Pottery world is quite beautiful, there is a huge selection of varying kinds of pots, pottery, statues, yard Decore, fun and festive handpainted tiles, fountains and even a restaurant. Inside is gorgeous, they sell clothes and lotions, soaps and perfumes, furniture, rugs, you name it! They got it! While their prices were on the more expensive side, if you have the cash and really love beautiful and unique pieces of furniture, This is the store for you. Located in Rocklin, you can see it from the freeway. The restaurant was very cute and quaint, the food was awesome, I highly recommend the Thai salad and the BLAT sandwich with potato salad. We got a piece of chocolate decadent cake to share afterwards, it was a tiny bit dry so I would probably not get that again but everything else was very good. Expect to pay about $30-$40 for lunch including a beverage per person. I can't wait to go back to try some other things on the menu, the only disappointment is that they don't bring you any kind of hors d'oeuvre like bread-and-butter before your meal, I saw another table with it and was looking forward to eating some, it looked great. read more

This place has every kind of fountain that you can imagine. I just wish it wasn't so pricey. If you can afford to buy, kudos, but I will still recommend window shopping too. You might get some great ideas for your home or garden. I enjoyed the indoor part of the store, as they have some great holiday decor and luxurious furniture. My husband and I went to Pottery World for a late breakfast today, Friday, May 17, 2019. We were set up at a table and after 15 minutes of waiting, not being recognized, no mention of someone coming, we go up and left. As we left there were at least 4 waitresses gathered i behind the counter just chatting! I told them that we had never been waited on, but it didn''t seem to bother them! So, if you want to be waited on go to GRANITE's - the set us up and waited on us within three minutes! Good food, good attention and friendly atmosphere! I called ahead to see if they had a particular furniture cover in stock. And yes, I specified "in stock". When I asked about a specific size, the woman (named Isabelle)sighed and sounded annoyed and replied "We have all sizes". So I drove down to the store, wandered around looking for the item for some time. I was not approached by a single associate to see if I needed anything. In fact, I couldn't seem to find anyone on the floor who worked there. So I finally got in the retail line and waited for an opportunity to ask where they were. Several of the clerks seemed too busy engaged in their own conversations to be bothered with the line, and then helped a woman who walked straight up to the counter and disregarded everyone else waiting! The sales people had been paying so little attention they didn't even seem to notice the line! When I finally had an opportunity to ask about the item I needed, I was told to go outside and ask at another area. Once there I found Isabelle, who again seemed bothered and told me that they carry very little at the store and they special order all sizes. I told her I was not happy because I was on limited time, and had called ahead to see if they had a specific size "IN STOCK". She didn't care one bit and blamed me for the misunderstaning. Why do I leave Pottery World Rocklin, CA in tears? It is always a fight to return something there. "You get a full refund if the item is returned between 1 and 14 days" where other high end stores allow 30 days, so then you're trapped into keeping something you want to return. That is mean, and they treat me like scum for trying. Everything is so overpriced and not intended or priced for the middle class customer. The cafe waitresses leave people waiting and eye-ball them first to make sure they are weathly enough to leave them a good tip before they seat you. I love the beauty of the grounds and then you walk into the designer gallery, it's simply breathtaking and changes with the seasons. A wonderful escape and you can feast your eyes on a variety of beauty. And then you have the reality of the lack of customer service at its best....Such a shame the staff in the gallery are pathetic, no friendly "Hello" how may I help you. And I might add that this has been very consistent for the last 6 years. But there is a saving grace here the staff that deal with fountains, statues and outdoor furniture and Bar None the best. Pottery World (Rocklin store) is a rip off with terrible customer service people. I will never shop there again after how I was treated today! I drove over an hour to get to the Rocklin store after work to return a clearance item that was purchased only 3 days ago. This home decor item didn't work out at my house as it was too big and not the correct style to mach my existing decor. When I presented my receipt for a return (or a store credit), the manager denied my return and said "you are going to have to keep the item." I said to this manager, I thought this was a home decor store? Meaning you have to take items home to try in order to see if they are going to work and customers should have the option to return items within a reasonable amount of time if they don't work. That's the business you are in - home decor. But NO, they didn't want to accommodate me in any way so I'm never shopping there again. I see these tactics are greedy and NOT customer oriented. Don't shop at Pottery World unless you want to be ripped off and treated poorly. read more

