Only available rugs are large Persian area ones with the exception of just 2 small rugs in colors I wasn't going for. I mentioned to the folks here I was in the market for a specific small size and a particular color rug. While the service was professional, I honestly felt that because I didn't drain my bank account with any of their items, tone and body language changed towards the end and were way off. But to their benefit, rugs are quality and these folks have a lot of daring pieces. Even the items that have cracks or marks on them, were outrageously priced.

We were intent on trying out mattresses in person, so no online ordering of an untested mattress-in-a-box for us. The new location of R&F in White Plains (in the old Stickley showroom ) is spacious, clean and beautifully laid out with a separate section for mattresses. We were fortunate to be greeted by Monet who was friendly and helpful, listened to what we were looking for (inner spring, not foam), asked questions about our sleep preferences, and showed us the brands we wanted to see plus a few others that she recommended. She gave us time and space so we could discuss and evaluate on our own, but stayed close by so we could call her to ask additional questions. Choosing a mattress is not easy and very personal, and she was not at all pushy or intent on selling us the highest priced model. In fact we specifically did not ask about price points initially until we narrowed down which options we liked best, because we didn't want price to be the primary factor for such an important and longterm purchase. R&F has quite a wide range of price points, from basic through Aireloom and S&F Reserve. We ultimately chose the Avocado pillow top because we are side sleepers and want medium support, and the feel of that mattress was very comfortable and different than others we tried. The organic materials are also appealing because I have sensitivity to chemical smells and did not want to sleep amidst off gassing. We purchased the mattress during R&F friends and family sale, and also purchased the mattress protector so we could take advantage of their 120 trial period that allows us to trade for another model if we end up not liking the one we bought. That's not as long as the year-long trial period that Saatva offers, but it's good to know we have the option to change our minds and choose from a wide variety of other models. R&F delivered a few days later within 20 minutes of the scheduled arrival time, and the complimentary white glove service was excellent. Friendly and courteous drivers carted away our old mattress and set up the new one for us. All in all we are delighted with our purchase and with the entire White Plains R&F experience.

We are moving out of our apartment and have a number of goods (sofa, table, chairs, etc) that we need to get rid of. We were hoping to sell or exchange them with Best Used Furniture. I called and asked if they would be interested in coming over to check out our goods. "Absolutely!" I was told and that they would be over on Monday evening. Monday evening rolls around, my wife and I are packing for our move. The appointment time comes and goes. No one shows. No one calls. Finally after repeated phone calls to Hugo we are told "I'm sorry we have so much going on, I can't make it. Tomorrow night, I give you my word." We must get rid of these goods, so wife and I cancel our plans for the next night. Again, waiting around. The appointed time comes and goes....no show, no call. Again, repeated phone calls to Hugo and Best Used Furniture. This time no answer at all. I call the next day and get a string of excuses. Finally we reschedule a third time for Thursday morning. We are inconvenienced, yet again but figure out a way to have someone there. Best Used arrives, assesses the situation and we come to an agreement. Saturday morning, 10am they will come by to pick up all our goods. Now we are waiting around Saturday for this very important pick up as these MUST be gone. 10am. No show. No call. We proceed to call and leave voicemails, no answer. Now, almost a week later we have not been given the DECENCY of a response. I do not think Hugo and Best Used are malicious. I think they are incompetent. They are completely unreliable unless you hand deliver goods to them. I you are buying anything from them just know this is how they treat people they buy from, so do not expect much better for how they will treat you as a customer.
