They seem to have a lot more variety and seems to be better stocked much more like a larger supermarket. It doesn't carry the clothing range, but otherwise it is very good. They stock some of the less popular magazines etc and their baking section is excellent. The check out process also seems to be a lot more efficient now too. It is very handy to be able to pop in if you are in town.

Open 24 hours a day Mon - Sat and open on Sunday. If you love Tescos this is well laid out, bright and carries all stock ranges. There is now an ordering point for Tesco Direct and a new cafe run by Costa Coffee. Parking is a bit of a mare as it is always busy. Allow a bit of a walk. On site petrol station.

Set on the northern outskirts of Northampton in Kingsthorpe this Waitrose was redeveloped a few years. It's now a great size with lovely wide isles for you to potter about in. The food, as you would expect, is good quality. It stocks everything you would want to see. It has a good in store deli, bakery and fishmongers. There is also a cafe where you can get lovely, if expensive food. The loos are good too. If you're an account holder you can scan your trolley as you go around and then pay at a separate point. Your kids will love the tiny trolleys they can push around. They'll also love to do the weighing of the food and veg for you! There's a big car park and you can park for a few hours to shop at the other stores around Kingsthorpe. There are plenty of bargain shops around to balance yout spending after a blow out here!

It…read moresells a massive range of the usual food and drink, but it also sells luggage, magazines, gardening items, clothes and has a huge toys and games section and a huge electrical section too which is as big as a shop itself. The electrical section sells everything from ipods to TVs and all household things such as toasters and kettles.The prices are really good too. I did experience a really long wait once when I was trying to purchase an electrical item as they couldn't find the one I wanted in the warehouse. It does get really busy in this branch and the checkouts always have queues, but they do their best and most of the checkouts are usually open along with the self service ones. There is free parking at Weston Favell centre so you don't need to worry about how long you spend in there either.

was once listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest supermarket in the UK, & in recent…read moreyears has been extended, this imposing store is the main draw of Weston Favell Shopping Centre (which, as a whole, is owned by Tesco PLC) you can buy almost everything here open 24 hours (except Sunday) it can get busy at peak times, & smaller trolley's can be in short supply, so it is advisable to grab one from the car park rather than rely on there being one in-store the store contains a post office, an opticians (my wife used the optician & wasn't impressed by the eye test), a pharmacy, well maintained toilets, & a LARGE selection of non-food products i've only marked it with 2 stars as the car park isn't the easiest to manouver around, as it's busy you often have to park some distance from the entrance, & due to it's size & popularity, the shopping experience isn't pleasant