Went to High Tea with my mom and 2 sisters today. Was told this was an amazing experience with wonderful food and teas. I figured it must be special since I had to book my reservation out several months! I must regretfully say it was not an amazing experience! First of all I asked for a sparkling water to go with my meal. They gladly brought me the water with a check. I thought it was strange since I might want to order something else but ok not a huge deal. We got our tea served to us but had no cream or sugar at our table. It took about 5 minutes until we could get someone's attention. They brought us the cream and sugar but the cream was the individual creamers and the individual packets of sugar. You might say who cares? Well in my mind paying $45.00 per person for High Tea is a good amount of money to spend plus I was going for the "experience". The other tables had beautiful sugar bowls filled with sugar cubes and a creamer pitcher. Call me petty but I just felt a little slighted here. We started with a scone and it was absolutely delicious as is every bit of food I have ever eaten at this cafe. Then we got our second course and this is where it went horribly wrong for me. The "grilled" sandwich option had watermelon on it and cheese which I assume was supposed to be warm! The cheese was cold and coagulated and the bottom pice of bread was so soggy it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. There was a hummus and olive finger sandwich that just wasn't good to me. In my opinion the only thing that was over the top good were the chicken salad sandwich and salad. Deserts were just ok for me. In my opinion I would save your money and just have a nice meal at the cafe and possibly spend your left over $$$ in their store! Missed the mark in every way! read more

I had an enjoyable time walking around listening to the Fountains. The store is decorated for Halloween. It's very festive. We had lunch and had a wonder meals. The spinach salad is so tasty, not a leaf left on our plates. I had the turkey sandwich on delicious, dense but moist walnut cranberry bread,cream cheese and cranberries with a good two inches of turkey stacked in between slices.My friend had quiche with artichoke and she said it was delicious. Service was ok , pleasant. However everyone at the other tables had lemon water with ice but we were served water, no Ice no lemon,.. Price was reasonable. It was enjoyable afternoon! read more

This review is for the cafe. I went here specifically to try it out. I was impressed! I ordered breakfast, the Brioche French Toast with a side of ham and fresh fruit. It was so delicious. They served a local coffee from a company in Loomis. They make scones there daily so I took one home for later. My server, Dawn, was so friendly and made me feel very welcome! So your thinking pottery, clay and more pottery. Well yes there is plenty of that, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a small kitchen slash deli. The atmosphere was nice, with music playing and plenty of beautiful water fountains. I was there for a luncheon that my work put together. I honestly never would have known it was there unless someone actually took me there. I must say the food there was really good. Caesars Salad was excellent and for lunch I had the Skirt Steak Sandwich and it was"yummy". Some of my other co-workers tried the grilled salmon and prawns and found it delightful as well. We love to make an afternoon of going to Pottery World. They have gorgeous pottery from pots to figurines. They have more fountains than I have ever seen and most of them have running water so you can see and hear how they sound. We like to go to the cafe and sit outside and listen to all the fountains while eating our meal. It is so tranquil. They have an inside home decor store with very unique merchandise that is constantly changing according to the seasons. The Halloween and Christmas decor is really something to see. read more

We purchased a concrete fountain from them and they installed it within a few weeks. Leveling a heavy fountain is not an easy job, but they placed the fountain and leveled it quickly. It had a small crack of the side and water was leaking out, so I called them and they immediately added me to their schedule for having a person repair the crack. The repair person came out a few weeks later and quickly fixed the leak and a few small blemishes on the base. They once again were quick and did a great job. They are very easy to work with and their service people know their job. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at a water feature. The restaurant is pretty good also! read more

