Great brisket, hearty sausage, and great portions. The baked beans are amazing -- and don't skip the turkey, it's unexpectedly awesome.

The first time I came, the line was so long, it went all the way back to the railroad tracks and I was too hungry to stand in line for an hour. Their street tacos were delicious. I ordered 2 al pastor and 4 carne Asada street tacos. I finished it within 5 minutes and wished I ordered more. I did like the carne Asada more than the al pastor. It had a rich and smokey flavor. The tortilla was warm and soft and the tacos were full of meat. The staff was friendly and everyone was so nice. People were sitting in their cars and blasting music. It was a party in the parking. Definitely chilled vibes.

Went back on Monday this week and the tacos are still really good and piled high with meat, but…read morethere was no grilled pineapple on the pastor! Bring back the grilled piña please! We also ordered a piña agua Fresca and it was really good. The line was long because of the $1 tacos, so we waited for about 25 minutes to order and another 10 to get sauce. That really wasn't that big of a deal, though, because the tacos are good and for $1 I expect there to be a big line. *** pro tip: bring your own salsa containers! I brought some from home that fit 4 scoops in each and the way people were staring in envy lol. It'll shorten wait times if everyone just brings a slightly bigger sauce container from home!

Good sign the food is worth standing in line for!!! (When you see a line of folks ordering). They moved the line pretty fast as you watch them putting everything together on the orders. I tried the The Cali it is made with asada as the meat. For me the asada needed a little more salt/flavoring. Again my Mama used garlic salt, that gives the food an extra burst of flavor. But my bowl over all was very tasty. The potato was cooked to perfection and cheese melted throughout the bowl. It's topped with crema... I was a little taken back because there wasn't much crema on top of my bowl of deliciousness. Which I would have liked to have more crema...as I watched the other bowls being prepared, there was a good amount of crema. So that is why I rated my experience at Cornatoes a (4). I will return to give them more business in the near future. I encourage everyone to stop by and give them a try. Mondays they are at the Kaiser on Big Horn in Elk Grove and Fridays at the Kaiser on Bruceville in South Sacramento. They're at the Farmers Markets held in these days at Kaiser. I apologize I didn't catch the hours of operation. But I know they are opened during the lunch hour.

A PLUS is they are very clean & they do not skimp you on your portions! I am definitely coming back! I tried the cornato- loaded baked potato / elote style & added carne asada. I got my sauces on the side & I highly recommend the spicy sauce! Everything tastes so fresh! I recommend parking in the parking garage instead of looking for parking around! They also have order ahead options if you are on a time crunch! I can't wait to get some again Thank you so muchhhh Vicky & Oscar

The woman who took took my order was very friendly and helpful.I ended up ordering a dozen tamales($42)-half chicken half pork with a small side of beans rice and salsa.I also decided to order something for myself since I was going to be there-so I added the iconic Yo-Burrito($14)-but more on that later. I made my way out there and the woman working there had my order ready right on time, which is always appreciated-the place is a smaller spot with a few tables but it's much more setup as a to-go spot in my opinion-which is perfect. The tamales that we got for the party were pretty much perfect-nice size-flavorful sauce, tender meat, tasty masa-everybody loved em,as I expected-one can never go wrong if your in the mood for some tamales in the Sacramento area-they are the best-but I want to talk about that burrito. I've had a lot of burritos in my day-in fact I've spent a little time as a burrito reviewer on another app,so I don't say this too lightly-but the Yo-burrito is probably the most unique burrito you can get in Sacramento and most likely a top 3 overall burrito in Sacramento. The fillings are pretty generic, rice, beans, cheese, pic de gallo but where they turn it up a level is when they add 2 of their signature tamales into the burrito as the protein and man does that change everything. The combo of those tamales in the middle of all the flavors from the burrito fillings is just dynamite-I highly recommend it-if you consider yourself a burrito connoisseur-your resume will be incomplete if you haven't had the pleasure of trying this great item. In closing-when you find yourself craving some homemade style tamales,I would definitely give these guys a call-they are pretty great-a very solid options for parties or holiday gatherings or if u just want a tamale for lunch that day. PS.....One quick tip-this place offers a lower price for cash payment-so if you're looking to keep costs down, that's an option...Also this place has a history in winning the taco throwdowns in Sacramento,so I'm assuming their tacos are pretty great here as well, though I've never tried them myself.
