Decided to try benny again. But since I don't trust the one near my house anymore after multiple…read morebad order, I drove to this one. First, the place itself. We can see this place is new. It has ev charging station (2, didn't saw any place to pay just plug and charge and clearly marked as customer friendly) which is very nice. The place has a bar (never saw one in a benny before) and it use little disc when you order to dine in that you put on a spot on the table and they know where you are. This allow them to bring you food at your table easily. There is 4 big tv with a portion of the menu that often get replace with ads. I hate when they do that, it slow down ordering cause the customer can't look at the menu anymore. I asked for a physical menu and it had more choice than what the tv was offering. I took a club with brown meat and brown bread and 12 mozzarella sticks. First the sticks. It's much more like bites, it's very small but good. The club itself is way better than what I had at my other benny but still feels very empty. Especially when comparing to clubs from scores that are so full, it was pretty thin. It reminded me of st-Hubert club but better. But at least, it had brown bread something the other place is always out. I'm not sure I got brown meat but that's not a big problem. It came with fries, coleslaw and sauce. We also took the chicken Cesar wraps. It was good. Came with fries and coleslaw. All in all, this benny was way better than my benny near my house, staff was very friendly and answered perfectly the question we had and food was prepared very fast. The star lost if because of the club having like half of it with meat, very thing, don't try to find the tomatoes. It could be way better for the same price.

We were looking for Portuguese chicken and stumble upon Brazas Portugal a few years ago…read more It is a restaurant located in old st rose which is close to home. We did take out of their family combo (chicken, fried rice, fries, salad). And let me tell you, it is now our go to place for Portuguese craving!!! Their chicken is tasteful, moist!! Love their fries! The portions are generous, so that we often have leftover and it is still good the next day when heated. We recommended the restaurant to family and friends who are now regularly ordering from Brazas Portugal. Good friendly customer service :)

The ambiance is pretty dim with warm colors that set a nice mood for those of you who enjoy that intimate or romantic setting. We were promptly seated in the back, warm and far away from the cold winter harshness and isolated well enough so our conversation was kept private. After some contemplation we went with the 'Prato de Carnes' (meat platter!) which consisted of chicken, portuguese sausages and pork. While we waited we were provided with a huge warm bread bun which we promptly ravaged. After 15 minutes or so, our meal was served in a huge plate filled with delicious looking meats and a side plate with french fries with homemade mayo. Let me just state that the chicken was out of this world good, so much so it completely surpassed everything else. The moistness.... THE MOISTNESS PEOPLE!... and the taste... BY GAWD the TASTE!!!! I must go back just for this! The sausages, they were good... but completely forgettable after tasting that chicken... the pork? an afterthought!! The chicken folks... the chicken!!!! Why are you still reading this? The side fries were good as well... and the home mayo were delicious... they should provide it in a bigger bowl though. :) For dessert, we went with Portuguese tarts... they were pretty tasty. The price-tag is about average and worth it. The service was decent as well. All in all, somewhere I'd def go back.

Normally one would have to go all…read morethe way down to Montreal around Rachel street to find good Portuguese food of this caliber but somehow this establishment is located in the quaint neighborhood of Boisbriand. Located is small and relatively easy to miss but clearly not worth missing. Interior is clean with a busy owner working on many delivery/pick-up orders and serving in-house patrons. Portuguese themed decorations with cute plates glued on the roof, Portuguese accessories along the walls and a huge bar you can eat at and watch the action in progress. I went with their quarter chicken with side fries and salad. The chicken was moist and tasty..... just as I'd expect a competent Portuguese place to provide me with with a great charcoal grill. What really knocked my socks off was how fantastic the fries were! Literally the best fries I have ever eaten. Perfectly prepared and then covered in their household secret blend of 17 spices.... these fries are literal taste-bud heaven! Portion size is generous, it's a huge plate. Along with my meal, I had a Sumol Passion fruit drink and a Pastel de Nata. I love Sumol (imported from Portugal) and it compliments this food perfectly. The Pastel de Nata was really good as well and I liked it so much I ordered a dozen to go to share at work. They were a big hit and I ended up going back to Escudo Express with some co-workers so they can enjoy what I experienced. They loved the chicken and freaked out how good the fries were. Everyone was delighted on how great the food is. Price-tag is reasonable, value is very high. I recommend their chicken, fries and Pastel de Nata. This place is truly a hidden gem on Montreal's north shore. Owner is direct yet friendly and funny. We enjoyed our time here and plan to go back.