Will never give another dime to Pottery World!!! Bought a Henri fountain there, hauled it home in my truck (100 miles), spent 8 frustrating hours trying to put the pieces of the fountain together. One piece ended up not being all there, the lights for the 2nd tier of the fountain only half of them worked, the copper tubings (8 of them were all supposed to be the same length..were not), and the fountain leaked!! Called Pottery world.....here is what they said..."Your are out of our area of service"...."If we would have set it up it would have ran perfect"...."Unfortunate your lights don't work"...."It's a puzzle, the directions don't have to say every step by step"...."It doesn't take a brain scientist to figure it out"..."Sorry, nothing we can do". This place is ginormous and has so many lovely things for the home and garden. I found the perfect pot for my backyard and wished I had a lot of money to spend on impulse items. This is really hard to write because I LOVE the STORE. I spend money there and love to go and see all of the beautiful items. This is about THE CAFE..... OMG SO GROSS! I will keep this simple 1. Lady at register is so rude and unkempt. Hair a mess, bad attitude, I asked politely if there was NON FAT milk and she looked at me like I had lost my mind.. "No we only have 2 %" ( Obviously she has lots of this!) then I asked if I could have iced Pumpkin latte.. she sighed heavy and said " whatever" So I ordered my 3 drinks and was seated with my girlfriends. My other friend had ordered 2 other drinks and a cranberry cheesecake. A different very nice women delivered it to the table, instantly one of our friends yelled "WAIT DONT EAT THAT!!" She pointed horrified at the cake, it WAS MOLDY!! Huge spots ALL OVER IT! The person delivering it took it and my friend followed her back to counter and she asked my friend if she would like something complimentary in exchange, before my friend could answer... miss unruly hair piped in with " No she doesn't want anything!" Um excuse me, but you work the registar and speak for my friend? Really? She was hungry and wanted something, but after that, she left in disgust. We all agreed that we will NEVER ever eat in there again, or drink in there agian. DISGUSTING! We spend a lot of money in Rocklin and will now visit Pottery World to shop and maybe go to Venita Reyes or Bistro 33 next time. So sad... it was a great girls spot a long time ago. We have bought two large fountains and one metal-framed gazebo in the past. The store is nearby and convenient, and unlike some of the reviews stating no one offering to help, we have been approached often asking if we need assistance. Currently here in the spring of 2017, I came in to purchase a fountain, and ended up purchasing two fountains. The sales person told me I would be contacted the next day to arrange for scheduling delivery. I went back to the store late the next day for something else, and I inquired about scheduling because I hadn't yet been contacted. The same person then told me I would be called the following day for scheduling. The following day no one called. The day after that I called and spoke with the scheduler, who said I would be put on the schedule and called later that same day. Later that day no one called. So on Day 4, I called again and asked what is going on. Each previous time I inquired about scheduling, I had been told they were very busy and I was told this again on Day 4. On Day 4, I was told rather rudely, they have been busy and then I was also told that someone had tried to call me on Day 3 but got a busy signal. My cell phone does not provide a busy signal and I told that to the scheduler, who remained rude and insistent that someone tried to reach me - my cell phone shows no missed calls and no incoming calls from them since Day 1. I was not only treated somewhat rudely and tersely, but they were not being forthright when telling me that someone tried to call. Bottom line, they were happy to take my money but after that I don't feel like I was followed up with on a customer service basis. $2k is a lot of money to me and while it may not be a lot of money to the store, I reasonably expected better follow-up service than this. There was no apology on any of my proactive follow-ups to try to determine when we should expect delivery; just a constant theme of "we are very busy", followed by being (I believe) mislead in that someone tried to contact me. Great selection, convenient location, but there are alternatives. read more

Pottery World is by far my favorite place to be!!! I love to shop here and I love the cafe!!! My best friend and I spend hours looking around at their beautiful home decor after we have our coffee and lunch at the cafe. Even though some of their stuff is a bit pricey, I always find a great deal in their clearance or a great find amongst all the other items. Great store, just wish I could get help. Was in last weekend, and after 15 minutes finally got somebody to help me. Though the help was she couldn't answer any questions and told us to come back in the next weekend when their sale was starting, and they would have new stuff in. Now it's next weekend, they are having an event, been offered cheese and wine but no help with the furniture. Only 1 new piece since last weekend. 20 minutes and still no help. So....I had to go up to Auburn for the weekend (3 1/2 hour drive) to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. While trying to decide what to do Saturday, I noticed an ad for the sale happening at Pottery World and needing some pots for a landscape project, suggested we go there and see if she'd find something we could get her for her gift. Well....WHO KNEW that I'd be entering my idea of "heaven". Sure, it's a pottery store...it's also a gorgeous home decor paradise, a clothing boutique, and a cafe, (with outdoor patio seating, complete with misters. Gotta love a good mist on a 90 degree day) I spent a good two hours just checking things out and then "demanded??" the entire family go back the following day for lunch and some serious buying. What a find!!! Service was great, lunch was surprisingly delicious and my backyard (and home) are all the more beautiful. First,This is a pottery, statutory, high end patio with " Big" as in massive furniture, as in . Faux Tuscan. Now saying that , it is also home to a casual cute cafe, adding in High Tea bimonthly......Very popular requiring reservations. Many poeple even after the typical lunch time were enjoying their good eats. The highlight could easily be the many layered cakes and tarts, luscious looking selections and flavors cheese cakes.... Visually spectacular in the case where you enter and get seated.... Next visit I will skip the lunch and just indulge. Good food, prepared when ordered. Professional cheerful service. The kitchen is small and yet they turn out a nice variety to choose. All quality fresh food items. Everything is made on the premise. .. I had the quiche whic was a generous serving cheese melted unil creamy on top with a firm rich clasic egg custard mixture.. The thick artichoke soup and dill were a tasty combination.
