Quintessential Hotdog! Pott's Doggie Shop is a classic hometown fixture. The right order is two with everything and a chocolate milk!

Prices for hot dogs are little high but best ones in town. They are kid friendly and now take credit now for some time.

Exceptional as always…read more Denise took care of us, as well as the bartender, in their cool yet warm, modern establishment. The food is always exceptional. In a nutshell, the chef caters to flavor, and balanced flavor at that, which makes each dish phenomenal. I had the grilled octopus appetizer and it is the best octopus I have had since 1989. That is no lie. Their shell and cheese, small beet salad, hummus, and fall risotto special are equally fantastic in their own right. Enjoy the food, drinks, and quiet atmosphere. Whether small plates, entrees, or desserts, you have come to the right place. One of my top restaurants in eastern-Pennsylvania.

It's open Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. My friend and I made our first visit early Friday evening. The service was good, and the food more than lived up to expectations. We started with tender, well-seasoned beef skewers, crispy buffalo wings over blue cheese, and perfectly cooked roasted cauliflower paired with a tasty tzatziki sauce and pickled onion. For my entree, I ordered the maple-glazed short rib. It was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and came with creamy sweet potato puree and roasted shallots. My friend ordered the rich, deeply flavorful bolognese. Although she received the small plate portion rather than the entree, it wasn't a major issue as we had more than enough food. There are still many items on the menu I'd like to try, and after such a strong first visit, I'll most certainly be back.

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

To get you to try new things, they'll even toss in freebies on larger orders and those never disappoint either (and it works, I've ordered those things other times). Cumin 'n Eat serves excellent Indian food. The food is consistently hot, fresh, high-quality, and…read morevery well seasoned. The flavors are clearly prepared with care. The people are also friendly, which makes the experience feel welcoming. That said, there are a few things that would make the dining experience much better. On our last visit, our group waited nearly 30 minutes for the food to arrive. During that time, the table was completely empty except for water and place settings. When food is going to take longer than usual, it would make a big difference to bring something small to the table, even pappadums or another light starter, just to keep guests happy and occupied. It would also help if someone came over to apologize, give an update, and let guests know how much longer the food may take. Also, the cold plastic plates should really be upgraded. They feel cheap and tacky, and hot food should not be served onto cold plastic plates. Real plates would immediately improve the presentation and overall dining experience. The main dining room could use more warmth and charm. Right now, it feels a bit sparse and not especially cozy. But the room you first enter is in much greater need of attention. Honestly, it feels rather depressing to eat in that area. It would not have to break the bank to make it warmer and more inviting. A little decor, better lighting, warmer colors, or even a few thoughtful touches would go a long way. Right now, it just feels like very little effort was made in that space and that it's just a path to the cash register. One final suggestion: when it is time to pay, please do not stand over guests while they review the bill and decide on a tip. It feels uncomfortable. Either leave the device on the table or bring a paper bill first, then return when the guest is ready. Overall, the food is very good and the people are friendly. With a few service and atmosphere improvements, Cumin 'n Eat could offer a much better full dining experience. Our family really loves the food so kudos to the great chefs!

So this is a review, 13 years in the making…read more I used to work in the Allentown area and one of my coworkers suggested stopping for lunch. I had passed Cali Burrito several times but didn't know much about it. My life was forever changed. My tried and true order is the 'Humbolt". It's perfect in every way and it appeases to vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I have turned several of my friends, family and coworkers on to Cali Burrito over the years. Id like to mention I lived in San Diego and the burritos in Allentown, Pa far exceeded any burrito found in the Golden State. I now live in Virginia Beach area and my love for Cali Burritos knows no distance. Yesterday, I had to take a drive into the area and you better believe I stopped in for a burrito. 720 miles, round trip and worth every mile.

I finally managed to get my car in Cali's parking lot. But, I had to wait for another patron (which…read moredidn't take long) to arrive and I followed them into the restaurant. It's not easy to figure out where the enrtance is. Okay, so I ordered the the ground beef tacos for $12 bucks. You get 2 tacos in a basket with tortilla chips. The chips are a bit weird and different, still not sure how much I liked them. Like Moe's, they have a salsa bar with 4 salsa choices along with various condiments. The salsa's are tasty and I like the flavor in all 3 I tried. I ordered tacos and what they brought to my table resembled a tacos, but the taco expectation ended there. These so called tacos, to me, aren't realy tacos at all. Their assembelled usinf both a hard shell and a soft shell (Taco Bell offers something similar). Whatever you call it, taco is not the thought that comed to mind when eating it. I was hungry and did manage to eat both of the tacos, but considered throwing out the 2nd taco. I was confused and unsure what I was eating. The ground beef wasn't bad, but my main complaint at a Mexican Eatery nearby (Plaza Azteca} is the same. The ground beef is unseasoned. This is fundamentally wrong to me. All the Taco Kits at the grocery store come with a seasoning packet to add to the ground beef when preparing the tacos. I left unhappy, that's not to say I wouldn't try their burrito's. They looked good as seen on other patrons tables. I'm 70 years old and the theme of Cali reminds me of the 60's/70's. The decor, interior, and interior are psychedelic. Retro throwback to the hippie days. The staff reflects that theme - they came across in a kind weird way to me; but not in a bad way! Their is no shortage of happy campers enjoying their lunch (I went at 1PM). It seems like a cult following which speaks to the freshness and quality of the food served. I'm still unsure what was in the alleged tacos I ate. Lol!

Moist inside with a crisp outer shell. Then the crispy calamari. A peppery batter and the inside was tender, not chewy. The portions for this were perfect, not too much, but a fair appetizer size. I finished off with the shrimp teriyaki. This was served on a bed of shredded vegetables and a side of rice. It had everything to be a good dish, but the sauce was lacking and tasted like a watered down teriyaki with pepper. I just wasn't here for it, but if you like an extremely mild teriyaki then it might be for you! Service: The waitress was attentive and even stopped by to refill my water. I really enjoy when they stop a few times so if you are needing extra sauce or condiments you can request them. Overall an ok experience. Ambiance: The atmosphere was different than I had expected. Dark walls with blue lights all over. The lighting was too dark for my personal taste and I'd prefer a classic white or candlelight style lighting when eating. Value: My meal was a great value for how much food I received and the variety of food. In total, my meal was $16 for 3 appetizer sized dishes, rice, and a bowl of soup. Recommend: If you are looking for a cool atmosphere with a fairly priced lunch menu, I would say this is the spot for you. If you were looking for bold flavors and a more authentic experience, I would opt to pass.
