Smash Burger: decent…read more The patty is thin, the edges are crispy, the sauce is on the sweeter side and the pickles are sweet as well. It's a decent sweeter-tasting Smash Burger. It's overall a good small-medium sized burger but nothing too crazy. Poutine: very good The fries are perfectly cooked (lightly browned and still has that good starchy consistency). The sauce is very fancy; it's a light brown gravy with a very small hint of spiciness, and the main/most pronounced flavor is a herby oregano flavor. It's a very herby-tasting gravy. It's a poutine that I would expect to eat at a restaurant with a unique fancy gravy. The cheese is perfect, good decent size chunks that actually squeak. The people and service are welcoming. Overall, a very nice spot. If you're craving a well-made fancy poutine that's on the lighter side, with a burger on the side, definitely give it a shot.

Found out about this place while browsing through the "Burger Quebec" facebook group. The owner…read moreposts beautiful mouthwatering photos of greasy burgers, poutines and cheesy fries on that group. So much so, I was thinking about it all week and had to check it out. We went around noon on a Saturday, luckily were able to find a spot to sit. This restaurant is very small and narrow, there are about 20 seated places, most of them at the bar. Better to grab and go as the atmosphere is noisy and cramped. We tried the "tit double" double cheeseburger, the chili burger, patty melt and sides of chili fries and "cantine" fries which had queso and big mac style sauce. Food is delicious, greasy, salty, well seasoned and fresh, fast to order and receive. The "tit" short for "petit" (small) double cheeseburger was definitely on the smaller side, for around $8.75 a decent price, but I was expecting something kind of monstrous and decadent by the photos. The burger is smaller than it looks compared to similar places. The fries are perfect for sharing. I noticed in Google reviews some people mentioned the fries were overdone, kind of burnt or crispy. I did notice this as well, however perhaps this is done for a reason. As most of their french fry dishes are covered in sauces, like poutine, chili, or queso, a slighter firmer crisper fry will hold its shape better and won't result in a soggy mess. Ideal for take out as you can still enjoy the texture of the potato minutes later. I would come back to try some of their other smash burgers but taking a star away for the location and comfort factor. There is only street parking, and such limited seating that you can't come in large groups or truly enjoy a sit down experience.

Miami Deli gives a good family vibe. The servers are kind, and the dishes are huge…read more Whoever was in charge of decorating this place exceeded expectations. Miami Deli removes you from the concrete Montreal streets and plunges you into a tropical eatery, which gave me flashbacks to restaurants in Acapluco in the 90s. The dishes are big, so watch out for those hungry eyes; they may betray you. As vast as the food can get, their kitchen is not as memorable. I had some fried calamari and a fish filet with almonds. The calamari were not different from the ones you can get in a pub. The fish was decent and saved the day. I would say that this place must be good for having drunk or hangover food. The service and quantity will make you happy. Their kitchen, not so much. I recommend it but with a grain of salt.

This was our first meal in Montreal and we were nervous about not speaking French but it was not a big deal here. The whole place just had a quiet, friendly vibe. If we lived here this would be "our" usual go-to, I think! The poutine was excellent (and even reheated well the next day!), the fries by themselves excellent, and my daughter said she had the best Caesar salad ever here. My husband enjoyed their burger and I loved their club sandwich. Everything felt fresh and prepared with care. We will definitely return on this trip!
