A few of us got some breakfast here to fill up our stomach before the hike. We ordered, paid, and got our food within 5 minutes. I got the breakfast burrito with sausage, cheddar, and roasted corn. I paid about 5.29 after tax and the burrito was pretty sizable with lots of sausage chunks. Overall, pretty solid breakfast burrito. Everyone else enjoyed their breakfast item, too.

It seemed to intertwine with other trails, very similar to the Bull Run Mountain in Broad Run. I was excited to get started. I chose the blue trail. - All was good and fine until about the first mile. (Kelly K. You are correct!) After that the greenery kinda invades your path and you feel like you are on more of a deer trail. That's o.k with me at times. I am a very alert and very aware hiker. I listen and follow my instincts. Doesn't mean I don't take dumb chances, just means I am aware I'm doing something dumb. lol. Like today! - I followed some baby deer for quite a while. They had no clue I was there. I hike like a Ninja! I do. lol... I am sooo quiet. That's how I see all the deer and bear but I know that can work against me sometimes too... Like today! (check my pics for the baby deer. They were 10 feet from me). - I got to a point in the trail where I had to mark my route... What Was well marked, was then... not marked at all for a couple of turns. I started to become a bit jumpy and with the wind blowing today, it masked the usual sounds of a quiet forest. I was unable to use my ninja skills to tell if there was wildlife close by...so I had my head on a swivel. At this point, I was at the abandoned little barn, Just up from the "thinning pine tree forest". Check pics. I took a path that came out in a sort of clearing that screamed wildlife! Deer everywhere. One jumped out in front of me with his white fluffy tail bouncing across the field and I STG I thought I was going to have a heart attack! OMG. No kidding. I had to stop and make sure I was breathing! That darn wind. I never heard him coming! Now, I'm in a spot that is very sketchy and that wind is not letting me pick up a sign of what's around me..... I was stopping every 15 steps to look and listen before I moved on. No. Kidding. It was just like that. I know. I guess I watch a lot of movies... .But as much as that hinders me it also makes me a better hiker! My ninja skills were at MAX! My heart was pumping dude. - After a while, I got back to where the path looked more traveled and I continued to see deer until I reached the car again. *I was not happy to hear a shotgun go off as I neared the end of the hike but I was, infact happy that I wore my bright orange top! Holy cow people! Stop shooting into the woods! Dang! - Well, that was my first time hiking here. Will I come back? You can bet your booties on it! That was pretty freaking awesome. :-)

This place seems to get considerable ire. No gas station, that serves chicken, will be perfect each…read morevisit. The chicken and its an opinion, used to seem better quality. Prices are up for inflation, who knows if or when that happens. The convenience store is quite good. If you want low prices, for gasoline this should work. They have lots of pumps, with considerable range. Nice employees that take the time, to make sure good offers are accurate. Decent clean restrooms . This isn't a must stop location, but it's works for these quick meal experiences. Pretty area also.

They have a warmer with pre-made breakfast sandwiches. You can also order breakfast sandwiches (and other sandwiches) - custom made to go. Custom food orders are placed on a digital kiosk. I ordered two Bacon, Egg, & Cheese sandwiches - with extra bacon and cheese; one Sausage, Egg, & Cheese sandwich - with extra cheese, and a hash brown. I got the food to go. As I was heading down the road eating, I discovered they totally botched my order: - 1 Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit had no cheese at all - 1 Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit had one slice of cheese - The Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit had one slice of cheese - The Hash Brown was terrible. It had an odd texture to it. When my food was ready, they handed me a pile of pre-wrapped food - with no bag. When I asked for a bag - I was told to go over to one of the self-checkout stations to get a bag. Great customer service experience. NOT. You'll have a much better custom breakfast sammich experience at the Sheetz across the street. #RoyalFarms

The old location was the old Sheetz look. The new location is much nicer on the inside compared to the old. I pulled in today to refuel. Paid at the pump using Apple Pay then went inside to see the new layout and take advantage of the facilities for a quick bio-break. #Sheetz

Eva Walker Memorial Park is at the corner of Alexandria Pike and North Street. Just across from…read moreCold Stone Creamery and just two blocks down from Historical Downtown Warrenton. There is small kid playground and a big kid playground right next to each other. There's a paved path around the park. I'd say about 1/2 mile long. A couple picnic tables, a shelter, a restroom facility with flushing toilets, and a basketball court with a stack of stadium seats. The horseshoe pits are in the shade and may need a quick clean up before use. Hard to maintain horseshoe pits unless it gets a lot of action. It's also just up from the public library so get a book and settle in under the trees. I tried to research Eva Walker and found nothing online, but thats strange because we also have a Walker Drive close by. I guess sooner or later I'll stumble across the story and add to this post. Green grass, shady trees and a nice park all around. Come enjoy!

My hubby goes here often, to buy lottery tickets. I often go with him, and use my credit card to…read morepurchase gas. Sometimes, I go inside to use the restroom. Recently, we stopped there, to buy gas and lottery tickets, and I went inside. I saw an opened container of mayonnaise on top of the microwave oven, beside opened containers of ketchup and mustard. Knowing that mayo can cause food poisoning, if left out at room temperature for more than a couple of hours, I brought the container to the cashier, and advised her about food safety concerns, and advised her to throw it away, and not keep opened bottles of mayo out, explaining that their customers could get violently ill. The cashier told me to tell the manager, which I did. I told him my concerns, and advised him to throw it away. He did throw it away. Please be careful when you go into any convenience store and use their opened condiments! Some people just don't know that leaving opened mayo jars can cause food poisoning!

I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and a side of potato wedges for lunch. These are pre-made and stored in a heated glass display case. I added some ketchup to the burger before devouring. It was a very average burger - remembering it's been in the case a bit, I would have liked the bacon to be cooked just a tad longer. The potato wedges were definitely past their prime and were starting to dry out. But it filled an empy stomach... I'm tempted to try out their Chincoteague oysters - I need to check with Jon L. and see how those turned out! One thing I like about this location is that is DOES NOT smell like cigarettes! The Mayhugh's Store with the Nokesville, VA address smells like someone is in there constantly smoking cigarettes!
