even though people have become rude to them at times and the work has become extremely intense and unsafe. We will remember your hard work and courage when the pandemic is over. Five stars!

There was a leak in the ceiling recently and it was left dripping into buckets in an aisle for days! The staff regularly talk to each other when they are meant to be serving you at the tills and seem disinterested. It has a handy kiosk near the entrance if you want to pop in to get a newspaper or lottery ticket but that really is the only good feature about this place. Fruit and veg is cheaper than anywhere else in the area but sometimes looks a little worse for wear. We also managed to purchase a bottled salad dressing that was a month out of date too! Luckily we noticed and took it back before we had eaten any. Our money was refunded. There is parking behind the store, but beware the chavs who use this as a social area!
