I am just now about to start eating the second half of what I think is absolutely the best calzone I have ever had. And I've eaten calzones all over the country including Chicago and NY. I had it delivered, along with one of their amazing custom salads. They never take more than 30 minutes to get the food here. And their delivery people are always friendly and polite. Really nice people. The calzone was brown and crispy, top and bottom, and chock full of the ingredients I asked for. There was about a one inch strip of crimped crust around the edges and the rest was almost overflowing with delicious ingredients. Absolutely perfect. I cant say enough about how great Potters Pizza is. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Their salads to order are incredible. And the prices are great. Finally made it in for lunch and the buffet is huge! Lots of options . . . pizza, wings, salad bar, pasta, deserts, etc. Quite a few people there and plenty of good, hot pizza to go around. I like it and will definitely be back. My only 'issues' would be that there seems to be a lot of employees there to get your drink and ask you if you need anything. I know that may sound like a good thing, but when I get a buffet, I'd rather be left alone to get my eats and drinks myself. I really wanted to like this place. I've heard so many good things. I called in an order the gluten free pizza. I got all the way home and the dough wasn't cooked. Anytime I've had a gluten free pizza from anywhere else the thing I enjoy the most is the crispy, thin, gluten free crust. I did enjoy the flavor of the marinara. First of all, I have to mention that we had the best service. It was great for any restaurant, but for a buffet, it was seriously the BEST service. When making special pizza or wings requests, they genuinely seemed to want to do it, not like you were inconveniencing them. So let's start with the salad bar, totally stocked up with super fresh ingredients. Ranch dressing tasted homemade; delicious! The pizza was great, fresh and hot, lots of variety. My kids loved the pasta and Mac n cheese and I love that if they don't want pizza, they have choices. My husband tried the wings and he said they were pretty good and meaty, but wants to warn you, the hot is hot. Lastly, dessert was good; definitely save room for the cinnamon sticks! The ice cream was also a nice meal ender, but next time, I'm just going to eat the cinnamon sticks bc they were that good. If you are super hungry this buffet might be a good deal at $9.99 for an adult including the drink. They have a gluten free crust option ($2 extra) and chicken wings available which I haven't encountered at a pizza buffet before. That being said the crust was too chewy for my taste, even the thin crust. Most of the pizzas didn't have enough cheese or sauce. We did put in a request for a thin crust that had several toppings and it was the best of the bunch. They have the standard pasta and salad bar as well. Good customer service. Lots of space. Potter's Pizza is a bargain for folks with a big appetite but we have gotten accustomed to more flavorful pizza. read more

I had really high hopes for this place, but I was highly disappointed. Honestly I feel like they opened a little early. The food tastes a lot like school cafeteria food and the atmosphere was very lacking as well. Our waitress never came back after the first time, but made sure to check on the tables around us. We loved this place! You're greeted and seated by a hostess and a waitress will take your drink and food order. The dining room is spacious and tables aren't practically stacked on top of each other. You have the option of ordering off of a small menu (calzones and a few other items), or you can get the buffet which includes all you can eat salad, wings, soups, pasta, pizza, AND a drink for $9.99. The salad bar is awesome. Veggies are crisp and fresh and there are a TON of toppings to choose from. I'd say this is the best salad bar in town. I skipped the pasta and wings this visit, but noticed people going back for seconds. Another person in our party had some cheddar broccoli soup and said it was "ok". Everyone in our party liked the pizza. It was kept very warm on the buffet and they were constantly putting out new pizzas (you can also ask for a specific pizza if you don't see it on the buffet). The pizza crust was a good thickness and not greasy at all and the flavor of the sauce was good! Not the best pizza I've ever had, but certainly nowhere near the worst. Much better quality than frozen or Cici's like I've seen other reviews compare it to. Only major negative was that our waitress let us run out of plates by the end of the visit which was frustrating, but they keep bowls on the buffet so we just started putting stuff in those! They dont put Taco pizza and Philly cheese steak on the buffet, we were told we would have to order those pizza's separate from buffet. They have an ice cream machine which was cool -except it malfunctioned and spewed ice cream all over my brand new blouse. Awesome. My son got ice cream spewed on his face. He at least thought it was hilarious -makes one of us. Finally went to the register to pay without a ticket since our waitress disappeared. I had a coupon that nobody could seem to apply and since I didn't have a ticket, I had to just tell the cashier how many people were in our party. I later learned that kids under 3 are free?! Nobody told me that and I sure did pay for a kid under three. Maybe if we had an actual ticket to give the cashier, I wouldn't have overpaid. What a totally great place;especially if you're taking the family! The food was unbelievably delicious! And there was so many choices......from the large variety of totally scrumptious pizza( and there are so many varieties;you can even request a "Build Your Own",with up to 3 toppings to the delectable choice of chicken wings and pasta to a yummy salad bar and the soft serve ice cream that was so smooth and creamy(when most Buffet ice creams are thin and watery!)! And not only is the drink included in the amazingly low price, but, they also include a 20 oz carry out drink when you can get when you leave! What really impressed us most is the customer service and waitstaff! Our server,Debbie, was a total rockstar and anticipated our every need.She was so courteous and caring,as was most everyone that worked there. Heard that it my not last in Abilene. Pizza on the buffet was cold. Not much taste. I put some broccoli cheese soup in a bowl and I realized how thick it was. I added chicken broth from the other soup. At our table I tried to mix it and still so thick. Waitress asked how everything was and I thought I would be doing a favor to the restaurant to tell them they needed to do something about the broccoli soup. Waitress said "This is the guy you need to tell" because he was the manager. He had been watching people come in. He made a few steps over. Gave me a look like he acknowledged what I said.
